Chapter 9.

Mason Greenwood was in the study in his house when his main man had come to him information, he was really furious that he didn’t think the plan through before getting on with it and Philip Black had said that the assassin didn’t intend to pull the trigger and also two out of the assassin had died and it was just three people who were unfortunate to be injured.

Mason Greenwood felt like he had broken the rules of his hotel himself and that made him to hate the Ashland family the more.

He slammed his fist on the table, sending papers flying. Karim stood at the corner of the room, the tablet behind his clasped hands, he was wearing a black turtleneck that still didn’t covered his upper neck tattoos and palms.

Literally, his body was covered in tattoos and he was as brutal as his boss.

“What did you find?” Mason asked.

Karim stepped forward, “Blaze Ashland location and Black’s family…” he twitched his nose, “We are not the only watching.”

“Were you able to track them?”

“Whoever found them before us knew our moves. I suggest we lay down for a while. With their plans we will get Philip Black.” Karim explained and Mason nodded.

“What about Blaze Ashland? Let’s find him.”

Karim smiled sinisterly, “He was at Club De Luna, his entrance was quite grand so I followed him and I was able to track him to the airport. It was as easy as threatening to gun him down if he create a scene.”

“That’s my boy!” Mason said with pride.

“Are we letting him go anytime soon?” Karim asked.

“Yes. If he tells me who is heading the company.”

Mason Greenwood and Karim left the study to where Blaze was being held down, by the time they got there, Blaze was bleeding from the corner of his mouth.

Mason yelled, “which one of you hit him?”

Blaze pointed to the guard and Karim punched his face.

“Does he know who I am?” Blaze ranted, as he wiped off the blood.

“Do you know who I am?” Mason asked.

Blaze felt scared, today, of all days, nemesis decided to catch up with him, he swallowed hard.

Smiling nervously, “Let bygones be bygones.”

“I agree.” Mason said, chuckling. He patted Blaze’s shoulder and arranged his suit.

“Italian?” Mason asked, holding the collar of the suit jacket.

“Yes.” Blaze answered, sweats breaking out on his forehead.

“Quite expensive.” Mason clicked his tongue and sat on the chair facing Blaze. He opened the small drawer beside him and brought a gun, he dismantled it and arranged it back, not forgetting to put bullet in the gun.

Blaze tried to hide his fears but failed, he was covered in sweat.

“You know, it’s not up to a week ago,  the most important rules in my hotel got broken and that happened because I thought it was you. No long talk. I just want to know who’s heading the company and refused to give out the name.”

“Why should I tell you who?” Blaze asked and Karim stabbed him with a knife in his thigh. Blaze screamed.

“Take it easy Karim. Now take care of that. We don’t mistreat our guest.” Mason said.

While Karim went to get a gauze, he picked up a bottle of wine on the shelf. He wrapped the gauze around the wound, Blaze thought he was wrapping the wound but the next action caught him off guard, Karim poured the wine on the wound and the stinging caused Blaze to scream in pain.

“Let me ask again, who’s heading the company, I know William won’t be stupid enough to give the company to you.”

“I swear, I don’t know. I have barely been around.”

“Your brother?”

“He’s poor now. He doesn’t have access to anything that concerns Ashland since he refuse to head the company.” Blaze cried.

“Then it must be the manager, the head manager.” Mason said, rubbing his chin.

Blaze nodded., tears streaming down his face, “I barely know what is going on in my family affairs, as you can see, I had a flight to catch.”

“Blaze, I believe you. I could kill you right now but it’s not yet time for the war to begin.” Mason sneered and Blaze looked away.

“You don’t want war, don’t kill me.” Blaze begged.

“You’d send a message to your father to watch his back and I’ll strike when he least expected.”  With that being said, Karim knocked Blaze out with the butt of his gun.

Brooklyn rushed down to the hospital as soon as his father alerted him that a Good Samaritan was passing by and he saw Blaze being lying at the side of the road and brought him to the hospital.

While they were in the waiting area hoping that the doctor would come out soon to tell them what happened to Blaze.

“He’s awake.” The nurse announced and the Ashland family followed her into the room.

The moment Blaze saw his parents and brother, he bursted into tears, their mother hugged him tight and by the time he calmed down he explained to them what Mason Greenwood did.

“You got what you deserved. You should be thankful he spared your life.” William said.

“William?” His wife, Patricia Ashland began, “Don’t say that, he’s your son.”

“I didn’t dispute the fact that his fucking worthless ass is not my son. But that’s what happened to people who cheat people, he cost me a lot stealing from that man.”

“Dad, let it go.” Brooklyn sighed.

“How do you feel baby?” Patricia asked, rubbing his hand.

“I felt like I died.” That’s when it struck Blaze. His eyes widened as if he had seen a ghost. “dad, you should check up on your nephew, your manager. Mason thinks he’s the one heading the company, he doesn’t believe what the headline of the news says.”

“What?” Brooklyn exclaimed as he unlocked his phone and dialed his cousin’s number but he wasn’t picking up.

“If Mason gets to him first, that’s the end.” William said, trying not to panic.

“How will he find him so fast?” Patricia asked.

“Mom, its simple because someone like Mason has a private investigator.” Brooklyn answered.

Williams also dialed his manager’s number, he had sworn to his younger brother that he would protect his son no matter what and when Brooklyn called his cousin’s wife, she said she went to pick up the kids at their sleepover and while they were still talking on the phone;

A loud explosion was heard. Even Brooklyn could feel it through the phone. The line went dead.
