A smile beamed on Dexter's face as he approached the poignant apartment on Fifth Avenue.

It was raining outside.

Although his old, worn-out Walmart uniform was drenched already, he placed the ornate box in his hand inside his pocket for protection.

Dexter smiled again, casting a quick glance at the diamond ring inside the box.

Classy, with intricate mysterious runes carved on it.

That was the ring the Matriarch of the Crane family has worn for generations. His mother wore it last before she died.

"I can't wait to propose to Lena tonight with this ring! She deserves the best and I'll give it to her."

Dexter thought and smiled eagerly.

Tonight, he would reveal his true identity to Lena, as the mysterious secret heir of the Crane Family!

For two years he had carried the secret behind who he is, testing her loyalty. However, Dexter was certain now. Lena was the woman for him.

But the door was unlocked.

Dexter frowned. Lena wasn't supposed to be home yet.

He stepped inside gently while hearing mutters from the living room. But Dexter soon realized they weren't just mutters, they were moans!

Lena was moaning!

Dexter froze on the spot while he saw the terrible sight!

Dexter froze when he heard this. Lena telling him she was pregnant actually prompted the engagement!

“Dexter doesn't deserve a woman like me. Time to dump his sorry ass and be over with it!”

Dexter shut his eyes tightly. He has seen enough.

He stormed into the living room, and on seeing him, Lena quickly pushed the man off her.

“Dexter! What the fuck are you doing here? You're supposed to be at work!” She yelled at him as she struggled to get dressed.

The man just sat on the couch, his dick still dripping with her juices. It was a disgusting sight to see.

“So this is what you do? Cheat on me like a common whore?” Dexter shot back at her, but Lena fumed.

“Don't you talk to me in that fucking manner! What have you ever given me? Where are the luxurious bags and shoes?” She yelled at him again.

Dexter gazed at her in disgust.

“So that's why you spread your legs like a slut? For bags and fucking shoes?”

Lena’s anger grew even more as guilt silently swept across her body. But God forbid she reveals it.

“Agreeing to be your girlfriend was a mistake. I even saw a rat in the restaurant you took me to. Look at me…” she did a turn.

“You cannot afford a woman like me. A common Walmart pauper like you cannot make me happy!”

“My company won a lifetime contract today, all thanks to Vlad here… he even helped me get a secret investor that gave my company $1,000,000! Is that something you can do? Huh!”

Dexter scoffed when he heard the words.

“Is that what he told you?” he chuckled as she frowned deeply.

What Lena didn't know was that Dexter pulled the strings in the background. Even the secret investor was also Dexter!

But of course Vlad had deceived Lena and she fell for it.

“Why are you actually here? Huh! Is it money? Do I need to give you money so you would get the fuck out of my life?” Lena laughed as she crossed her arms.

“I don't care about anything concerning you anymore. Its all polluted like you,” Dexter replied to her.

“You miserable ass-wipe! You're dead and gone where men are concerned. Fuck you! Don't expect me to forgive this disrespect!” Lena cried out.

Dexter chuckled. “You think I'll take you back? A slut like you?” He asked her.

“Fuck you Dexter!” She yelled again.

But then, Vlad stood up with a wicked smile on his face.

“Dexter. There's no need to be so brazen. All she did was pick better. Lena deserves more than you,” he said to Dexter who shot him a glare.

“If I want to hear a goat bleet, I'll poke it. I'm not talking to you!” Dexter shot back at him immediately.

A wave of anger held Vlad to the core. His eyes turned red immediately.

“You dare disrespect me! I am a CEO. How dare you! You're NOTHING!” Vlad growled.

But Dexter glared at him.

“Oh, wow! I'm scared shitless!” He said sarcastically.

Vlad was furious. He didn't know where Dexter's guts came from. He was supposed to be a pauper.

“Don't talk to him like that. He is ten times the man you will ever be!” Lena joined Vlad.

“A shrewd response from a whore. Its to be expected,” Dexter replied. Lena gritted her teeth!

“I know what's going on here. You want money, don't you, Dexter? Here's $100 bills. Take it and fuck off!” Vlad said to Dexter, forcing the money into his hand.

“Just take the money, Dexter. This is more than your life worth!” Lena retorted with a smile.

Gazing at the both of them, Dexter grabbed the cash and ripped them to pieces.

He threw the confetti on Vlad’s face as Lena gasped out loud.

“You can shove your money up your ass!”
