Barsak state, is one of the unique traits of the demonic beastes. It's a state in which the beast loses its sanity and becomes extremely violent and dangerous. This anomaly can only occur when a beast finds itself in serious danger or if it comes as a command from the horde commander, which is the strongest beast among them. And that is what actually happened a moment ago.

Currently, Alator was trembling while holding a sword with his two hands. He was sweating profusely, and his eyes darted all around, looking for an escape route. Finally, Alator braced himself, took a deep breath, and suddenly dashed toward the east with all his might. He didn't even know where he was running to, and honestly, he didn't care. The only thing in his mind right now was just to survive.

Alator suddenly felt a sense of danger and snapped his head toward his right. He saw a breath attack rushing toward him at full speed from a Bloodscale Serpent, a 3-Star Vicious Beast.

Seeing the incoming attack, Alator abruptly stopped in his tracks and threw himself to the side, barely avoiding the attack by a hair's breadth. Still, the scorching energy that accompanied the attack blasted across his chest and disintegrating half of his clothes.

"Shit!"

Alator cursed at the burning sensation searing across his chest.

It was a Bloodscale Serpent after all, so it wasn't a surprise that the attack contained poison as well.

Alator was lucky enough to have avoided that attack, or else he would have been vaporized entirely. It was true that Alator was good at martial arts. But in front of a Mage or a demonic beast, his skills were practically useless.

Alator turned his head to the left and saw a Steel-Tusk Boar walking toward him with cautious steps. Alator quickly rolled up from the ground, picking up his sword and going into an awkward battle stance as his eyes darted left and right. He was feeling overwhelmed by the two beasts approaching on either side. He knew he couldn't even handle one, and now there were two.

"Damnit!... Am I really going to die here?"

"Flare!"

Flame suddenly rushed out of nowhere and circled around Alator, making the beasts back away from the scorching heat.

"Whoosh!"

A man shot down from the sky and landed right beside him with a broadsword hanging on his back. He just smiled at Alator and shook his head. Alator stared at the man with his brows knitting together. Then his eyes suddenly went wide. He was surprised when he recognized who the person was.

Alator stared at the man. This was the same man that was asking him questions in the armored vehicle earlier.

"Why did you come here?" the man asked.

Alator was confused by the unexpected question.

"What do you mean?" Alator couldn't help but ask.

The man chuckled and shook his head. "You are clearly a Dormant, still you choose to come here. Do you really want to die so badly?"

The realization finally struck Alator as he thought to himself, "So he already knew."

"I don't know what gave you the courage to follow us to this place, but I think you need to leave immediately, unless you are planning to die here," the man said and turned to face the Bloodscale Serpent.

"I will hold them, you leave," the man said. Alator narrowed his eyes as he saw the man walked through the fire without being burnt. Of course, this was his fire after all, hence it couldn't harm him. This man was a Late Stage Advanced Tier Mage, just a few steps away from breaking through into Master Tier.

Seeing the man walk out of the fire, the Bloodscale Serpent lunged at him, baring its fangs and aiming to bite off his head.

The man smirked and balled his two hands into a fist and dashed towards the beast

"Flare!"

Flame suddenly erupted on his fists as he bolted towards the beast.

.......

The Regent saw that his men had been overpowered by the beasts after entering into a berserk state, causing a lot of casualties on his side. Then, he finally made a move. With the sword in his hand, he kicked off the ground and shot forward.

With a single sweep of his sword, he easily cut through the flesh of a few Three-star Vicious Beasts. His movements were fast, his cuts were clean, and his steps were swift and agile.

A Two-star Savage Beast dived towards him with its razor-sharp claws aiming for his head. But he didn't stop. Instead, he quickly slid down through the ground with one knee, avoiding the beast as it flew over him. Mana burst apart from his body as he made a deadly diagonal slash with his sword, accompanied by traces of water and splitting the beast apart.

"Swish!"

Blood rained down on him as the half bodies of the beast fell on his either side. Once he got up on his feet. Another beast lunged towards him with its jaws split wide and baring its fangs like jagged, curved blades thirsty for blood. Regent Arlen quickly brought his sword forward.

"Clang!"

The beast's fangs clashed against the steel blade of the sword. The beast tightly clamped its teeth on the blade refusing to let go.

Instead of dragging the sword with the beast, he quickly let go of the sword and suddenly punched the ground.

"Bang!"

Water blasted out from the ground, shooting the beast into the air with blood flying all around. Now, with his sword gone, he made a strange hand movements, casting his Soul Spell, as he spoke.

[ Intent Conception. Mounting Ape! ]

Immediately those words left his mouth, water suddenly burst apart from his body, and formed a giant figure like an ape behind his back.

"Roar!"

The figure roared as it beat its chest. Immediately Regent Arlen stepped forward. The ape mirrored his action and jumped into the battlefield.

"Why do I keep getting into trouble because of this bastard, and I'm sure he must have caused a serious commotion out there that got him injured like that," Logan thought to himself. As the soldier was walking towards Logan, his colleague that was outside quietly walked in as well. "What are you doing? Let's go. I don't like this place," he said with disgusting look on his face. But his colleague didn't say anything and kept walking towards Logan. Nelix glanced at Logan. He too was feeling the tension building up in the room. Then he suddenly took a step forward, but Logan secretly signaled him not to make a move. Attacking the soldiers now would do more harm than good, and they may likely die sooner than they expected. "Hey buddy, your friend said he doesn't like this place. Honestly, this place isn't good for an honorable soldier like you" Logan tried to persuade the soldier again. But the man was adamant, his eyes were fixed on Alator as he kept approaching. "Why is this log
