Gavin was still smiling in satisfaction as he walked toward the Dean’s office. But just as he approached the door, he saw Bella stepping out from inside.

His mood instantly darkened. Especially when, instead of ignoring him and leaving, Bella deliberately stopped and blocked his path.

“Gavin, why are you following me?” Bella frowned coldly. “I already warned you not to contact me again.”

“I’m not following you. I came he—”

“Bella, I think this loser is seriously obsessed with you.”

Gavin’s expression immediately changed the moment several other girls appeared nearby, and one of them interrupted him directly.

“Do you seriously have no self-respect?” the girl sneered. “Honestly, we feel embarrassed just because you attend the same university as us.”

Until now, Gavin had no idea the two of them knew each other. But after seeing how familiar they acted, Gavin immediately realized Bella was apparently part of one of the university’s infamous clique groups.

“What?” Nina smirked arrogantly. “You didn’t know we were friends this whole time?”

Then she looked toward Bella and laughed lightly. “Bella, your acting was honestly way too perfect for someone this stupid.”

“I’m not following her,” Gavin said flatly, ignoring Nina’s provocation. “And all of you are blocking my way.”

At that moment, five girls were standing directly in front of him, staring at him with open disgust.

Nina was about to speak again, But the moment she noticed the letter in Gavin’s hand, a mocking smile immediately spread across her face.

Meanwhile, Bella simply rolled her eyes because she already knew exactly what the letter contained.

“Such an idiot.” Nina crossed her arms. “You should’ve just taken the money.”

“Look at this...” she continued mockingly. “Wasn’t Brandon generous enough already? He even gave you compensation for that little performance.”

Bella visibly looked uncomfortable hearing that.

She agreed to humiliate Gavin. But she never expected Brandon to secretly place cameras around the room and record everything.

Even though their faces were censored in the uploaded clips, it barely mattered anymore. At this point, everyone already knew it was them.

Meanwhile, Gavin himself was already close to exploding. But he understood this wasn’t the right time yet.

So he forcibly restrained himself from doing anything that could interfere with his future plans.

Still, Deep inside his heart, Gavin swore that one day he would repay Brandon and everyone connected to him at least tenfold. Or maybe... Even more.

“I don’t care what any of you say,” Gavin finally spoke coldly. “Now move aside.”

“I’m going in.”

The moment Gavin forcibly pushed past them and entered the Dean’s office, Nina clicked her tongue in annoyance.

“Tch. A loser’s pride.”

Bella simply shook her head. Because right now, Gavin truly looked like a powerless loser incapable of doing anything.

“Let’s go,” Bella said casually before turning away.

“Honestly, I still don’t understand why you picked that guy in the first place,” one of the girls said. “Wasn’t he—”

“He was the easiest target,” Bella interrupted calmly. “You all saw it yourselves, didn’t you?”

“Besides...” Bella shrugged lightly, “before I found someone truly worth it, he was obedient enough.”

“And he knew how to satisfy me.”

“What about Brandon then?” another girl asked curiously. “Isn’t he better?”

“Hmmm...” Bella thought briefly before shaking her head.

“At least Brandon can buy me whatever I want.”

Nina and the others exchanged glances. That answer genuinely surprised them.

“So for that part...” Nina smirked, “the loser was actually better?”

“Pretty much,” Bella replied casually. “Why? Interested in him now?”

“Maybe.” Nina laughed. “But at minimum, he’d have to buy me the newest phone model first.”

That immediately made the other girls burst into laughter.

“Wait!!”

After walking some distance away, one of the girls suddenly shouted as if she had just remembered something important.

“What?”

“Now that you mentioned it... I just remembered something.”

“What is it?”

“When Cedric was supposed to buy me a new phone—”

“Yeah, but you didn’t get anything.” One of them rolled her eyes. “He said he’d buy the newest model once his monthly allowance came in. You already told us.”

“No, no, no... not that.”

“Then what?”

The girl looked at everyone one by one before finally stopping at Bella.

“We ran into Gavin there.”

Bella frowned slightly.

“And?”

“He bought a phone.” The girl swallowed. “I mean... the newest flagship model. The exact one I wanted.”

“Seriously?”

“Hey, Bella...” the girl narrowed her eyes slowly. “Didn’t he refuse to take Brandon’s money?”

Gavin was still standing with his back facing the door, able to hear every word the girls were saying outside.

At that moment, his heart was practically burning. It took everything he had not to walk back out and attack every single one of them.

“Gavin! What the hell are you doing standing there?!”

