Time skip: Lunch Time
It was lunchtime and Jason was headed to the cafeteria. He had finally calmed down from the events of the morning and just wanted this day to be over with.
“Jason”, someone yelled from behind him.
“George, haven’t seen you all day”
“Yeah just got in”
“Lucky you’re rich and not a welfare student like some of us otherwise you’d be in for a talk down”. Jason grumbled
“Yikes, what’s with the mood”. George asked
“Nothing just got a run-in with Mrs. Amelia and Alex being a jerk, you know what don’t wanna talk about it”. Jason said as he grabbed his food and started to walk towards their usual table only to freeze in his tracks as he saw Alex with a couple of his friends sitting together with Jessica at their table chatting.
“Woah, since when was the ‘King’ of the school friends with Jessica?” George whispered to Jason
“ Don’t know but I guess he must really like her since he’s been giving me threats since the morning, telling me to stay away from her”. Jason replied
“Seriously, I thought he only dated cheerleaders, and to think Jessica would be friends with him after knowing what he does to you.”
“Well, I guess his taste changed and as for Jessica I think she also got blinded by the façade even though she knows his true character who knows,” Jason said a little annoyed as Jessica who was laughing with Alex.
“So what are you gonna do,” George said looking at his friend with sad eyes since he knew that his friend liked Jessica and how much he hated Alex and by that anyone in association with him.
“Ignore them and find somewhere else to sit, it’s not like I control who she befriends,” Jason said with a sigh
“Well, got to go,” George said as his phone started beeping, “duty calls I’ll see you later”. George said feeling a little guilty as he turned and left
Jason turned around and went to find a new table or at least he tried to until he heard Jessica call his name, he thought about just walking off but still turned around to look at her.
“Jason, join us”.
“No, it’s okay wouldn’t want to intrude”, Jason said looking at Alex and then back to Jessica, “ plus I don’t really mix with this type of crowd,” said Jason coldly turning to walk away
“Yeah run along welfare who’d want to sit with a welfare like you”, said one of the guys sitting on the table as they all snickered at what he said
“John!” …. exclaimed Jessica at the fellow who said that
“What, I just said what everyone was thinking”, John replied
Jason felt that same anger he’d felt before starting to building up in him he placed his tray down and walked up to the guy before saying, “I dare you to say that again” Jason said while glaring at the guy as his green eyes started glowing a bit. The guy seeing this felt a bit of fear and almost thought of apologizing but he heard Alex speak.
“Now, now let’s all calm down, we’re all friends here”, Alex said with a smile that made me want to puke
“Sorry friend, I’ll rather die than be friends with you”
“Jason, Alex is just being nice so why don’t you let the misunderstanding between you guys go and try to get along with him”.
Listening to what Jessica said, Jason felt something snap inside him and lost his temper and yelled at her saying, “Hump, try to get along with him, for so many years now this prick has made my life in this school a living hell, he and his friends bullied me every single day in this school and you know that, thanks to he and his friends there is not a single day in this school that I’m not reminded that I’m just a charity case this fucking school took pity on and that no matter how much I try I’ll never be as good as them and you call that a misunderstanding, how about the time he and his goons beat me up so bad I was hospitalized for a week was that also a misunderstanding or when they threw me in front of a fucking car was that also a misunderstanding”.
Jessica looked down guiltily as Jason raged on, she visibly paled as Jason went on hammering all the points in, she knew she’d really fucked up things between her and Jason now, but that was when Jason delivered another devastating blow.
“You know maybe I misjudged you, thinking of you as a friend because if you really were you’d at least consider my feelings and you wouldn’t have said what you said as if everything that happened was just a joke and to be brushed aside just like that and to think I thought I was in-love with you all you rich pricks are all the same”. Jason said looking at Jessica
Jason was too angry to care about anything he said in front of everyone in the cafeteria she felt all the frustration he felt come out just like that and with that he turned around to leave, leaving everyone stunned but then he felt someone grab him on the shoulder and turned only to meet the fist of Alex and then nighty night.

