The next day, Josias is eating breakfast with a worried countenance, even munching on the most delicious homemade bread he's ever eaten with butter and cinnamon.

Alan notices his father scowling, “You can tell me. I’ll hear you, Dad.”

“Yesterday I had a problem, and today I'll have to deal with another one.” Josias replies, “Do you believe I was charged to Sergeant Oliveira?”

Alan grimaces, “Urgh! What was it this time? Adrian Barbosa got out of jail and pestered you again?”

Josias has a startle. He had long since forgotten the existence of his worst enemy! “Adrian, if he got out of jail, he must have gone to live with his father in Victoria. He wouldn't be here alone to face me.”

“Would Seu Moacyr accept him back even after the attempted murder?”
