Olivia’s body was still trembling. Two hours earlier, Gavin had transferred another twenty million dollars into Noctis Club’s account under her control to prove he was serious.

“Olivia. If your family truly used to have its own business network... are there any old structures left?”

“There are still a few companies remaining. But they’ve been dormant for years.”

“Reactivate them.”

Olivia fell silent for a moment.

“But... that’ll take time. And of course, reviving them won’t be cheap either.”

“I already sent the money.”

“Huh?”

That final conversation kept replaying inside Olivia’s head long after Gavin left to handle his own affairs.

Even after personally seeing the money arrive, she still found it difficult to believe.

Twenty million dollars. Just to awaken dead companies.

Slowly, Olivia stared at her own reflection in the mirror.

“I need to meet them.”

Without hesitating any longer, she immediately grabbed her blazer and handbag.

“Alright then, Mister Valerio...”

“If you truly can resurrect Clark Venture from its grave...”

Olivia inhaled deeply.

“Then I’ll follow you... even if you lead me straight into hell itself.”

[Capital Allocation Efficiency Increased]

After everything that happened recently, Gavin honestly had no reason to return to the university. Especially now that he was absurdly rich.

And yet—Here he was.

Sitting in one corner of the university library, surrounded by stacks of books.

Ever since arriving earlier, Gavin had completely ignored the stares around him. Even now, from the corner of his eye, he could still see people walking past while whispering and quietly laughing.

Obviously talking about him.

But Gavin merely smiled in response. To him, those people were simply idiots who understood absolutely nothing.

“You’d probably cough blood if you knew how rich I am right now,” Gavin mocked internally.

Speaking of wealth... Gavin was beginning to realize that money was not only a blessing. It was also a curse.

Although he gained points from spending money on Olivia, the System had also warned him that what he did was dangerous.

“Shit...” Gavin rubbed his forehead lightly. “I practically spent the entire night thinking about the safest possible way to move those numbers around.”

Ding!

[Special Ability Acquired]

Gavin immediately froze. This was the first time he had received a notification like this.

Without hesitation, he instantly opened his Special Ability panel.

[Capital Structuring] : Lv.1

• Basic institutional capital movement comprehension increased.

• Basic liquidity pathway recognition enabled.

• Financial structure analysis slightly improved.

• Traceability awareness increased.

Even though Gavin rarely attended classes, as an economics student, he wasn’t stupid enough to ignore reality.

If he kept directly transferring massive amounts of money like before, regulators would eventually notice him.

And just now, Gavin had spent four entire hours studying the safest methods for moving his wealth into the real world so he could complete his missions more efficiently.

“So that’s how it works...” Gavin muttered quietly.

“It looks like I actually need a foundational understanding of something before unlocking Special Abilities related to it.”

Because the explanation of the ability perfectly matched the exact concepts he had just spent hours trying to understand from the books piled in front of him.

A faint smile slowly formed on Gavin’s face. Because now—He was finally beginning to understand how to develop himself properly.

[ Dormant Corporate Entity Reactivated ]

Now Gavin’s smile widened even further. Even though Olivia hadn’t contacted him yet, this notification alone was enough to confirm that she had already done something right.

Another thing Gavin had now fully understood about how the System worked was this— Even after transferring money, it wouldn’t automatically convert into points unless he purchased or established something that directly became part of his capital structure.

At the same time, not every act of spending money was considered beneficial. Every dollar he spent needed to possess capital value.

Otherwise, the System would penalize him for acting against its mission. Gavin was just about to close the System panel again when another notification sounded.

And this time, his smile grew even wider. It seemed Olivia was working far beyond his expectations.

[ Capital Structure Detected ]

[ System Stability Increased : 2% ]

“It seems my assistant isn’t just beautiful and sexy...” Gavin muttered quietly. “She’s actually extremely capable too.”

[ Biological Urges Increasing ]

“Oh, come on...” Gavin sighed internally. “You really don’t need to react to every little thing. I was only—”

Ding!

[ First Network Node Established ]

[ Territorial Foundation Created ]

Gavin immediately fell silent. His eyes widened the moment he saw the notification.

[Points : 360]

“Miss Clark...” Gavin muttered. “You’re truly incredible.”

“Miss Clark?”

“Who’s Miss Clark?”

Gavin instantly snapped out of his thoughts and looked up. Three people were standing there staring at him.

“Gavin, where the hell have you been? We were worried about you.”

The one who spoke was Adam. The other two were Caleb and Dylan.

“Oh... it’s you guys.”

The three of them were Gavin’s closest friends at the university. They had also been his roommates back when he still lived in the dormitory.

“I was just looking for a place to stay,” Gavin answered casually. “I already found one.”

“Gavin... are you okay?”

“As you can see, I’m fine.” Gavin looked at them calmly. “Why?”

“No, I mean...” Adam hesitated slightly.

“That video. We saw...” Adam suddenly stopped himself.

