BORN DIFFERENT

Joabe Dampang was born with some abilities on the days when dark magic; was widely practiced in the rocky lands of Africa.

His grandfather, Laar Yompa, upon realizing his abilities, on the day of his birth, fed him with a dark spiritual retention meal. The dark-spiritual retention meal; was meant to protect Joabe from losing his destiny to destiny changers.

His grandfather, Yompa, upon noticing a hidden spiritual mark; of fly-whisk on his chest, knew his grandson came onto the earth with some abilities.

These spiritual abilities of Joabe; can be seen by those with evil eyes. Which they will either change his destiny or destroy him before his initiation date.

Joabe reacted differently to the dark spiritual retention meal. Not only did the dark-spiritual retention meal protect him from his abilities being taken from him by destiny changers, as it does to those who are fed, with it.

It also activated his ability to absorb the magic of those who try to change his destiny or hurt him or someone else in his presence.

Joabe was due to be initiated into the dark magic cult on his third birthday.

When Joabe; is initiated into the dark magic cult will start to show the sign of the man in him.

But his hands were already lighting the spiritual fire on the third day of his birth. That spiritual fire; was seen by only his grandfather, who had spiritual eyes. His grandfather kept this secret to avoid ordinary people's attention on Joabe.

Joabe's mother 'Konduk' did not know his true identity, even though she felt something wasn't right.

She could see the bright eyes of Joabe's grandfather anytime he was looking at the boy. She never figured out the truth on the first fortnight of the boy's birth.

On the third week of Joabe's birth, he was already; having teeth. His mother 'Konduk' became afraid to breastfeed him because among his teeth are four-pointed sharp teeth two up two down like that of a lion.

Joabe's father, Laar Dampang, on the other hand, was not surprised when he saw a few things about their newborn baby.

His family; was known as one of the families that practice dark magic.

Besides, they believed there was reincarnation; and so Joabe could be one of their ancestors who came back on a specific assignment.

It was not normal for a boy at that stage; to grow spiritual accession teeth. Spiritual accession teeth were teeth of wisdom and murder. Those who had practiced dark magic lose their teeth and grow, that one after sixty-one years of practicing.

Another spiritual mystery of Joabe was, He never slept at night, ever since he was born, contrary to what normal babies do.

His mother became more concerned and afraid. She thought she might have wronged one of the superpowers and have been cursed; by their ancestors.

Although she has heard, and seen from oral history, about children born with unique abilities, Joabe's attitude and appearance were extraordinary. She got worried day by day and nearly committed suicide because of fear of the boy.

On the third day of Joabe's birth, his granduncle Duutloug Jasuak, who was also the oldest in their village, out of Jealousy for Joabe's unique abilities, tried to destroy Joabe's destiny with his dark magic.

Every male child born in the family is first welcomed into the family, on the third day by the oldest man, who will bathe him and give him water and wine.

In the process of bathing Joabe, his granduncle Duutloug dropped saliva in Joabe's mouth. But little did he know that he had passed all his powers to Joabe.

They knew Joabe was spiritually powerful, but they did not believe he could challenge Duutloug in public without any fear. If Duutloug had not argued with the boy for some time, people would have thought that someone told, Joabe to insult Duutloug in public. Duutloug knew he had caused a lot of atrocities in the past, so he stopped challenging Joabe.Laar Dampang perceived that what Joabe said was probably true but shouldn't have been at the market square, apologized to Duutloug for any inconvenience caused to him. Before Laar Dampang could finish talking, Joabe stretched out his right hand across Duutloug's face and grabbed three fast-moving lightning bristles of a crested porcupine.
