HOUSE CROFT
Diane, Bohrin, and Siere Croft returned home to stand before the Croft patriarch.
Matias Croft…
Matias Croft worked tirelessly to elevate House Croft's name.
"He didn't sign the contract?" Matias's voice cut through the silence, cold and biting.
Diane glanced nervously at her father, her lips trembling as she tried to speak.
“He…didnt…but I was—”
“You had one job: get him to sign the contract and not suspect a thing…I even told you that if you were to throw your hands around him, then you should have done it!!”
Matias's harsh voice reverberated through the hall. Diane trembled, her legs wobbled, and she could barely stand.
“Now, not only did you fail, but you also got your brother to fall into this failure of yours!!”
Standing silently before their father, Diane, Bohrin, and Siere were unable to comprehend what would happen next.
None spoke about the events. They knew nothing would resolve what had happened.
The doors of the Manor shot open, and three figures could be seen walking into the Hall.
Two men wore robes; one wore a white robe with green entrails and serpentine embroidery. The second one was a Black robe with panther embroidery. Standing in the center was a man dressed elegantly, and on his back was the symbol of a badger with the wings of a hawk.
Matias rose, knowing nothing could save him.
Right in front of him was the Patriarch of the Felnior family, Theolir Felnior. A High House coming to meet the Crofts was something that no one would even want to imagine possible, but not in that lifetime or the next.
Matias cleared his throat, looking at Theolir, who stood there with a stale look on his face.
“Lord Theolir, I—”
“I asked you if you were going to be able to handle this contract, and you told me that his obsession with your daughter would be the key to taking that house down once and for all!”
Theolir’s voice sent chills through the spines of everyone present.
Matias didn't say anything, looking at Theolir, he had fear and guilt written all over his face.
“...”
The man wearing the green robe stepped forward, with a crude smile on his face. Urin Cove, an SS-class Ascendant, title, Venomous Oak, was a very proud man, full of himself, and had everything laid out.
"Lord Matias, not only did you fail to fulfill Lord Theolir’s conditions, but everything fell apart. Our student was mocked—"
Urin spoke calmly, unfazed by anything.
"We will collect our pound of flesh from House Valin. Mock our star, and nothing of that house will survive."
The other man scoffed loudly. His facial scar signified he was no ordinary master.
Kiro Lorian, SS-class grandmaster called Tidal Blade, was a dangerous weapon and a member of the Order of Nine Paragons.
“Do you see anything funny with what I said, Kiro?” Urin was looking at Kiro.
“Not that I was arguing, but you see, House Valin is on its last legs, and if we should do anything, then it would be an assault in the public eye,” Kiro spoke silently, knowing that there was something that would be the starting point of their plan.
“Now, Matias,” Theolir spoke again, looking at the members of House Croft. “... I would want the relics and treasures you took from House Valin, I know they are in your possession…”
Matias didn't know how he was going to say no to the man right in front of him. If he made any move, he would be annihilated in a matter of seconds.
“Lord Theolir, there isnt going to be a chance I will hand all of them over…if I do, then…”
“Then what?” Theolir cut Matias off, his eyes filled with pure rage. The room shook as he let his aether leak from his body.
"Afraid of returning to groveling? Picking crumbs beneath High Houses?"
Theolir's aether pulsed, shaking the room. Most Croft members dropped to their knees.
Theolir wasn't just a noble; he was an S-class ascendant, a powerful man skilled in martial arts who often trained under the Nine Paragons.
“The Grandmasters will be with you, and they will also make sure that House Valin’s final legs are broken and the relics…we will take it.”
Theolir had a smile. He turned and took a bow, leaving the Grandmasters with the Crofts.
[HOUSE VALIN TRAINING COURT~]
Emrys and Reed were sparring, their hands clashing, causing shockwaves across the room, and there wasnt nothing or no one who could stand in their midst.
Reed was fast, moving like the shadow of his opponents, and Emrys was able to keep up with him because he suffered a trail called the wings of hollows in his former life.
He grew faster and stronger, he grew attuned to his surroundings, and there was nothing that would even get past him.
“Is it me, or did you get stronger?” Reed spoke, his eyes on Emrys as he moved through the field trying to break Emrys’ ironclad defense.
Emrys moved; he couldn't use his full abilities. If he did, then his body would shatter before he moved.
Emrys dodged and placed his leg before Reed's strike.
“...let's, it's something I picked up!”
About to strike, but Reed pushed his leg forward, knocking Emrys off balance, then he slammed his head into him.
Emrys fell on his butt…
Reed smiled, seeing his nephew hold his ground.
"Glad to see you training—better than chasing Croft skirts."
Emrys nodded as he shook off the dust; his head was clear.
“I intend on focusing on my training; there has to be something else for me…”
They shook hands.
“Then it means that House Valin has a strong chance of retaining the hold…”
Sel entered, accompanied by someone.
“Sel, what in the world is going on?” Emrys asked, and he turned to see that the person standing next to her was the Steward of the Valin House.
“Lord….Emrys…” the Steward spoke, his voice shaking. He was clearly always nervous around the family's heads.
He fixed his collar, struggling to breathe.
“...I noticed that some of the relics in the imperial vault were missing, S and SS-classed relics, and some other artifacts worth hundreds of millions of gold crypts. And I…”
“You what? Come on, speak, this is your house as much as it is mine, so speak freely…” Emrys spoke calmly, trying to see that the Steward would remain calm.
“I was threatened by Bohrin Croft, if I made a word, he would tell you to let him do what he wanted to me…please don't, I have children at home and…”
“I have no affiliation with House Croft. If they hurt you, they hurt one of us…and they will pay dearly for it.”
Emrys reassured him again, trying to calm the Steward.
He was looking at Emrys, and he felt the warmth in his voice and presence.
“They took the relics and artifacts, saying that they had the right to do anything…they wanted.”
Emrys stood there, looking at the steward.
“Thank you for telling me, and rest assured, they will never do anything to hurt you.”
Emrys turned to his uncle, looking him in the eye.
“You want to do this?” Reed asked, a crooked smile on his face.
"Of course. It’s time they learn House Valin’s true purpose."