Meanwhile, Wesley Sterling clearly had no intention of welcoming Gavin warmly. He didn’t even offer him a seat when Gavin finally approached the desk.

“Gavin, let’s get straight to the point. If you don’t—”

“Mister Sterling,” Gavin interrupted coldly, “just tell me how much my overdue tuition is.”

“And how much more I need to pay for the rest of my studies.”

Already in a terrible mood, Gavin had no patience left for formalities.

“Actually...” Gavin glanced at his phone casually. “Forget that.”

“I’ll transfer one million dollars.”

“You can keep the rest for yourself. Consider it compensation for my delayed payments.”

Wesley immediately fell silent. Meanwhile, he watched Gavin casually moving his fingers across his phone screen.

“Mister Sterling,” Gavin continued calmly, “I’ve already transferred it to the university account.”

“You can check it yourself.”

Wesley didn’t even have time to process his own reaction. Almost instinctively, he opened the laptop on his desk to verify Gavin’s claim.

Then... His eyes widened instantly.

One million dollars. The money had genuinely arrived in the university account.

“Gavin, this—”

Just as Wesley tried speaking again, His words were interrupted once more.

“Mister Sterling, I need to answer this call.”

Without caring about Wesley at all, Gavin immediately answered the incoming call.

“Olivia?”

“Gavin, I’ve successfully reactivated one of the dormant companies,” Olivia reported immediately. “It may take a little more time before everything is fully operational again.”

“Good.” Gavin smiled faintly. “Glad to hear it.”

“Gavin?”

“Yeah?”

“You’re coming back to my place tonight, right?”

Gavin paused briefly to think before finally nodding lightly. “Yeah. I’ll head there later.”

“Alright then...” Olivia’s voice softened slightly. “I’ll wait for you.”

After the call ended, Gavin turned around and walked back toward Wesley.

“So, Mister Sterling?” Gavin asked calmly. “Have you checked it yet?”

Wesley could only nod. His eyes were still wide open, his mouth slightly hanging.

“Good.” Gavin slid his phone back into his pocket. “Can I leave now? There’s something important I need to take care of.”

Once again, Wesley could only nod reflexively.

“Y-Yes...” he answered almost unconsciously. “Of course, Mister Valerio. I apologize for taking up your valuable time.”

“Alright. Thank you.”

Without another word, Gavin immediately turned and walked out of the Dean’s office. Meanwhile, Wesley remained standing there with emotions he couldn’t even begin to describe.

“W-What the hell was that...?” Wesley muttered blankly. “W-Who exactly is he...?”

“Profit?” Gavin asked, half under his breath. “Yeah.” Caleb immediately leaned forward. “How much?” Honestly, Gavin himself didn’t really understand crypto that well. The basics weren’t hard to grasp, but he had never actually bought a single token before. He didn’t even have an exchange app. He had only heard other people talk about it. “You guys are still here?” Gavin asked when he realized Nina and the others were still standing behind him. “W-We...” Nina stammered slightly. “Just tell us already!” one of the girls behind Nina shouted. “Yeah, we wanna know too!” another added shamelessly. There was no way Gavin could escape now after starting all this. He glanced left and right. Every eye was still locked onto him. So after thinking for a few seconds, he finally answered casually. “One hundred.” Adam frowned. Dylan tilted his head slightly. Nina and almost everyone else in The Yard also seemed confused because the number was way too short. “One hundred what?” “One hu

You can think whatever you want,” he said. “But who exactly are you?”Nina slightly pulled her head back, but Gavin still wasn’t done.“And why is whatever I do any of your busine—”His words suddenly stopped when his eyes landed on one of the girls standing beside Nina.“Oh...” Gavin slowly nodded. “Alright. Now I get it.”At that moment, he finally realized where the ri

We only built the place. We’re not the ones who uploaded it, and we’re not the ones creating all that bullshit on there.”Dylan, who had been busy stabbing fries with his fork the whole time, finally looked up. The night air felt colder now.“Olivia...” Gavin frowned slightly. “What exactly did you mean earlier?”Several seconds of silence passed before Olivia’s voice finally came from the other side of the call.“Gavin, if your goal is simply to start a business, then everything is fairly straightforward. We choose an industry, find a good location, and start investing.” Her voice remained calm as usual. “But if what you want to build is your own network, then that becomes a different problem.”Gavin stayed silent as he continued walking, waiting for Olivia to continue.“We need information,” Olivia finally said. “We need to know which networks are beginning to weaken, who’s fighting who, who’s losing money, and who’s becoming desperate.
