The moment Emrys stepped out of the party, standing in front of the hall.
He felt a dreadful banging ring in his head, which almost made him fall to the floor.
“What the hell!?” he held his head, trying to get his mind clear.
‘Emrys Valin, You have made the first step in rewriting your fate…’
A calm, cool female mechanical voice rang in his head. He looked around, but he couldn’t see anyone.
‘Now walk on the Celestial path and take the title of Dragon Archon.’
Emrys stopped looking around. He couldn’t find anyone, and he had a hint of what he was dealing with.
“Reveal yourself, what are you, and why are you targeting me?!”
‘Oh, Child of Ruins, you still carry regret in your heart even though you have been given the chance to rewrite your fate.’
Emrys stood still; the voice knew his identity and secrets.
“How do you know that?” he asked, mind racing through scenarios.
‘I am that which has been and always been, the one who witnesses it all!’
Emrys’ body had a tingle when he got the title of the one who walked the path of Ruins, trying to reach the gates of Final Ascension…
He knew that he was being observed by the very ones who held the world together.
The Divine Cadre
“How do you know I won’t make a mistake this time?” he asked, searching the room.d.
‘I know you won't fail, because you know you won't…’
‘You already took the first step, now, child. Because this turned out this way doesn't mean the other steps will be easy for you…’
Emrys already knew he had entered a territory full of possibilities; it all depended on how he approached it.
“I won't fail…not this time.”
‘I know you won't…Now I will be waiting for you, at the end of the paths of the imperial order of blades…’
Emrys felt his right eye burn; he knelt, trying not to rub it too hard.
‘That is a gift from me, it will serve as a stepping stone…now don't fail me, Dragon Archon…’
The voice vanished, Emrys couldn't feel its presence anymore, and he tried to beat the burning sensation in his right eye.
He walked over to the fountain right in the middle of the yard, where he stood.
Looking into the body of water, he saw something strange. His right eye had a powerful crimson glow… its color had changed from emerald; now it was almost like a sea of blood mixed with precious stones.
“What in the world is this?” he asked, trying to see if the eye was going to hurt if he touched it. But to his greatest surprise, it didnt hurt, and it felt like nothing had happened.
“Hmm, I will see what this is when I get back home…”
Emrys turned, and he saw his carriage. The symbol of Valin on it, as there were pegasuses holding the carriage, waiting for him to come out.
He boarded the carriage, and they flew away. He looked out the window, knowing that there was something waiting for him at home.
The moment Emrys left, another carriage pulled in. It was a well-decorated Hovercraft.
Out of it came a tall woman, who rushed in, not looking back.
Siere Croft, Diane’s mother and the wife of Hortio Croft. As expected, a nosy informant who wanted to be in the good graces of the Crofts had called them; the details of what they were told remained unknown.
But it was that well said that made Siere come on short notice.
“Diane?!” She called out as her eyes darted around, trying to find her daughter, spotting her while she tended to Bohrin.
Siere rushed to their side as she helped her son up, trying to make sure they didn’t do anything wrong.
“Tell me,” she demanded, eyes gleaming. “Did Emrys Valin do this? Did that bastard humiliate my son and daughter in front of everyone?”!”
Diane, still pouring out her crocodile tears, nodded before clinging to Siere.
“Oh, mother, he was acting like a savage and there—” she broke down, acting as if she had been through hell.
“Now, dear, don't worry…your father will make sure that House Valin will pay for their transgressions…”
Siere held her daughter, knowing that there was something about to happen.
Emrys Back at Valin Estate, Emrys arrived, bringing the focus from the earlier confrontation to the security and familiarity of his family home. The last time he saw the mansions and buildings on the estate, they were burning down…
But now, right in front of him, the House stood high…
He walked to the door and opened it; inside, the banners were mounted on either side.
It felt welcoming.
‘I'm home…’
The moment Emrys stepped in, he looked around, and then his eyes were caught by a lady standing in the middle of the corridor.
Her skin glowed, her hair long and curly, half of it was the same silver white, and the other side black.
Emrys stood there, battling waves of grief and relief, struggling not to break down and let the tears fall.s.
“Sel…” His voice trembled.
“Brother?” She called out, her face a look of surprise.
Only three years older than her, he looked at the sister he had once failed.
“Why are you here? Shouldn't you be with Diane Croft and the others?”
She sounded cold.
Emrys stood there in shock. He understood what was going on.
Before he went down to the banquet, there was a fight. And they told him that it would be suicide…
He had turned a deaf ear to their warnings; there wouldn't be anything left for them.
“I didn't sign the contract…” Emrys spoke.
And he saw the look on Sel’s face, noticing her stand right back straight.
“...you didn't take the contract with the Crofts?” Sel asked, her ocean-blue eyes on Emrys. She never imagined that there would be a day when Emrys would stop running after Diane and trying to get her to notice him…
Emrys nodded.
“I found out that they were trying to drag us under…the contract had a hidden clause, and if I signed it…We would have been errand boys for House Croft and House Felnior.”
Sel raised a brow, knowing that there were many possibilities that nobody would find the clause.
“How on Verma's name did you know?”
She questioned, puzzled to see that Emrys could pull something like that.
Emrys smiled; his eyes dimmed a bit.
“I had a hunch…”
“Why, if it isn't Emrys, aren't you meant to be at your girlfriend’s?”
A calm voice sounded, unclear at first; the situation was obvious.
Emrys turned around and saw a man standing by the door with a rough wolf cut; his hair was the signature silver-white of the Valin family, but it had violet strands.d,” Emrys said, uneasy. “It's nice to see you.”
Reed Valin, Kane’s younger brother and the one called the Lance of Divine Fortune, the Diamond-scaled Wvyern.
A Saint-Class warrior and Ascendant, who was known for his victories fighting in his brother’s armada…
With the ability called the onyx of seers, the eye could see futures, but only certain timelines.
He was the first person to tell Emrys that his love and obsession for Diane would bring about the fall of House Valin and the realms.
But he rubbed it off, saying that the eye wasnt always right.
It was now something that added to his torment; he had been warned about the Crofts.
Emrys bowed his head low, a sign of respect for his uncle.
“I am sorry for not taking your warning,” he murmured, his voice heavy with guilt and sorrow.
Reed was looking at Emrys, a smile on his face. “Raise your head, you're the Heir of Valin, and I wouldn't want to punish my nephew…”
Emrys smiled and shook his uncle's hand.

