Wushu Shengli's Identity

A dark shade of black covered the sky while specks of shimmering light adorned it. A huge circular plate shone brightly above the sky in contrast to the dark sky.

The cold breeze traveled across the plains as it blew the sword-like grasses and jade-like leaves. The leaves danced as they fell on the ground as it was accompanied by the howling of birds that could be heard while slight silence permeated the atmosphere.

It was already nighttime.

Wushu Shengli was admiring the starry sky and the night scenery above the terrace of his Cultivation Palace. He had already agreed to live in his cultivation palace and since it was situated above a mountain, the cold breeze caressed his milky white skin.

His purple hair fluttered across the air while his jade-green eyes glanced at the landscape outside his cultivation palace.

“To think I have transmigrated into a cultivation world. It doesn’t seem that bad.”

Shengli admired the scenery while reminiscing about his past life. It felt too sudden for him to arrive in a new world just after his death. He thought of this as just a dream but it was too vivid for that to happen.

After all, if not for the appearance of the system as well as his sudden transmigration, Shengli wouldn’t know that he had already died and was transmigrated into this world.

‘I am lucky to be equipped with a system due to my transmigrator privilege. If not for this, I might have already suffered after my transmigration.’

Shengli knew that if he didn’t receive a system, he would remain a trash cultivator who couldn’t even break through to Core Formation Realm. If that happened, he would be expelled from the sect and return to the Wushu Clan as one of the servants despite his noble lineage.

The Wushu Clan was one of the eight ancient clans in the Mortal Domain. Shengli was one of the many successors of the Wushu Clan who could compete for the patriarch position since his father was the current patriarch of the Wushu Clan.

Even so, Shengli’s previous status as a cultivator with trash talent was the cause of his being forced to leave the clan. He could only return to the clan if he was qualified enough to compete for the position of patriarch.

Shengli had already integrated with all of the memories of the past host of his body. So he was well aware of his identity as well as the power of the Wushu Clan.

If Shengli was going to make a comparison, even the Transcendence Sect couldn’t defeat the Wushu Clan in a war unless the forefathers of the Transcendence Sect participated in the war. Even if they did, the possibility of the Wushu Clan winning the war was the highest.

After all, the Wushu Clan was the strongest among all the eight ancient clans. Even Shengli believed that he might have underestimated the power of the Wushu Clan since there was a possibility that the ancestors of the Wushu Clan weren’t dead yet.

One of the main reasons why the former Shengli became an outer disciple of the Transcendence Sect was to seek shelter from the clan’s infighting. Otherwise, he would be the first to be eliminated from the battle for the patriarch position.

‘Although the former Shengli had already sought asylum from the Transcendence Sect, he still died. Even after integrating all of the memories of the former Shengli, I still haven’t gotten a clue about the cause of his death. But it should be linked to the Wushu Clan’s heirs.’

Thinking about his brothers and sisters from the Wushu Clan, Shengli knew that one of them must be the culprit for the death of the former Shengli.

‘As expected of a cultivation world. Even familial relationships could be ignored just for the sake of obtaining power.’

With that thought in his mind, Shengli became more resolute in becoming stronger!

With his status as one of the Lead Disciples, Shengli was safe as long as he didn’t leave the Transcendence Sect. Even the assassins from his clan wouldn’t be able to step inside the sect undetected unless they were above Voidbreak Realm.

As the fourth Lead Disciple, cultivation resources would be prioritized for his consumption compared to the rest of the disciples of the sect. Because of that, Shengli was confident that he would have enough strength to defend himself after years of cultivation in the sect.

From what Shengli had known from his master, the First Lead Disciple was currently in close-door meditation in his cultivation palace. The Second and Third Lead Disciples were outside the sect for battle experience.

There were still two vacant positions for the Lead Disciple status and Shengli planned to recommend the Fifth Lead Disciple position to Luo Tian after he had given the Nine Heavenly Stars cultivation talent to him.

Even his master wouldn’t disagree to promote Luo Tian as a Lead Disciple as long as Luo Tian was a talented cultivator. So Shengli was expectant in allowing his brother to become the Fifth Lead Disciple.

After Shengli finished reminiscing as well as recollecting his memories about the Wushu Clan, he returned to his room and closed all of the doors and windows of his cultivation palace.

Throwing himself onto the soft and comfy bed, Shengli lay on his bed as he anticipated giving the Nine Heavenly Stars cultivation talent to Luo Tian tomorrow.

After turning off the lights, Shengli slept on his bed.
