The outskirt was in chaos with attacks and spells flying all around.
"Shit!" Alator cursed as he was sent flying from the impact of the attack. Even though the formation was able to stop the breath attack from the beast, the impact that reverberated inside the formation alone was capable of killing a Dormant like him. Alator crashed on the ground with blood spilling out of his mouth. The close-combat Mages were already overwhelmed by the beasts as they slashed their swords, slaughtering the low-level vicious beasts mercilessly while being pushed into a corner. One hacked his sword down on an Iron Horn Rhino, but the beast ducked to the side and rammed its horn into him, sending him flying with a deep hole in his stomach. This Iron Horn Rhino was a 1-Star Savage Beast after all, hence needing more than one Advanced Tier Mage to subdue it. Despite its poor eyesight, this beast has excellent hearing, a keen sense of smell, and tough skin, that made it even more dangerous and defensive on the battlefield. A Redshadow Fox jumped out of the horde and opened its mouth; Mana churned around its jaw. "Whoosh!" It shot out a breath attack towards the bulky man dashing forward without a weapon. Immediately, he saw the breath attack approaching with terrifying speed; he pulled his brakes and quickly formed a Mana Barrier around himself. "Shatter!" The breath attack struck and shattered his Mana Barrier, and he was sent flying from the impact. But before crashing on the ground, he suddenly flipped his body in mid-air and landed on his feet. Then, he slowly raised his head and smirked. A Two-Star Vicious Iron Mantis suddenly attacked from behind, slashing its raptorial limb towards his legs. But the bulky man was quick to react. He jumped high in the air, avoiding the razor-sharp limbs of the Mantis. He raised his right leg. Using the momentum of his landing, the bulky man slammed his foot right on the head of the Iron Mantis below him, smashing its head into pieces. Without wasting time, he dashed towards the Redshadow Fox. The fox glowered at the annoying human who was looking down on him. Then, it opened its mouth and shot out another devastating breath attack towards the man. "Not this time!" The bulky man muttered and slammed his two hands on the ground. "Bang!" An earth wall suddenly rose from the ground and stood in front of him, acting as a shield. The breath attack struck the earth wall and it shook violently. Cracks spread across its surface, and not long, it began to collapse. The man suddenly shot out of the collapsing earth wall, with Mana exploding from his body, taking the beast unaware. He balled his hand into a fist in mid-air, and it suddenly hardened like a rock. Before the Redshadow Fox could react, the guy slammed his rock-hard fist on its forehead, splitting it apart. Blood splashed out like a river, forming a small pond on the ground. The beast lost consciousness and slumped to the ground without even making a sound. This bulky man was just a few steps from reaching the late stage of the Advanced tier. Even though he was an Earth Mage who can manipulate the ground and soil, despite his size, he still had incredible agility, just like a Wind Mage. Meanwhile, Alator was totally lost in the chaos. This wasn't the kind of thug and bandit fight he was used to. This had gone far beyond his imagination. Now that the formation was finally taken down, Alator was looking for an escape route. He knew he couldn't possibly stay here, or else he would surely become a dead person. Alator never knew that such beasts actually existed in this world. In fact, there are a lot of things Alator knew nothing about. But the appearance of the demonic beast had given him the shock of his life, and it wasn't entirely his fault. He was just like every other commoner who know nothing about this incoming threat. The authorities had kept the matter secret from the people to avoid panic in the Wastelands. Hence, no one knew about it. For years now, the Noble Houses had been resisting the beasts at the borders. If the people knew that demonic beasts have the ability to wield Mana like Mages as well, panic would have surely erupted in the domains. The Noble Houses call them demonic beasts due to their evil and violent nature, and their only aim is to destroy and dominate. Right now, Alator was no longer interested in the money or reward he might get after this. He only wanted to escape with his life. "Fall back! Long Rangers, prepare to strike!" Noticing he was beginning to have a lot of casualties, the Regent finally initiated the second plan. The close-combat Mages began to retreat at full speed. The formation was already down, and the Long Rangers were finally done casting their spells. As they stepped forward, one waved his hand and several balls of flame shot out, heading straight toward the beasts. "Bang!...Bang!...Bang!" The balls of flame exploded in the midst of the beasts, setting the whole place ablaze, including the beasts. "Awoooo!" The beasts let out a miserable cry from the burning sensation of the flames. Another man stepped forward and spread his arms sideways. Suddenly, dozens of ice spikes appeared behind him. He waved his hand forward. The ice spikes reacted to his command and shot out. "Shank!" The ice spikes pierced several beasts, freezing them to death. Several more attacks were launched, pushing the beasts back. The weight on their shoulders finally reduced a bit as the beasts became a bit docile. And now, the Scripers were gaining the upper hand in the battle. "ROAR!!!!!" Another terrifying roar rang out in the distance. This time, the beasts which seemed exhausted and weak suddenly charged forward. Their eyes turned red as they entered into a berserk state.Latest Chapter
Chapter 59: The Soul Bender