During delivery, the child drained all the blood in its mother's womb and almost didn't come out alive. House Valin almost lost their lady; Kane Valin didn't know what to do. Confused and lost, he searched for answers but got none. But then… In the Hall of Dragons, the statues of two great divine dragons began glowing. The statues of Argrona, Singularity King of the West, and Nefirti, Rift Queen of the Southern Hemisphere. Both of them contested who would have the child; neither won. So they both blessed the child from birth with the ability to control gravity and tear rifts in space and time. Making the child's hair have two colors, white showing Nefirti’s blessing and black showing Argrona’s hand! That child was Sel Valin! “Ao's Roar!” Sel slashed her blade down, sending Hardley crashing back. Hardley was shocked that the girl in front of him wasn'

In the building at the top of the Eastern Side, a man sitting on a throne could be seen with four women close by. They were massaging him, from the hip up. Hardley Wade, the cruel leader of the Hardly Gang, was as ruthless as their name made them look. Monsters who didn't care if someone was part of a noble house or even a Sovereign House; they would do anything in their power to make sure that they would get their hands on the person. He was an enforcer Diane Croft hired and placed in charge of the company she took from Emrys through illicit means. “Lord Hardley, I heard you're the one in charge of all these places now the Crofts aren't doing anything.” “Ahh, he has to be one of the few people allowed to own something like this without the King and his princes trying to butt in. Lord Hardley is truly special!” The women were rubbing themselves on Hardley, trying to get him to speak. Opening his eyes, Hardley had a smile on his face, looking at the ladies around him. “You kno
The Violet Dragon Arrives
Emrys and Kai stood right outside the Valin Manor; Kai was getting ready to depart.“I will be heading back to the house to see if I will be able to awaken my vestige and be ready to help you. I have sent out word for the other heirs to get ready for the upcoming horrors.” Emrys nodded, looking at the young man in front of him, and there was something about the way he stood that caught his eye. “Kai, you need not worry about what is going to happen…” Emrys spoke, his voice clear that he had no fear, and it was going to be one of the oddest things if he were held down by anything else. “Keep your eyes on acquiring the vestige; we have something brewing in the shadows, and I can’t fight it all alone…” Emrys stretched out his hand and looked at Kai. He realized that there was one thing he did in his former life that made it even harder: it took him time to find allies. And when he did find one, he never let Luther get close enough. It was almost like he was pushing him away with ev
Divine Vestiges?
“So you mean that there are demons in the realm already, and we know nothing of it?” Kai was looking at Emrys; they sat at the table, thinking about what would help them with what was going on and how far it would take their heads, deep into the trouble right in front of them. “The chances are there, and we have not been trying to fish them out. So there is a good chance that we are dealing with something that lies deep in the heart of the realm.” Reed spoke, his eyes on the newly drawn map of the realm in front of them, on what it showed and what it meant. “We aren't dealing with something small, unlike what you wish or hope; this is far more sinister, and from what I can feel, it is more precise and straight to the point.” Kai stared at him, nodding, knowing there were far deeper issues to handle, and that the way it had shown itself was more disturbing than anything they had hoped for. “So what you are saying is that there is a good chance we have been dealing with them all t

Thorin House…Since the day House Valin cut ties with Croft by refusing the contract in front of everyone. Kyle Thorin, in front of everyone, was made fun of. He stood right in front of Emrys, and not even a word could come out when Emrys stared him cold in the eyes. Jason Thorin, the head of House Thorin, a man who couldn't take weakness for an answer. Standing by the balcony of his house, eyes down as he watched the people move around. He wasn't part of the high-ranking nobles, stuck in a class of nobles who picked the crumbs left by those at the top, and he managed to develop an uncanny hate for members of House Valin. Then he had the child, Kyle, the one they said would be a prodigy and would wipe away his tears, knowing that he would be strong enough to take down House Valin. If he was given enough resources, he believed the truth fed to him by the Paragons. Kyle was strong, yes, but he wasn't strong enough to kill Emrys Valin, and that day he had seen it himself. There w

The fight with the demon raged on, Emrys controlling his aether and movements, trying to make sure that he wouldn't destroy the buildings or lives close to them. Kai moved efficiently across the battlefield; there was something about the demon that left him void of words. ‘This thing…’ He thought to himself; soon he and Emrys were standing side by side. “The demon is taunting us; it hasn't used a powerful move yet because it believes that there is a chance for it to defeat us.” Emrys said what was on Kai’s mind; there was something rather fascinating about the attacks that made them feel even more threatening. Kai had a smile on his face, looking at the demon, knowing that there wasnt anything that would prepare anyone for the next battle. “Emrys, if we keep facing this demon here, then it would eventually spread out…” He pulled his spear down, staring at the monster right in front of him, and there was something about the way it held it up. The hands cracked, as if it were a
