Beep, beep, beep!

“Mana activity level is beginning to rise again. The subject is attempting something,” a researcher quickly warned.

In the testing room, picking himself off the ground once again, Cale floated into the air, still lying in a prone position that left him parallel to the ground. With a single thought, Cale righted himself until he was now facing the wall. Following that, he began to rotate in the air and perform various aerial feats like doing a flip in the air and moving his limbs around as he would when on the ground.

Cale was practicing, trying to get used to this new ability of his, and Candor and the others just watched him. This time, nobody interrupted him and just let him be to discuss how he was flying.

“The subject remains uncooperative. What do we do now? We have no way of explaining how he is able to do what he is doing. From the looks of things, this test is a failure.”

It was the blonde researcher who spoke, and the words he uttered were what everyone else

Huh!“Am I dreaming?”Cale’s consciousness drifted hazily in a lingering void, switching between permanence and impermanence, unable to determine what was real and what was not.His mind, like the lingering fragments of fractured memories, spun chaotically in a swirl of unmitigated chaos, causing torment and anguish to his already tortured soul.Sometimes, there were moments of clarity that only lasted for brief periods at a time, but in those times, Cale could understand everything that was happening to him and the truth of this world that lingered just beyond the veil. This world was fake! This was the truth of the world, and upon that realization, the veil was broken, and Cale successfully awakened from the quagmire.“No, this is not a dream,” Cale said to himself; his senses, clearer than ever, told him so. At this moment, his body was within the space of his other world, but Cale’s mind had ascended beyond the physical boundaries of this world, allowing him to see everything in i

  • Governor Of The Fortress 1

The newcomer who intruded upon the secret meeting of the three administrators was revealed to be the Governor of the fortress himself. As the head of the fortress, the Governor was a mysterious man who rarely showed himself and was barely known by the residents of the fortress, many of whom were not even aware that there was a Governor in the first place. To most, the three administrators were the highest authority figures in the entire fortress, with none standing above them. But for those who knew, even they didn't truly understand what it was exactly the Governor did in the fortress, and why such a person even existed in the first place. Some speculated that the Governor was simply a person who occupied a regulatory position in the fortress that was meant to oversee its smooth running on behalf of a larger organization—kind of like a regent of sorts. This speculation played on the idea that every Cerulean fortress in the realm was part of a single coalition government and that

  • Governor Of the Fortress

An emergency meeting was called in the highest level of the Coccyx. Three individuals were meeting in the dead of night regarding a matter they had no idea would escalate to an atrocious extent.“What the hell is the problem this time? Why is there a large-scale spatial rift rapidly expanding right in the middle of the fortress?” Magistrate Yelena started out with a stern outburst, her face squeezed up like a sour grape, her displeasure evident for all to see. In contrast, Provost Yumi was much calmer, albeit secretly annoyed by the current event. She said, “In a few words, ‘Hive screwed up once again’.”Then she added, “It seems they’ve been indulged long enough, and now they think they can do whatever they like without consequence.”“Imbeciles!” Hearing this, Magistrate Yelena lost her temper, a curse rolling off her tongue in a manner that rarely occurred to her.Seething, she said through tightly gnashed teeth: “This has gone on for long enough. It’s high time we taught those wast

  • Breaking The Veil 1

In an oasis island located far out in the sea, surrounded by a perpetual hurricane storm that blew tempestuously, the figure of a lone individual could be seen sitting on the beach, overlooking the horizon that was blocked by the mile-high water wall raised by the furious storm. Waves crashed powerfully on the diamond shores, sending sprays of ocean showers pelleting like bullets into the surroundings, perforating everything that stood in their path, grinding them into fine mists of powder that settled on the beach, leaving a clear beachfront as far as the eye could see. Yet, the individual amidst all this remained sitting unshakably on the diamond sand, unaffected by the dangers around him. His body, sitting at an impressive height of three meters, took the barrage like it was nothing—just a whiff of ocean breeze blowing coolly against his scaly skin. With bulging, well-defined muscles and thick organic, shell-like structures playing his body like armor, as well as other beas

  • Breaking The Veil

In a mountainous region...Standing atop the highest peak was a man; not an ordinary man, no! Far from it, he was a man whose mere presence seemed to resonate with the world around him, commanding everything to be drawn toward him in a powerful display of attractive force, like a black hole causing lights and shadows to distort around him in a swirl of incomprehensible forms.Being atop that highest peak was like a declaration of his standing, showing there was no one else above him. His eyes overlooked everything, with seemingly nothing able to overcome his observation, and in that moment, his gaze pierced through several heavy layers of clouds at a certain location hundreds of thousands of kilometers away, witnessing a certain moment in which a series of events were taking place.Silently, noncommittally, he watched, a mere spectator to the unfolding events. Just then, at an unknown point in time, another figure was suddenly behind him. It was a woman, exquisite in her appearance an

Having suffered enough ambushes leading to several casualties on their side, Trevor and his people weren’t about to let their guard down very easily again. The forest was still and almost without sound, as if all life had suddenly ceased to exist, leaving only a faint creaking sound of ice expanding and cracking coming from the frozen exotic beast husk, which sounded exceptionally loud in the quiet night. Creak! An eerie feeling gripped Trevor’s heart, a sense of helplessness overcoming him, making him begin to consider retreating immediately. Since the start, nothing had gone as planned with this operation. Whether it was the boss of the fight club reneging on their deal—whil
