Bryan was slicing fruit for his mother-in-law when his phone rang. He looked around to make sure there’s no one close to him before picking it up.

“Liana. I remember I’ve told you not to contact me unless it's necessary." He lowered his voice and said a bit harshly.

"Sorry, Mr. Bryan. But congratulations! Your wife has achieved great success. She has finally made it and become the best actress in Glare, standing on the stage of Heavenwood and enjoying the attentions from all over the world.” A gentle and pleasant female voice came from the phone.

Bryan was first stunned, then as if suddenly remembering something, he reproached himself, "Oh, damn it, I didn’t know this important thing!"