Blades of the Riftborn!
In the Year 2147…House Valin was expecting a child; Lady Ellara was due to give birth, but the child didn't come as planned. During delivery, the child drained all the blood in its mother's womb and almost didn't come out alive. House Valin almost lost their lady; Kane Valin didn't know what to do. Confused and lost, he searched for answers but got none. But then… In the Hall of Dragons, the statues of two great divine dragons began glowing. The statues of Argrona, Singularity King of the West, and Nefirti, Rift Queen of the Southern Hemisphere. Both of them contested who would have the child; neither won. So they both blessed the child from birth with the ability to control gravity and tear rifts in space and time. Making the child's hair have two colors, white showing Nefirti’s blessing and black showing Argrona’s hand! That child was Sel Valin! “Ao's Roar!” Sel slashed her blade down, sending Hardley crashing back. Hardley was shocked that the girl in front of him wasn'

In the building at the top of the Eastern Side, a man sitting on a throne could be seen with four women close by. They were massaging him, from the hip up. Hardley Wade, the cruel leader of the Hardly Gang, was as ruthless as their name made them look. Monsters who didn't care if someone was part of a noble house or even a Sovereign House; they would do anything in their power to make sure that they would get their hands on the person. He was an enforcer Diane Croft hired and placed in charge of the company she took from Emrys through illicit means. “Lord Hardley, I heard you're the one in charge of all these places now the Crofts aren't doing anything.” “Ahh, he has to be one of the few people allowed to own something like this without the King and his princes trying to butt in. Lord Hardley is truly special!” The women were rubbing themselves on Hardley, trying to get him to speak. Opening his eyes, Hardley had a smile on his face, looking at the ladies around him. “You kno
The Violet Dragon Arrives
Emrys and Kai stood right outside the Valin Manor; Kai was getting ready to depart.“I will be heading back to the house to see if I will be able to awaken my vestige and be ready to help you. I have sent out word for the other heirs to get ready for the upcoming horrors.” Emrys nodded, looking at the young man in front of him, and there was something about the way he stood that caught his eye. “Kai, you need not worry about what is going to happen…” Emrys spoke, his voice clear that he had no fear, and it was going to be one of the oddest things if he were held down by anything else. “Keep your eyes on acquiring the vestige; we have something brewing in the shadows, and I can’t fight it all alone…” Emrys stretched out his hand and looked at Kai. He realized that there was one thing he did in his former life that made it even harder: it took him time to find allies. And when he did find one, he never let Luther get close enough. It was almost like he was pushing him away with ev
Divine Vestiges?
“So you mean that there are demons in the realm already, and we know nothing of it?” Kai was looking at Emrys; they sat at the table, thinking about what would help them with what was going on and how far it would take their heads, deep into the trouble right in front of them. “The chances are there, and we have not been trying to fish them out. So there is a good chance that we are dealing with something that lies deep in the heart of the realm.” Reed spoke, his eyes on the newly drawn map of the realm in front of them, on what it showed and what it meant. “We aren't dealing with something small, unlike what you wish or hope; this is far more sinister, and from what I can feel, it is more precise and straight to the point.” Kai stared at him, nodding, knowing there were far deeper issues to handle, and that the way it had shown itself was more disturbing than anything they had hoped for. “So what you are saying is that there is a good chance we have been dealing with them all t

Thorin House…Since the day House Valin cut ties with Croft by refusing the contract in front of everyone. Kyle Thorin, in front of everyone, was made fun of. He stood right in front of Emrys, and not even a word could come out when Emrys stared him cold in the eyes. Jason Thorin, the head of House Thorin, a man who couldn't take weakness for an answer. The fight with the demon raged on, Emrys controlling his aether and movements, trying to make sure that he wouldn't destroy the buildings or lives close to them. Kai moved efficiently across the battlefield; there was something about the demon that left him void of words. ‘This thing…’ He thought to himself; soon he and Emrys were standing side by side. “The demon is taunting us; it hasn't used a powerful move yet because it believes that there is a chance for it to defeat us.” Emrys said what was on Kai’s mind; there was something rather fascinating about the attacks that made them feel even more threatening. Kai had a smile on his face, looking at the demon, knowing that there wasnt anything that would prepare anyone for the next battle. “Emrys, if we keep facing this demon here, then it would eventually spread out…” He pulled his spear down, staring at the monster right in front of him, and there was something about the way it held it up. The hands cracked, as if it were a
