Chapter 492: More Than One Way

“Is that a wounded person?”

“Yes.”

“Bring them here.”

“Alright.”

Matilda didn’t know who was asking, but it was the man that carried her who gave the answer. She knew they were already out of the city. The massive gate they passed though was broken and she saw the shattered pieces on the ground.

Her legs didn’t stop hurting, but this wasn’t the first time she had suffered from broken bones. Within a short span of one year, she learned a lot about pain and death.

‘They are bringing slaves here?’

They walked through people who were sitting here and there. Most of them had reggae clothes like theirs, but she saw some people that looked like commoners of the city. Some of them looked at her with disgust, and she didn’t mind it at all. Because she was used to those disdainful gazes.

“Bring wounded to this side.”