Of course they saw it. Everyone had. The video where Gavin helplessly tried attacking Brandon only to end up lying on the floor with blood pouring from his head.

And before that, there was another recording where Gavin was forced to watch what Brandon did with Bella right in front of him.

But the Gavin standing before them now... Looked completely different from what they expected.

“Oh, that.” Gavin remained calm. “I’m not thinking about it anymore.”

“Gavin, we get it.” Caleb sighed. “Everyone knows who Brandon is. You don’t have to pretend to be strong.”

“Besides...” Dylan added coldly, “didn’t we already warn you that bitch was just using you?”

Yeah. The three of them had warned Gavin from the very beginning. Bella was only pretending to be kind while taking advantage of him.

But Gavin misunderstood everything back then. Instead, he accused them of being jealous because Bella wasn’t just beautiful, She also had an incredibly seductive body.

And now, after hearing one of them bring it up again, Gavin could only smile bitterly.

“I think...” Gavin exhaled quietly. “I owe all of you an apology for ignoring your warnings.”

“And honestly... I’m much better now after finally realizing it.”

The three of them stayed silent. They didn’t seem fully convinced.

“Seriously,” Gavin continued, “you guys don’t need to worry about me.”

Eventually, they nodded. If Gavin truly could handle it himself, then there was no point dragging the topic further.

“Well, good if you’ve finally realized it,” Adam finally said.

“Oh right.” He suddenly pulled out an envelope. “Miss Ellington asked me to give this to you.”

“But honestly... you should probably go see the Dean directly first. This is a little...”

Adam held out the letter toward Gavin. The moment Gavin saw it, he merely smiled.

Even without opening it, everyone already knew what it contained.

“Alright. Thanks.”

Gavin immediately stood up and grabbed the envelope from Adam’s hand. He glanced briefly at the university seal before turning around and walking away just like that.

“Hey, Gavin! Where are you going?” Adam called out. “Shouldn’t we talk about this first? Maybe we can help you.”

“No need.” Gavin waved casually without stopping. “I’ll handle it myself.”

“After that, I’ll come find you guys. Alright?”

“Adam...” Dylan frowned slightly. “What’s wrong with him?”

“Yeah...” Caleb nodded slowly. “He’s acting kinda... weird.”

Adam, who felt the exact same thing, simply shook his head.

“I don’t know. Let’s just wait for him.”

Originally, the three of them planned to help Gavin deal with his overdue tuition fees. But judging from Gavin’s behavior now... It was as if their friend suddenly believed there was no problem in this world he couldn’t solve anymore.

“Hey...” Caleb suddenly looked at the pile of books on the table. “Who’s supposed to put all these books back?”

“Oh, for fuck’s sake—”

“HEY! GAVIN!!”

“Profit?” Gavin asked, half under his breath. “Yeah.” Caleb immediately leaned forward. “How much?” Honestly, Gavin himself didn’t really understand crypto that well. The basics weren’t hard to grasp, but he had never actually bought a single token before. He didn’t even have an exchange app. He had only heard other people talk about it. “You guys are still here?” Gavin asked when he realized Nina and the others were still standing behind him. “W-We...” Nina stammered slightly. “Just tell us already!” one of the girls behind Nina shouted. “Yeah, we wanna know too!” another added shamelessly. There was no way Gavin could escape now after starting all this. He glanced left and right. Every eye was still locked onto him. So after thinking for a few seconds, he finally answered casually. “One hundred.” Adam frowned. Dylan tilted his head slightly. Nina and almost everyone else in The Yard also seemed confused because the number was way too short. “One hundred what?” “One hu

You can think whatever you want,” he said. “But who exactly are you?”Nina slightly pulled her head back, but Gavin still wasn’t done.“And why is whatever I do any of your busine—”His words suddenly stopped when his eyes landed on one of the girls standing beside Nina.“Oh...” Gavin slowly nodded. “Alright. CHAPTER 18 — Power RangersThe Yard was still fairly crowded that night. We only built the place. We’re not the ones who uploaded it, and we’re not the ones creating all that bullshit on there.”Dylan, who had been busy stabbing fries with his fork the whole time, finally looked up. Gavin walked slowly along the campus pathway with his phone pressed against his ear. Several shopping bags were still hanging from his hands, swaying lightly with each step. The night air felt colder now.“Olivia...” Gavin frowned slightly. “What exactly did you mean earlier?”Several seconds of silence passed before Olivia’s voice finally came from the other side of the call.“Gavin, if your goal is simply to start a business, then everything is fairly straightforward. We choose an industry, find a good location, and start investing.” Her voice remained calm as usual. “But if what you want to build is your own network, then that becomes a different problem.”Gavin stayed silent as he continued walking, waiting for Olivia to continue.“We need information,” Olivia finally said. “We need to know which networks are beginning to weaken, who’s fighting who, who’s losing money, and who’s becoming desperate.
