Chapter 6

"It worked," he murmured to himself with relief. "The effect isn’t obvious, but it's effective against the poison." He sighed in relief and focused on attending to his wound.

Initially, Beelze thought about conjuring something to stop the bleeding and gather bandages. However, he hesitated, feeling it would consume too many Spirits. Watching nearby Devilkin locked in battle, he wondered how they handled their injuries.

He observed most of them licking their wounds until they stopped bleeding. Witnessing this beast-like behavior made Beelze feel powerless, knowing excessive blood loss posed dangers even for Devilkin.

His revolver served as a strong deterrent to the nearby Devilkin, ensuring they left him in peace as he quietly tended to his wounds. Gradually, the bleeding from his severely injured left arm began to subside.

On the beach, the cycle of stronger Devilkin preying on weaker ones continued relentlessly. Stronger Devilkin periodically hunted down their prey, consuming the Spirits of their weaker counterparts, leaving no opportunities for others to benefit. Witnessing this, Beelze abandoned any thought of exploiting the situation.

The significance of Spirits to Beelze, who possessed the system, was undeniable. Yet, the presence of Spirit Masters among the Devilkin posed numerous challenges for him. Whenever this crossed his mind, Beelze couldn't help but sigh.

After staunching his bleeding, Beelze accessed the system interface. This time, he extracted bullets for his revolver, materializing them using the Spirit of the six-eyed Devilkin, and loaded them into the modest revolver. Uncertain of what lay ahead, he understood the importance of ensuring his weapon was ready.

However, as soon as he finished loading the magazine, the situation abruptly changed.

The ground suddenly trembled!

The tremor was so intense that even Beelze felt dizzy on his feet.

"What's happening? An earthquake?" he wondered aloud.

The shaking continued for some time before gradually subsiding. As Beelze regained his balance, he noticed the previously frantic little Devilkin had stopped their fighting. They suddenly emitted strange cries in unison, as if awakening from a dream, and began sprinting desperately.

Those without wings ran on all fours, while those with wings took flight, though not high. Despite not knowing the reason, Beelze wasted no time and joined their flight. He didn't know where they were headed or why, but he was certain it wasn't a coincidence for so many Devilkin to act together. Something significant was unfolding.

Luckily, Beelze was used to running, so his injured left arm didn't slow him down much. He silently thanked his luck for not injuring his legs during combat, which would have complicated matters.

Following the little Devilkin across the expansive beach, the intense green haze and heat gradually dissipated. The scenery ahead became clearer.

Their destination turned out to be a black volcano emitting smoke from its summit!

"Is the volcano erupting?" Beelze pondered aloud. "But if it is, why are they not fleeing from it, but rather running toward it?"

Despite his thoughts, the leading little Devilkin charged up the volcano without hesitation. They leaped over gullies of molten lava and crossed peculiar black stones all the way to the summit. Insect-like and bird-like Devilkin with wings soared straight for the crater and dove into the opening.

"Are they really flying into the volcano?" Beelze exclaimed in shock. He glanced back at the throng of little Devilkin behind him and pushed himself to ascend the mountain.

He knew he lacked the instinct and innate knowledge ingrained in Devilkin bones. He had no idea what the others knew, but they must have had their reasons for heading into the volcano. After all, it seemed unlikely for all of them to knowingly seek death. Therefore, following them seemed the logical choice.

Whether he would meet his end in the volcano's flames remained uncertain. For now, he could only shadow the actions of the little Devilkin.

Thankfully, the volcano's altitude was considerable, and the path was clear, ensuring he didn't lose his way. Beelze ascended in a direct line and soon reached the volcano's summit.

For the first time, Beelze peered into the depths of the volcano. Below him lay a straight, deep pit where smoke billowed gradually, casting a fiery glow. At the base, a thin layer of magma solidified into countless irregular cracks, through which fiery red light seeped, resembling a myriad of red lightning bolts. The sight was undeniably breathtaking!

However, beneath the spectacle lay a terrifying truth. It seemed inevitable that the stressed magma cracks would soon succumb to pressure, triggering a volcanic eruption. Unless Beelze found a swift means of escape, he faced the grim prospect of leaving behind more than just his lifeless body.

Surveying the volcano's summit, Beelze realized he stood on an island surrounded by a blood-red ocean. Given the previous extent of the eruption reaching all the way to the beach, the area affected by the volcanic activity was vast. The entire island lay within its reach, leaving him no choice but to consider the ocean as his only potential route of escape.

And who knew what perilous creatures lurked in the bizarre blood-red waters?

It became clear why the little Devilkin had rushed to the volcano before it erupted. They had nowhere else to seek refuge...

Observing how the other Devilkin skillfully descended the inner walls of the volcano, Beelze emulated their technique, using the sharp claws of his limbs for support. However, with his injured left arm, he could only grip cautiously while relying on his right arm and legs to navigate the treacherous descent.

He moved meticulously, aware of the many Devilkin losing their footing and plummeting to their demise on the fragile magma rocks below.

The next bid for the 1907 Heidsieck is currently at $707,000. Do I hear any other bids?” The room fell silent, a brief pause hanging in the air as if everyone was waiting for someone else to make the next move. “Really, no more bids?” The auctioneer raised his gavel, smiling at the impending sale. Beelze glanced around, his eyes shifting from Lisa to the wealthy patrons seated around the auction house. He leaned slightly toward Lisa, a sly smile forming. “My luck has been... interesting lately,” he said casually. “But I suppose there’s no harm in selling it to you.” Lisa’s face lit up, her expression almost childlike in its delight. “Really? You’ll sell it to me?” As she spoke, Beelze’s system messages flared up. [The strength of the other party's artifact is increa

Chapter 37: Right Hand 2 Beelze's expression darkened into a frown, a clear indication of his growing concern. It seemed that Depay had every intention of participating in the upcoming auction, despite the looming issues surrounding the company. The motive behind Depay's decision to stay was becoming increasingly apparent to Beelze – it had to be the artifacts. The realization struck Beelze like a bolt of lightning. Those cunning individuals must have been aware of the valuable artifacts up for auction. In Beelze's mind, the situation began to unravel further. It was evident that monopolizing the artifacts during the initial stages was crucial for these individuals. The thought of potentially clashing with Depay over the artifacts sent a shiver down Beelze's spine. He couldn't help but worry, knowing full well the financial might his opponent wielded. While Beelze had amassed a considerable sum through his ventures in the casinos, it paled in comparison to the vast resources at th

Everybody else was suffering drastically from being around the Ruler of Destitution’s area of influence. That was why Beelze quickly looked toward Depay. He was curious if Depay would also be impacted by the Ruler of Destitution. The Depay of old would immediately try to leave this place or defend somehow, however... ‘There’s no way he knows about the Ruler of Destitution yet.’ And lo and behold. “W,what is going on?! Chapter 35: Right Hand. Biho had once been Depay’s right-hand man, a position of prestige and authority—until Beelze joined the company. Beelze’s meteoric rise to captain of the Crypt raiding team had left Biho in the shadows, constantly compared and inevitably outshone. His frustration had grown into animosity, a simmering hatred that only deepened with every failed attempt to surpass Beelze. Now, years later, that familiar contempt was written all over Biho’s face as he noticed Beelze staring at him. “What’s your problem?” Biho sneered. “Move it, unless you want to block the way all night.” Beelze smirked, recognizing the same petty arrogance from the past. He could already tell what had fueled Biho’s disdain this time—the number on the ticket Beelze held in his hand. Bronze. The auction house operated with a strict hierarchy, separating participants into tiers. Bronze tickets were for the common crowd—average bidders who wouldn’t make waves. Gold tickets, like
