Chapter 55

Veronica sat cross-legged on the sofa. She had just returned from somewhere. She was preparing to clean herself and dress in a women's suit before going to work but suddenly she was stopped after Azmar called her.

After 20 minutes of waiting in the living room, Azmar still hasn't shown a glimpse. He has already started to cry. He quickly got up from his sofa.

"Veronica?!"

Azmar's loud voice was heard shouting after stepping into the house. Veronica saw a glimpse of Azmar walking towards her. A bouquet was also held in his hand.

Azmar's face turned red. Without delay, he threw the bouquet of roses on the floor. Veronica was surprised to see Azmar's shocking actions in front of his eyes.

"What's wrong with you?"

Veronica asked. His face began to contort with anger after looking at Veronica's face which seemed to betray him all this time. A hand swung to Veronica's clean white cheek. Quickly she grabbed her cheek which Azmar slapped hard.

"Why are you here?!"

"What's all this?!"
