CHAPTER 2

“Miserable little shit! I'll teach you a fucking lesson right now!”

Vlad yelled and pounced on Dexter, attempting to beat him up.

But Dexter quickly threw Vlad off him like he weighed nothing. As Vlad fell on the glass table and Shattered it to pieces, Lena grabbed an artifact from the shelf.

“Get away from him, you bloody animal!’ she screamed and threw the artifact at Dexter.

Dexter dodged it, and his eyes turned to her in disbelief. Not even once did Dexter think that Lena would hurt him.

She had been so sweet and understanding. That was why he wanted to give her the world!

In that moment of distraction, Vlad clapped his hands in a patterned fashion.

Five large bodyguards rushed into the house, all armed with batons. Vlad sniffled as he stood to his feet, his bloody nose pulsating with great pain.

“I want you all to fuck him up. I don't care if he dies. I'll handle it!” Vlad said to his men who chorused in unison

“Yes boss!”

And then turned to Dexter. They attacked Dexter at once, pinned him down and kept punching him.

“Yes! Beat the shit out of him! That will teach him!” Lena cried out as Vlad walked up to her and grabbed her ass, squeezing it.

She gazed at his broken nose “are you okay?” She asked him. Vlad shot her a glare.

“What do you think!” He snapped.

“Jeez! I was just asking!” She replied and rolled her eyes as she focused on Dexter again.

That was when she saw the box.

“Stop!” Lena commanded and the beating stopped.

She approached Dexter and attempted to take the box but he grabbed it first.

With a smirk, Lena pressed her heels on his fingers till they bled.

Dexter groaned as his hands gave way and she took the box.

“What do we have here?” She muttered in amusement before she opened the box. And gasped.

“An engagement ring? Are you fucking serious right now? What made you think that I would agree to marry you?” She mocked him.

“Get your filthy hands off that ring! You don't deserve it!” Dexter snapped at her but the bodyguards kicked him again.

“What kind of joke is this? This cheap imitation doesn't deserve my time. It belongs in the trash!” She snapped and threw the ring into the trash bag!

Dexter growled! No one would disrespect his mother's ring like that!

As the men tried to subdue him again, a strange wave of energy wrapped around Dexter.

With a loud cry, he pushed the men off him all at once and they fell in different directions. Lena gasped in shock as she saw what just happened.

Dexter's eyes turned pitch black!

“Die, mother fucker!” Vlad called out and attacked Dexter again.

But Dexter grabbed him, slammed him on the ground and kept punching him even as he bled!

“Leave him alone! Stop!! Get your disgusting hands off him!!” Lena cried out in a frenzy.

But Dexter did not stop.

In the panic, Lena grabbed a gun and aimed at Dexter.

“Let him go or I'll blow your fucking brains out!” She snapped at him and cocked the gun.

Dexter turned to her. He didn't even move before she shot at him!

The bullet bounced off an invisible shield and landed with a clatter on the floor. Lena gasped in shock when this happened.

“How did you…” she muttered as Dexter stood on his feet.

“Get away from me!” She screamed in a panic and ran into the room as Dexter approached her, the gun falling from her hand in the process.

Dexter turned and gazed at the mess. Vlad, almost unconscious, shot him a glare. The bodyguards were unconscious.

Realizing there was nothing left for him there, Dexter turned to walk away.

“They'll regret this. I swear it!” Dexter said to himself as he shut the door behind him.
