Chapter 11. Dovahkiin Corporation

Maximus and Anita drove towards the Crystal Peak. The houses and villas in this part of the city was owned only by the truly wealthy, and security in this part was tight. The blue colored Rolls-Royce Sweptail stopped in front of a well fenced villa standing on a six acres of land with a fountain in the middle, its floor was covered with well trimmed carpet grass.

“Truly worth the three million dollars I paid.” Maximus commented with a smile on his face.

“Come Anita, let us take a tour at our new home.” Maximus said as he walked towards the entrance while Anita stood rooted at the spot as Maximus' words shocked her.

“Our.. our!?” Anita stuttered. Maximus turned around and faced her with a smile on his face.

“Did you think I am heartless as to take your family's company and then leave you to fend for yourself?” Maximus asked her.

“But you paid for it fair and square.” Anita clarified.

“Come on in with me Anita, let's go check our new home.” Maximus repeated and went in as if he did not hear her.

“So what route do you wish to take in the business world?” Anita asked Maximus as she caught up to him. Maximus pondered a bit on this, in all honesty he didn't even have any business ideas, he was just doing this to complete the task the system gave him, besides it was also enjoyable to be in control of his life, do whatever he wanted and buy whatever he desired, but when he comes to business ideas? He got nothing. His main focus was still on revenge.

“To be honest, I don't have any idea what I want the company venture into, I guess I will just dabble into everything then.” Maximus shrugged as he replied.

“Huh!? That is absurd!” Anita could not help but exclaim, how can someone be this carefree?

“I will help. I used to attend business conferences with my Father, I have some ideas on what will bring the company fame and profit.” Anita said with a smile.

“See, I knew Fate brought us together for a reason.” He smiled at her while staring at the beautiful fountain.

Maximus, Anita and her mother had finally moved into the Dragonborn Villa. Maximus called a construction company to work on his company building, which he named: Dovahkiin Corporation. Anita's ideas were also amazing as she opted for Maximus' idea of dabbling into all sorts of business areas. The first floor to tenth floor was to be use as a music studio just as Anita's Father had used it, Maximus didn't change anything on this floor as all the equipments were of top notch quality. The eleventh floor to twentieth was to be use as hotel. The twenty first to thirtieth floor was to be used as trade center for those who wishes to trade exotic treasures, in other words the twenty first to thirtieth floor were all auction mini house. Then the thirty first to fortieth floor was left to the logistics department as Maximus plans to employ a lot of talents to work for him. Maximus didn't know anything about the business world, so he left Anita in charge of the company's affairs.

[TWO WEEKS LATER]

The company was set to open the next day. Maximus had spent the last two weeks fixing the company and recruiting capable talents. He had given all his jewelries to his employees handling the auction mini houses. Anita had recruited a few upcoming music talents that had worked with her Father, while Maximus had personally interviewed the new logistics employees, he was satisfied with Anita's capability. Now all that was left was to open its doors to the public.

“Do you believe we are ready?” Anita asked Maximus as they ate at the dinning table in Maximus' villa. Anita had prepared the food, although the numerous chef he had hired had worked hard to make several exotic dishes, Maximus just couldn't get used to seeing several rich dishes at once, he did appreciate the fact they had delicious tastes.

“I do, don't you?” He asked her as he scooped a spoonful of basmati rice sauced with gravy.

“If you believe the Dovahkiin Corporation is ready, then it is. I believe in you.” she smiled.

“Don't bother yourself about anything dearest Anita, soon those who looked down on us will have no choice but to look up to us.” he said. Anita saw the look of sadness in his eyes and held his hand, squeezing it a bit to reassure him.

“No matter what you have passed through, I am here now, as long as we have each other, then we have no reason to fear the world.” she said with a sweet smile. Maximus returned the smile.

“You are right. Back in my hometown I was useless and weak, I lost my mother and my world became even darker, my father never wanted anything to do with me because I was nothing but an Illegitimate child to him, but you know what's worse?. Coming here, I have realized that I can be so much more than what I was, I can achieve much more than what my father ever achieved, and when I have gotten more powerful than even the most powerful person in Yorkshire? I will return to shove all their insults back at their faces, and I will also take over the Zenith Family as it is rightfully mine. Anita, it does not matter what the world may think of you, what truly matters is what you think of yourself. As for me? I will become the most powerful man on earth.” Maximus said with confidence oozing out of his tone, Anita smiled, although she still couldn't believe that Maximus was once a member of one of the most powerful family in Yorkshire, the Zenith Family, nevertheless, she had vowed to support him. Just then the emotionless metallic voice of the system relayed a message in Maximus' head.

“Side task: Make friends in high places. Host can not exert much influence if he doesn't have influential friends. Host is now tasked to make connections with influential families at the opening of Dovahkiin Corporation.

Reward: Location of the facility where host was killed.

Time limit: forty eight hours.

Penalty for failure: Loss of the Dovahkiin Corporation company building.”

“YOU GOTTA BE FUCKEN KIDDING ME!!” Maximus roared in his mind.
