Emily looked at Albert Martin and said, "I just arrived in Navia City today. I'm here to pick you up on the way. Tomorrow is your seventeenth birthday."

Albert Martin quickly said, "Then let's go quickly. You're so popular in Navia Academy. Standing here makes me feel so much pressure." Emily then nodded with a smile. She entered the carriage together with Albert Martin. Then, with the flying horses neighing, the carriage moved smoothly away, leaving a trail of smoke.

The carriage was speeding along. After a long while, Albert Martin asked in confusion, "This isn't the way home, is it?"

Emily said softly, "We're going to the Clark Merchant Guild to pick up something."

She looked at Albert Martin with her golden eyes.

"Your father and mother left something for you. They asked you to open it when you turn seventeen."

Albert Martin was immediately shocked. "My father and mother left something for me?"

In the Newhurst Empire, there were many forces. Among them, two forces remained absolutely neutral, and neither the four major families nor even the imperial family of the Newhurst Empire would easily provoke them.

One was the Newhurst Advanced Academy, and the other was the Clark Merchant Guild.

The Newhurst Advanced Academy was the dream of countless young people in the Newhurst Empire. Every year, the geniuses who graduated from the academy were eagerly sought after by the imperial family, the four major families, and various other forces.

The Clark Merchant Guild was engaged in various businesses such as buying, selling, storing, and auctioning items. Its financial resources were so that you couldn't even imagine. But no one ever dared to have any ideas about it because the Clark Merchant Guild was so powerful. The Clark Merchant Guild in the Newhurst State was just one of its branches.

The headquarters of the Clark Merchant Guild was in a much vaster and more prosperous place.

Naturally, there was also a Clark Merchant Guild in Navia City, located in the most luxurious area in the center.

Walking into the Clark Merchant Guild, Emily took out a gold card and handed it to a maid. The maid checked it carefully and then respectfully led the two of them into the VIP room.

After waiting for a while, a middle-aged fat man walked in with a smile on his face, wearing a valuable gemstone necklace around his neck.

The middle-aged fat man said with a smile, "The young master of the Martin family and Miss Emily have honored us with your presence. I apologize for not greeting you properly. The person who can be the steward in this Clark Merchant Guild is indeed very tactful."

Emily recognized the man and said, "Chairman Stephen, you're being too polite." She then introduced him to Albert Martin.

After the introduction, Emily immediately said, "Chairman Stephen, we're here to pick up something."

Chairman Stephen nodded with a smile, turned around, and led the way. Finally, the three of them arrived in a completely enclosed room. The walls of the room were made of some kind of metal and looked extremely solid.

Chairman Stephen walked to the middle of the room, where a ball of light was floating, which was extremely dazzling. Then Chairman Stephen reached his hand into it, and a metal door slowly opened, revealing a metal box inside.

Chairman Stephen said, "This is something left by Albert Martin's father and mother. To open this box, the young master must drip his own blood onto it." After saying that, he left the room.

Albert Martin thought to himself, "What did my father and mother leave for me? Why is it so mysterious?" He always felt that this thing was extremely important to him.

He took a deep breath and couldn't wait to walk forward. He took out a dagger and gently cut the tip of his finger. A drop of blood fell onto the box, and in an instant, the blood was absorbed by the box.

A halo appeared on the surface of the box, and then a creaking sound came from inside the box. The box slowly opened.

Inside it was a fiery red crystal stone, about the size of a fist.

Immediately, Albert Martin was about to open it, but Emily quickly stepped forward to stop him. "Don't open it yet. Master and Mistress said you should open it on your birthday." Then she handed Albert Martin a box and put the crystal stone into it. Albert Martin held it tightly, with tears falling from the corners of his eyes.

Emily asked softly, "What's wrong?"

Albert Martin said excitedly, "Sister Emily, I feel that I'm going to rise to prominence. I must go to the Newhurst Advanced Academy to find you."

After leaving the cellar, they saw Chairman Stephen waiting. Standing beside him was a young girl.

The girl had long, flowing black hair like a waterfall, smooth and shiny. Her skin was as clear and white as crystal. She was wearing a moon-white long dress, with elegant flower patterns embroidered on the dress with silver silk threads. Under the sunlight, there seemed to be a faint glow flickering. She was wearing a light pink gauze shawl, as light as a cloud, fluttering in the wind.

Chairman Stephen said with a smile, "This is my little niece, Kelly Stephen. She is studying in Navia Academy and admires Emily very much. When she heard that Emily was coming, she kept pestering me to come and meet her. Please forgive me."

"Nice to meet you, Senior Emily."

