“I don’t believe that,” Tarot replied.

He was still trying to understand what had happened. The bracelet was proof that Asher was inside the house, but what they couldn’t tell was whether he escaped or was inside when the house was burnt to the ground.

Tarot refused to accept that Asher was dead, he felt that if Asher could save him, he could do the same for himself.

But what other way is there to explain when they found the colour bracelet that Asher had always kept by his side? Maybe it slipped from his grip, maybe he had used the energy before he ran out of the room. But either way, he strongly believed Asher wasn’t dead.

There had to be another way, or a clue to prove that Asher was still alive.

Mark was in uncertainty, Augustus held the bracelet staring at it as if he was waiting for the bracelet to talk to him, he was trying his best not to believe what he said even though his mind was trying to say it was true.

The moment they arrived at Marco’s apartment, Augustus was the only one who stepped out of the car; he shoved his hands into his pockets as he gazed at the ambience. He wasn't sure Asher would be there, but he had no clue. If he had to search the entire city to find Asher, he would do that.He took a deep breath as he ambled forward. When he reached for the door, he knocked twice and waited for someone to open the door. A few minutes later, the door swung open, revealing Marco in a casual outfit. He looked at Augustus with a straight face.“Hello, how can I help you?”Marco felt unease with Augustus’s presence; he felt like he was a cop or someone who had come to cause trouble. “Good evening, sir.” Augustus greeted politely and smiled as he shoved out his phone. “Please, I know you recognise this man. Have you by any chance seen him or know of any place I can find him?” Marco, for a moment, stared at Asher’s picture. He tapped out the phone to be sure it wasn’t a mistake, but it w

Where he was and why he hadn’t called any of them. Something bad had just happened. Tarot felt that Gaius must have gotten Asher; it was possible, but he wasn’t sure that Asher would go down easily.
