Team effort

Not too long ago, Rodney had received a shocking notification that left him dumbfounded."Guys I really think this is too much,Eiko would have been the perfect leader" rodney said.

"We've made our decision so make yours and name the faction so we can go for some group quests" Eiko said.

"Now would you stop being a baby and decide already" Blair said punching Rodney playfully on the shoulder.It came as a surprise to him and he was finding it very difficult to digest. The responsibilities that came with being a leader was no small fry and he wasn't sure he was ready for that, but what's done is done and there's no going back he thought.

"if we're a team then we decide as a team". Rodney spoke up.They all agreed and began to wrack their heads for a group name. One that would be a symbol of their strength and perhaps be cool as well. "Oh I got it..how about beast nightmare... You know cause we are their worst nightmare?". Blair suggested and the group just looked in his direction shaking their heads. He was quite the character they thought.

"OK guys...Border faction?" Mia suggested.. 

"Why border faction?" Eiko asked...

"Well we did leave our dimension if I'm not mistaking to find ourselves here" she said while shrugging. It was clear the two that had come up with names were terrible at it. What was worse, they were the only ones who actually had an idea at the moment. The other two took a considerable amount of time before actually coming up with something.

"How about legion?... I mean we are obviously small in number but pack the force of a legion" Eiko went on to explain.

"That's okay I guess .." Rodney said.

"We don't have to go with it if you had something better, let's hearyours before we decide " Eiko mentioned and the rest nodded in agreement. This was the moment they were beginning to respect each other's opinion. It wasn't exactly abnormal that kids their age would form a bond very fast either.

"No its totally fine, I was blank anyway" Rodney said then forced a laugh as if to drive the message home that it was fine. The others looked at him for a while to see if his face would betray him and show forth his actual emotion but that never came.

"OK legion it is..." Mia said excitedly .

"The mighty legion!!!!" Blair said in a loud tone. 

It seems they were all in agreement so the notification popped up again.

"Alright!! this feels nice..." He thought as he read through what was displayed. It seems he not only got the reward the group would receive but would receive extra exp as well. Though the stats option wasn't available now but he just recently unlocked his ability and couldn't wait to try it out..

" Only one skill?...and the ability itself is at a level 1?!!" Rodney thought in frustration but felt he couldn't do much about it if he just kept yelling in his mind.

The faction groups are ranked from F down to A and the legion group is ranked F because it's a new group at the moment. Although how to climb up the ranks was something he wasn't too sure about."Was it when more members join in?"..."That can't be the case because there's only so much we can allow in given we have a slot to fill. That's if I'm not mistaking" Rodney tried to analyze the whole thing in his head as he looked at the system window.

"Guys I believe we just got our first quest and it's not one that will be easy" Rodney said and they all knew cause they also saw the messages as well.

As they arrived at the location where the bull was on a rampage,they could see the bull was no small one and it looked busy wrecking everything in its path. Not a single wall stood where the bull had been. Everything fell flat to its sheer brute force.

"OK guys we need a plan, first we have to grab its attention" Rodney spoke to the team.

"On it!!" Blair said as he ran forward and picked up a stone hauling it at the bull. The beast suddenly stopped in its tracks and turned it's attention to the the only people it could see. Now making the deduction that it could only be them, either way it was going to attack anyway and so it  did charging in full force ahead.

"Uhm guys ...now what?" Blair said as he began to run back to the spot the others were at.

" Spread out!!! Standing together will make us an easy target" Rodney shouted out and the others complied with this as they were all going into positions. Mia and Eiko went to high grounds. This action for Eiko's part was simply because needed space to try out his new ability. Rodney and Blair were  left on the ground with the bull which was obviously not an enviable position right now.

The beast was coming at an incredible speed that they couldn't match up with, then it suddenly decided to focus on one person in particular."Why is it coming at me?!" Blair complained as he took to his heels running round the market with the bull not too far behind.

"Hmm let's see..maybe if you had not run off to pick a fight with it in the first place!!" Mia replied Blair's earlier question even though an answer wasn't needed. Rodney not wasting time began to chaseafter the bull that was pursued Blair.

This was an awkward site for more than one reason. Eiko was having the hardest time aiming as they wouldn't stay in one place for him to aim and he wasn't keen on hitting his team mates either. Mia was having the same problem as her weapon, the fan although couldn't travel far still required some distance and precision .

