Doubt

Karen scanned the television. She has been turning off the news show since a few minutes ago. After seventy-nine targets down, something haunted her mind. It wasn't clear what it was, but there was already fog bothering her. To herself she asked, I don't know what this is yet, I think I feel something inside me that is disturbing. Would you be able to help me figure out what it is?

Karen's other self appeared before her and she replied, explaining in more detail what she felt.

Karen pondered, I am happy to be able to complete the mission, that way I will be one step closer to my freedom, but is this the right way? I wonder why I should do it?

Karen's other self laughed, isn't it you who chose this path? You registered as a member of Screen Pleasure. Indeed, you didn't know it would be like this in the past, but didn't you choose to be willing to meet the boss's challenge yourself? Now the question is, are you able to do it thoroughly? What if the Boss betrays your trust? You may already know that a Boss is a person who will not break promises, but who knows the human heart? Even you can self-deception. You satisfy them in bed while giving poison.

"The boss is calling," said the Manager. "Karen!"

Karen gasped. She was lost in thought a moment ago.

"Daydreaming?" asked the Manager, sarcastically.

"Excuse me, what did you say just now?"

"The boss just called. He wants you to come tonight," the Manager said.

"He didn't explain what his will was?" asked Karen.

The Manager shook his head.

"Max... you are indeed..." Karen was at a loss for words. "Shouldn't you make sure what he wants from me so I can prepare?"

"He said he just wanted to talk," said Max, the Manager.

"Talk...? You know that it means that he didn't ask me to talk as a drinking buddy. Indeed, it could happen between me and him. It must be that he wants something from me. Does it have anything to do with D.C Madam? That's what I want to know," Karen said with annoyance as soon as possible.

"You can guess things and prepare the answers," Max said.

"Max..." Karen was frustrated. She tapped the table with her middle finger. She observed Max for a few moments before finally asking, "I wonder if you're on my side or not."

"I'm on the winning side," Max said.

The answer made Karen's head throb. What does he mean on the winning side? Does that mean he is on the Boss's side?

"Now, you'd better take a shower and we go to the Dojo. You have to train," Max said, reminding Karen of the day's schedule of activities.

Karen snorted. She was not satisfied with Max's answer, and of course, she was annoyed that she was speechless again. Karen was eager to win the argument. The problem is, that Karen is at a loss for words for the time being.

I have to learn to master the forum, Karen's determination in the heart. She then stood up irritably leaving Max, the Manager.

Max never smiled in front of people, including Karen, but he could smile on his own. Like this time, unbeknownst to Karen, Max smiled as he cleaned up the teacup, washed it, and put it all in place. After that, he made breakfast for Karen.

Max prepares a high nutritional breakfast. He did that to make sure Karen's body shape remained beautiful and healthy.

Karen's daily activities today are practicing martial arts, and gymnastics for her body flexibility, as well as going to the doctor to check her vital areas. Before seeing the boss, Karen cultivated her body again at Celebrity Fitness.

After Fitness, Karen went to see the Boss with Max, the Manager. All day long, Max was beside Karen and didn't loosen his tie in the slightest.

The boss waited for Karen in a special meeting place. This is neither his private home nor his office. Only the meeting place is in the hills. A place that ordinary people say is a suitable location for vacation or honeymoon. Karen came to the place to negotiate.

The building is industrial design, it looks masculine in Karen's eyes. Every time she came to the place, Karen felt that she had become someone influential all over the world. From the outside, the two-story building looked simple and had nothing to steal. However, everyone in the architectural industry knows and will estimate the price of the building at more than a billion dollars.

Karen stepped her feet wearing sneakers into the house. She appeared to be walking comfortably wearing training pants and a jacket that was zippered to cover her neck. She looked like an athlete.

There was a bodyguard at the front door. He appeared to be assigned to guard there. He just glanced at Karen's arrival with Max.

As a gentleman, Max opened the door for Karen and let Karen walk in first. Max followed Karen. They headed towards the living room. The vestibule is decorated with a large aquarium filled with meat-eating fish. Karen clucked when she saw it.

In the living room, she saw that her boss was already waiting. There was another man there, wearing a black and white suit and sitting in front of the pantry. Karen knew him as the Boss's right-hand man, named William. Whether it's a real name or not, Karen doesn't care.

"Boss," Karen greeted.

A man similar to Tom Hardy in the Legend movie told Karen to sit down with his hands. The man called The boss was standing behind the pantry counter. In his hand was a bottle of alcohol, while on the table there seemed to be some ingredients for making mocktails or cocktails. Max came over and offered to help. Finally, it was Max who was busy behind the pantry counter, making drinks for Bos and Karen.

"I'm happy with your performance. It's been seventy-nine, how about it? You enjoyed it?"

Karen had long felt that Boss just wanted to make Karen a killing weapon.

"Yes, I enjoyed it," Karen said truthfully.

The boss smiled, satisfied with Karen's confession. He would yell at her until Karen said she didn't know and became weak. He could see the Karen he wanted from that answer. Cold-blooded killer.

"Why do you want to see me?" asked Karen, unwilling to linger.

The boss lit a cigarette before answering.

"Target number eighty. You have to prepare for murder for him," Boss said casually after exhaling cigarette smoke from his mouth.

Karen was surprised, "Usually you would send files and explanations through Max. Why did you do it yourself?"

The boss snapped his fingers. "Because the target this time is VIP," he said.

Wiliam approached, brought a tablet, and put it on the table.

"The target this time is him," Bos said, pointing to the surface of the tablet featuring a photo of a head of state.

Karen was wide-eyed. Dragon code target.

"You have to make long preparations. The client wants him to be found dead a few hours before the G-20 conference begins," Bos said.

"You're crazy! How? And he is the head of a developing country. What was killed for?"

The boss grinned. "You don't need to know the details. You know the target this time is coded Dragon. That's why I told you myself how."

Karen and Boss fought with each other.' Karen's heart beat wildly. She has never obtained a Dragon-coded target. It's interesting, challenging, as well as horrifying. The risk is great, this is tantamount to a suicide mission. A country leader who comes to the G-20 forum must be heavily guarded, how to break through that tight guard?

At the same time, Karen got a very clear answer that her organization has a close relationship with the elite. She became part of an organization that held important secrets of the elites.

"Why should he be killed?" asked Karen, her voice trembling as hot blood bubbled in her body.

"Because he brought a peace mission," Boss replied.

Killing a head of state a few hours before the G-20 forum took place was tantamount to sending a stern warning to them. That G-20 member states should stop their vision and mission and should not interfere with the global situation.