Her icy eyes locked onto Enoch as her slender hands formed seals. A surge of pale blue soul power erupted forth, instantly coalescing into an ocean across the sky. Then the ocean roiled, summoning ten thousand towering waves that crashed down fiercely toward Enoch.Illya, a mere 3-Star, and you dare challenge me? Back at the academy, I only refrained from showing my true power—otherwise, do you think you’d have lived to this day?!Enoch merely scoffed in disdain. With a flick of his sleeve, billowing flames swept across the firmament, forming a sea of fire that collided with the blue ocean. The moment the two forces met, the blue ocean immediately began to retreat, dissolving amid the scorching heat, wave after wave.Illya’s eyes turned even colder at his words. She then lifted her veil, revealing her cold, beautiful face. Her sandalwood-like lips parted slightly, and she spat out a deep blue orb that radiated layers of shimmering light. At the very core of the orb, a faint purple-eye

Mentor Ilya’s eyes turned frigid. The void behind her rippled violently, and three mountainous divine platforms emerged, swallowing the energy of heaven and earth and exuding a mighty, overwhelming aura. However, her third divine platform was clearly much smaller than the first two—evidently, it had only just taken shape not long ago.Oh? Ilya, you’ve advanced to the 3-Star Divine-Rank?Catching sight of the three divine platforms behind Ilya, a look of surprise flickered across Enoch’s face. According to his intelligence, Ilya had only been a 2-Star Divine-Rank powerhouse in the past; it seemed she had achieved a breakthrough recently.Did Vice Principal Elsie give you some rare treasure from the academy’s vault? Enoch said with a smile. It looks like you actually have me to thank. If I hadn’t destroyed the academy, would Elsie have been willing to empty the academy’s treasury for you?Ilya’s gaze remained icy cold, her eyes fixed on Enoch brimming with murderous intent. Enoch, it wa

Alice’s figure shot up into the sky. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she fixed her gaze northward, then she called out sharply: Hold the line and protect the convoy. I’m going to check things out.Seeing this, the accompanying senior executives of the Clark Merchant Guild exchanged glances, quickly guessing what Alice intended to do. Logically speaking, given the guild’s neutral stance, she ought not to meddle in such affairs. But as the guild’s president—having led the Newhurst branch for years—her authority was deeply entrenched in everyone’s minds. This time, Vice President Hammer had not come along, so no one dared to oppose Alice. They all nodded in compliance.Alice’s form instantly transformed into a streak of flowing light, darting over ten miles in the blink of an eye.Yet at that very moment, the sky above suddenly erupted in flames out of nowhere. Lotus-shaped fire blooms materialized abruptly, blocking her path precisely. The temperature between heaven and earth surged drama

From the carriage behind them stepped Joseph, a gleaming pig-killing knife gripped in his hand. His eyes fixed fiercely on the spot where Enoch’s remains had vanished into smoke, and he warned Albert and the others in a low voice: Watch yourselves. This man is extremely cunning—far from easy to deal with.Even when he’d struck that fatal blow earlier, Joseph had sensed a powerful yet faint aura emanating from Enoch. This Violet Glow Mentor from Newhurst Academy was nowhere near as simple as he appeared. So you’re the hidden god-tier powerhouse of the Martin Family? A voice rang out, echoing across the sky. Enoch’s figure materialized out of thin air as the void rippled around him, his gaze locking onto Joseph with a hint of puzzlement. How is it that you can still maintain your full power even after leaving the family headquarters?Joseph’s eyes blazed with menace as he stared back, but he had no intention of exchanging words with Enoch.Seeing this, Enoch sized Joseph up, then mused

Albert looked at Enoch with disdain and said, How dare you still call yourself a mentor? If Vice Principal Elsie were here, she’d probably tear your mouth to shreds. The academy treated you generously, and you gained countless cultivation resources from it. Yet you colluded with The Unification Cult and destroyed the academy’s Soul Power Tree, leaving innumerable people displaced from their homes.Enoch, you’re by far the most repulsive villain I’ve ever laid eyes on.Faced with Albert’s unsparing sarcasm, Enoch acted as if he’d been spat on and simply wiped it off—still wearing that mild smile on his face. He shook his head and replied, I wasn’t just there to squander the academy’s resources. I put in my fair share of effort too. So my relationship with the academy was nothing more than a straightforward transaction. Talk of betrayal is simply irrelevant. The Unification Cult offered me terms I couldn’t refuse. It was only reasonable that I switched allegiances. As for the academy’s

Albert still remembered that when he first arrived in Newhurst City a year ago, the scenery along the way was so captivating that it made people linger on and on.Yet now, everything had been reduced to ruins.Along the road, he could still see countless figures fleeing their homes, their panic-stricken looks intensifying the sense that an unprecedented catastrophe was imminent.Albert sighed silently to himself. He thought of the Blackwind Empire he had visited during the Holy Grail War—perhaps that land had looked just like this when the disaster first struck. But he truly hoped that Newhurst would not end up as a desolate wasteland stretching for thousands of miles. After all, no matter what, he had been born in Newhurst. He still held a deep affection for this land.Unfortunately, he was clearly powerless to save any of it right now. Worse still, he was about to face a life-or-death battle with an uncertain outcome.Albert’s eyes darkened. He closed them slightly and focused his s