Chapter 12
Jason had been watching the stables for over an hour. He was crouched out of sight in the second story of a partially collapsed building across the street from the stable. Onyx the crow, yes he had named the crow as it seemed to not want to leave him alone, had spent the last hour chasing critters nearby and was currently resting on his shoulder. He had picked out Miriam almost immediately as a portly middle-aged woman who carried a riding crop in one hand and a handkerchief in the other, marching around and giving others to the workers as they worked around the stable. Jason upon returning from Morgana’s place had visited Rex and Sly to seek information on his target. Sly being the rogue informant he was quickly delivered. “Miriam is the stable master’s wife. She works at the stables during the day.” Sly stated. “The stable master puts his wife to work in the stables?”, Jason questioned. “She doesn’t exactly work. She acts as her husband’s assistant and mages the stable hands. I
Chapter 11
The woman stood facing Jason. Her face was a mask of darkness as black energy curled around her arms and body with ominous red eyes. Jason felt chills looking at her. “Who are you”, she questioned as Jason stood there unable to speak due to the sheer overwhelming aura of power she emanated. “You better speak quickly young man. Who are you, and why are you here?” The woman motioned towards the pile of body parts as she spoke again “You don’t seem like you are with these two, otherwise you would already be dead” Jason with a bit of difficulty spoke “Rex sent me. He said to find Morgana at the cemetery for the test: “You must be him then, the chosen one although I don’t see much at the moment”, Morgana said examining Jason carefully not bothering to hide her disappointment “At least you’re not squeamish about killing and you have good spirit and ambition,” she says noticing his eyes “You’ll need it” Jason watched the woman carefully as her aura dissipated and the lingering energy
Chapter 10
A few months later In the underground hideout of Sly’s tavern, two figures were engaged in a deadly dance. They rushed at each other ferociously as their daggers clashed against each other, Sly maneuvered around Jason with grace and flexibility as Jason moved nimbly dodging the attacks as they came. Sly went in for a kick to the head which Jason flipped away from while simultaneously releasing several throwing knives at him. He avoided and parried with little movements as he continued on with his assault, Jason tried his best to fend off his strikes, till his legs were kicked out from under him and a dagger was placed in front of him pointing at his throat. “Well done Jason, you have finally completed your training, although there is much I want to teach you we don’t have enough time and this should be enough to prevent you from getting killed too quickly” he said “ Thank you Sylvester for everything, I might actually miss you when I’m gone”, Jason said with a smile as he stood up.
Chapter 9
Jason entered the tavern to see countless people inside with violent laughter erupting among the patrons from time to time as they went about their conversations. There was music playing and drinks being served in mugs as waitresses moved among the patrons delivering food and drinks. As Jason stood there in the doorway observing the place, a heavy hand landed on his shoulder. He felt like his legs were going to buckle from the weight alone when he heard a voice behind him“You’re small,”As Jason turned, he saw a giant of a man with a huge barrel on his shoulder staring down at him. He wore sleeveless leather armor with a huge battle hammer slung across his back and Jason could swear the man was at least seven feet tall.“Don’t mind Tom. His etiquette leaves much to be desired, but he means well.” A smallish man said from Jason’s side as the now identified Tom moved past Jason. Jason turned to get a better look at the smallish man who had spoken to see him wearing clothes of varying s
Chapter 8
The world snapped into existence around Jason and he found himself standing in a town.It took him a moment to get his bearings, as his head stopped spinning. He noticed the medieval look of the city he found himself in. It kind of reminded him of fantasy MMORPG games. He could feel a gentle breeze on his skin and could make out the noise given off by the activities going on in the city. Looking up into the sky, he could tell by the position of the sun that it was around midday. He looked around him to realize he was standing in some kind of alleyway between two buildings. He took notice of his simple brown trousers and cloth shirt he wore and as far as he could tell he had no weapons on him.Jason exited the alleyway to a courtyard of some sort that had a single exit and a burly guard posted on each side. The two guards wore leather armor and their faces were obscured with metal helmets. Each guard held a spear and had a leather belt around their waist that held a dagger sheathed int
Chapter 7
"And who are you, old man" Jason inquired in an even tone, sclera still black as night as he stared at the old man."I am known as the dark one, the God of all that is dark and shunned in this world by the so-called light, and my followers follow the path of darkness", the old man asked as he bowed slightly."I sense in you a yearning for power, a hunger to control and not bow to another. Those that walk my path certainly find it""Huh, so you are some evil God in need of followers, offering a devil's deal?"" My followers are often treated as villains, with no moral code or compass, but one must know that just because one follows the dark and lives for oneself and desires does not make one inherently evil, it's just a matter of perspective. One is not good just because he is a hero or said to be a priest of light, why then must my followers conform to the rules and so-called social norms that others set. Every human in this world desire something, no one is perfect not even the so-ca
