She heard his car in the driveway and she tried to look calm as possible.

She heard a groan and sophie turned sharply. Denzel was up, more like Thomas now.

"Denzel", she rushed to his side immediately but Thomas pushed her off completely scared by the close proximity.

"Hey sorry", he tried to stand and help her up but there was a sharp pain at his back.

"You okay?" Sophie asked and stood first then helped him up.

"What happened?" Thomas asked when the doorbell rang.

Sophie went for it.

"Detective Winston?", she pretended to be surprised.

"Ms. Harmsworth", he returned with a smile.

Sophie gave way for him to walk in.

"Mr. Williams", he called as he saw Thomas sitting on the couch.
