In the swirling mass of chaos, Ghost drifted his soul form dimming with every shift. His mind flashed with memories and emotions Happiness: his daughter's smile....his world " daddy come and help me out" she said calling from the pool her cute face pleading melting his heart Anguish: the day his wife left the world....the day his world lost all colour. She lay on the hospital bed weak...dying " honey....live on" she said smiling as she died away" he had wanted to cry out, wanting the world to burn. Why her?! Why!!, but she held him " daddy is mom okay" she asked her clueless eyes Twinkling. Anger.... Fear..... Rage.... Sorrow.... Wrath... His mind scattered....erratic. he was fading " am coming.....my love" he thought his soul, dulling further.....faster. He was heading into the arms of death.... peaceful (Or not!乁( •_• )ㄏ) Suddenly an intense desire awakened " No he can't die here!, all the pain, all the struggle...all for not! He struggled eyes snapping open to the ice cold void as he struggled to escape the dark and pulling him deeper.... choking. Death felt so close "Why?" The void silent....he was sinking but he didn't want to die. A bright golden light flashed forming into a golden spiral a sharp contrast to the dark void. "Yes! Yes! " He swam wildly in the swirling chaos driven by an intense desire to live, he inched closer.....the energy- healing emitted by the golden portal enriching his soul-with renewed vigour washing away previous exhaustion, he dove right in with all his willpower "Life!!!" he was in as the portal closed after him leaving the silent void as the void churned violently. Like a spirit of tempest was about to break out- waves of chaos crashing wildly in the dark space " Where is he?! Where is my toy!!!!!" a furious boomed across the void. --------------------- (Moral of the story: life is good don't die, but if you do? Live.....pfft) ---------------------- The moon hovered in the sky casting it's glow on the settlement below it. Echoes of fight rang out with electromagnetic bullet shards flying in all directions from the skirmish of the shark gang and the vector squad. (Tsk!Typical boosters!ಠ︵ಠ) Bang! Bang! Crash! Crack! The fight dragged on as bullets sprayed and pulse fired scattering the soil beneath, drilling into nearby building.... effectively turning them to concrete seives. (But this didn't matter to our man ) Far away in a typical junkyard....heaps of cybernetic wears, chromes and mechanical parts of various sizes and uses garthered. A story structure with a medium large warehouse at the back came into view...LED lights flickering off and on. Inside the warehouse scattered with cybernetic and mechanical components even a half assembled egg like droid-a cleaner bot, laid on a large desk.....an holographic diagram hung in the air...flickering blue with a slow humm. Among the pile of metallic parts, layed a young figure spiraled with limb strung out: brown hair coupled with long lashes that fluttered slightly with the wind. Slightly skinny the work form he wore outlines his lanky frame. The figure eyes twisted as it flung open.... panic setting in (Whelp!) FIRST POV- I opened my eyes to a dimly lit space, scattered mechanical part lines the space with flickering halos. Confused I gazed down into my palms. They felt unfarmiliar....because indeed they were Arrrgh! I grabbed my head....or this head as a sharp searing pain tore through my head and body Ahhhhh! The pain continued for a while with me rolling around trying to cope Huff! Huff! After a while it subsided with some memories- not mine settling in. ".....so I got reincarnated into a futuristic world where money ruled and machine served" I mummered..... dazed Ghost...net runner....buzzsaw various images and terminology flooded my mind as I tried digesting them all. This body's name was Rex, cause of death? poison. ( tch typical) Three days ago, the daughter of the shark gang- a group of booster madmen with the leader bearing a signature shark like fin on his back.....a cybernetic spine called a chrome by this world dwellers The cybernetic spine a pseudo level 2 chrome implant, enhanced his thinking and reflex actions, physical ability and even had hidden blade that could eject behind him at insane speed not to mention the rage mode where a burst of electricity amplifies all his qualities- strength , speed, dexterity.....all by 3x turning him into a humanoid killing machine but with a side effect- three day paralysis. And if used often, could lead to permanent paralysis and eventually brain death. (a literal vegetable chuckle (•‿•)) So his daughter-Jesse came to him to be her private playboy but the predecessor refused sighting the wrath of her father. Furious she stormed out.... not after hitting him in the balls....it had hurt (Nasty! ⊙﹏⊙ Don't your think?) So earlier yesterday, he was coming back shopping for cheap material from the black market buzzer located at void alley, he had been attacked by a group of chrome wielders-cybernetically enhanced with shark fins on both sides of each arm and legs, sharp gleaming in the morning sun. With one gang member ....huge bearing of a huge external implant- a sharp helmet that had an electromagnetic pulse cannon mounted on the top....the hollow barrel gleam-deadly. The red visor gleamed with faint red light. The fight has been fierce with him sustaining injuries from their sharp fins- laced with deadly toxins. Which took his life "Sigh! So am Rex now" he sighed eye melancholic, past life flashed through his eyes....the pains and struggled before basing replaced with fierce and cold gleam " I will live this life to the very fullest and take revenge for old Rex" he said his growl low...dark [Requirement met.....s [System initializing...error...error....fixing error.... Tap tap tap! The lab brightened up sequentially as the steps of Rex shoes against the metallic lab floor Echoed. Various machineries and electronic screens flickered to life with a low hum.