"Wait a minute, I have unlocked my ability" Eiko said in excitement as he reaches for his dagger and got set to take the shot at the bull.But even with this slight moment of realization, it struck him that there was only so much he could do even with his ability.

"Can you guys slow it down a bit?" Eiko said to the two on the ground although this came in form of a shout, the boys were too preoccupied with running that they had almost not hear what he was saying.

It was amazing how long Blair had been running for his life without let up. He maintained the same speed which was fast and kept going like a locomotive not even looking back for once.Rodney who was tired of running behind the two playing tag decided a different approach

" Hey Blair!!!! Run towards me" Rodney barked at Blair . Withoutthinking,  Blair gladly took the offer and minutes later he was seen running towards Rodney.

"What the...what is he trying to do ..get himself killed?" Mia thought watching the whole thing. Eiko by now had lowered his guard as he was just as curious .Blair was running full steam ahead and when he got behind Rodney. The latter held out his hands pointing at the charging bull.

"Don't tell me this was what you had planned ...a staring contest?!" Blair complained..

What Rodney was trying to do was activate his shadow powers.

And just like that six shadow rose in front of the boys in a straight line, all this shadows had one thing in common, they all looked like Rodney. The only difference was they were completely shadow black. The bull kept on charming ahead and for every shadow it got close to, it was made to pay as it kept on blowing up reducing it's health and speed, and finally the last one of the shadow bombs had left the bull staggering..

"Let's finish this!"Eiko said as he threw his daggers one after the other at the beast. The daggers was coming in fast and were both heading for the stomach of the beast. When suddenly they changed direction and speed and went right through the chest of the beasthitting the heart. The beast fell and moaned in pain for few seconds before it stopped moving.

"Hey ...we did it " Blair said. "Finally, level 5". As he glared in the air looking all happy.

" Urgh level three still... When will I get to five?" Mia was thinking as she could see how big of a jump the abilities had given Rodney and Eiko. And now Blair was going to be even more active in the team than she w*s. She hated that she felt this way but she had actually felt quite comforted that Blair hadn't unlocked his ability before but now she was all alone and quite clearly the group's weak link.

They decided to head  back to their home and while on the way Blair came up with a suggestion.

"Hey I don't know about you guys but I'm starving ...everything here seems to be unreal except dying and hunger". The othersimmediately boast into a loud laughter on hearing his comment. Blair though for the first time didn't find his joke funny as he meant every word of what he said.

"I think I speak for everyone when I say, let's go get some meat" Eiko said and they all laughed as they made a turn from their original route to go to the place where they could get some food.

" Your ability.. Never seen it before" Blair said looking at Rodney.

"Trust me ..I'm just as clueless as you are.. It did.." Rodney was about to say but paused to think of how it would sound if he told the others the ability had seemingly forced itself on him.

" Did what?" . Blair asked..

"Oh never mind ...was just gonna say it did surprisingly do well out there and sick telepathic control you got there Eiko" Rodney said looking off to the side to see that one person didn't seem all too happy.

"Heh...its nothing"... Eiko replied and suddenly turned to look at what Rodney and Blair had their eyes fixed on.

"Hmmm..she must be sad she didn't get to do much" Rodney thought to himself but wouldn't say this out as it might only hurt her the more should he be right."I should probably stop talking about how great we all did leaving her out". Rodney thought.

" Hey...maybe mia would make us dinner..right Mia?"..Rodney said again..

"Uhm...not sure that's a good idea" Mia replied with a red cheek which the others found odd.

"Come on ..how bad can it possibly get?".. Eiko chimed in to askand Rodney shrugged that is in a way saying it wasn't a big deal. 

"Well at most she burns down the house with us in it...that's how bad" Blair said and almost instantly began to run as Mia had a look that turned her from the pretty red faced princess that she w*s moments ago into a hungry demon. She immediately pulled out her Fan chasing after Blair.

"Save me!!" Blair yelled for help.

"I'll kill you!!!" Mia said laughing as she chased after him. 

"She's never gonna catch up is she?" Rodney said to the one still left walking with him... 

"Not a chance...Not even a tiny bit" Eiko said and they both laughed it out...
