CHAPTER 43

The smoking wreckage of the car Chris had been in went up in flames. Richard silently watched, masking his fear as he forced smiles on his face. He knew what he was getting himself into if he involved himself with the Boltons, but his greedy drive for success blinded him.

"Richard."

Richard gnawed his nails as the fire service put out the fire. The police siren was loud at eleven in the afternoon, with the press appearing on site to cover the story.

"Richard!"

"Hunh?" He turned around and Chris passed him a towel.

"Let's get inside, the press is here. Rose says it's for our safety," Chris walked away. He pulled Richard by the arm as they walked inside the building.

"Scared now? Good for you, now you know the kind of shit you have gotten yourself into," Chris hissed.

"Well I'm not the main target, it's you they want to kill," Richard tried to act tough.

Chris pulled Richard aside, in the hallway just before the elevator in the building.