The next day, early in the morning, the arena was filled to the brim with people buzzing like bees. The atmosphere was cloudy, with dark clouds roaming in the sky. It seemed like a great storm was about to come.In the arena, Lord Valerius was sitting in his usual position, with his woman sitting beside him. But oddly, his face wasn't looking good despite the company of the lady. His expression kept twitching from time to time. He looked like someone who had been fed some shit. His body suddenly trembled slightly as a shiver ran down his spine. He could still hear the thunderous voice of the Mountain King raging in his ears."What am I hearing? That some kids want to turn the island into chaos and you are still playing around? Before dawn, give me their heads or I will take yours!""Ahh..." Valerius suddenly exclaimed as he got back to his senses."Phew."He took a deep breath as he wiped off the sweat forming on his forehead."What's wrong?" the woman sitting beside him asked with a
Chapter 58: You Fight Or You Dei
"Why do I keep getting into trouble because of this bastard, and I'm sure he must have caused a serious commotion out there that got him injured like that," Logan thought to himself. As the soldier was walking towards Logan, his colleague that was outside quietly walked in as well. "What are you doing? Let's go. I don't like this place," he said with disgusting look on his face. But his colleague didn't say anything and kept walking towards Logan. Nelix glanced at Logan. He too was feeling the tension building up in the room. Then he suddenly took a step forward, but Logan secretly signaled him not to make a move. Attacking the soldiers now would do more harm than good, and they may likely die sooner than they expected. "Hey buddy, your friend said he doesn't like this place. Honestly, this place isn't good for an honorable soldier like you" Logan tried to persuade the soldier again. But the man was adamant, his eyes were fixed on Alator as he kept approaching. "Why is this log

"Here is what I found. I think something is off with this bag," the soldier said. The man glared at him, took the bag from him, and loosened the rope. He opened the bag and pulled it down, revealing a human head. Everyone gasped in shock, and the people broke out into whispers."Thi...this is the head of the commander!" the man blurted out in shock, with his eyeballs almost popping out of their sockets. "You killed him!" The man drew out his sword and pointed it at Kenzo. He really wanted to slice off his head right now, but he knew he would have to answer to Valerius; hence, he controlled himself.Kenzo stood there with a confused look on his face. He couldn’t understand why trouble was always coming for him, even after he had tried his best to avoid it."Just who the hell did..." Kenzo paused and suddenly chuckled darkly."Alator," he muttered. "Now it all made sense."A wide smile appeared on his face. With that, the soldiers bundled Kenzo and dragged him out of the room.Kenzo loo
Chapter 56: Framing
Alator got up immediately and made a mad dash towards his left, heading straight to the mine, with drops of blood trailing behind him..........In the mine, at the sleeping quarters, some slaves were already asleep while some were still awake, just like Kenzo, who was sitting and staring at the moon in the sky through the space between the iron bars blocking a hole beside his sleeping position.Someone’s face suddenly appeared at the hole from the outside, blocking his view.Kenzo’s expression turned grim as he narrowed his gaze at the person. Within a few seconds, his brows suddenly shot up in realization as he recognized the person to be Alator.Alator smirked and tossed a piece of paper at him, then quickly left the place immediately.Kenzo stared at the folded little paper in his hand for a while. He opened it and his brows tightened as he stared at the five words written on the paper: "meet me at the mine."Initially, Kenzo didn’t want to go. However, he was really curious about
Chapter 55: Payback
Alator's gaze scanned the faces around, and they finally landed on Ruk, who had just stepped out of one of the tents."It seems the mission was successful," Alator smiled and quietly walked out of his hiding place."I was worried about you guys, and here you people are already organizing a feast."A voice rang out in the camp, and everyone became alert. They immediately drew their swords as their eyes began to pierce through each and every corner of the place.Right then, Alator appeared in the mist like a ghost. A sword suddenly pierced straight toward his face.Seeing the incoming blade, Alator smirked and ducked to the side. The blade passed across his face. He balled his hand into a fist and punched the wrist of the man holding the sword."Bang!"The sword fell from the soldier’s hand. Seeing that he was disarmed, and realizing that the enemy is much stronger than him, the man quickly backed away. Of course, he never intended to hurt the man, if not he wouldn't have let him off ea

"You dared try to kill me."He suddenly slammed Alator onto a nearby chair."Crash!"The chair shattered into pieces, and Alator felt his body arch in agony. But before he could get up from the shambles, the Commander pounced on him and punched his face."Bang!"Alator felt his jaw shake, almost like it had been dislocated, and blood rushed out from the side of his mouth. The Commander was indeed looking down on Alator; to him, he could kill him with his bare hands without even breaking a sweat."Bang!"Another devastating punch came right at the corner of his eyes. It tore his skin, leaving a bloody wound on his face.Alator almost blacked out from that hit, as his vision momentarily turned white."Shit!" Alator cursed internally. "I thought they already fed them with the Black Dreew," Alator thought as he continued to struggle on the floor under the Commander's grip. But in truth, Alator didn't know that not all the soldiers ate from the food. If he knew that, especially that the Co
