The Aftermath

The planet was in rubble.

Due to the nuclear attack from the Xollante, the Earth's core became weakened. The most affected part of the Earth which was in the South Pole was completely destroyed. The Xollante had launched that attack to get themselves free of the space ships which was bothering them, but what they didn't expect was for the most important part of the world to be in such a complete mess. Apparently, the launcher had made a mistake, and attacked the South Pole instead of the North. They needed the South.

The once blue sky turned a gloomy shade of grey as if mourning the calamity that has befallen Earth, and everytime one steps outside, ashes drift down on the ground like snow flakes. The world power house was no where to be found, and this appeared to be a great loss on the Xollante's side.

The Xollante had landed their massive and advanced technology space ships on the rubble. They landed in millions, each one carrying an offspring and beasts to multiply on Earth. They even brought their monster plants.

The Xollante is a super intelligent race and they have advanced so much in their technology. Based on this, they planned to create a safe atmosphere for their plants to grow, their beasts to breed, and for themselves to reproduce rapidly.

They are here to colonize Earth.

But after a while, the unexpected happened...

Few months after the nuclear blast, another disaster occurred. This one affected the whole planet.

The Earth's core has been weakened from the blast and it was on the verge of splitting completely, unknown to the Xollante. Then suddenly on a bright morning, there was a massive earthquake that shook the whole planet. The Earth split open from the core, and just like that, Earth was no longer a sphere.

Earth was split into hundreds of pieces. Large chunks of the world scattered all over in different directions. More than half the population did not survive this disaster.

The Xollante had already scattered into different parts of the Earth before the disaster. So after the split, the population of the aliens wasn't concentrated in one area anymore, but most of them still camped where they landed, at the Southern Earth.

78 years has passed after the disastrous transformation of Earth. The Xollante dominated the South, while the humans dominated the North. Hundreds of other poles from the East and West also stayed, but there was no proper habitats there. The only humans that could be seen in these broken places are space adventurers who are either looking for some precious stones to forge weapons and create machines, or to kill alien beasts for other uses.

The part dominated by the aliens is called planet Xo by the humans while the part dominated by the surviving humans remains planet Earth. This name for Earth remains because humans still hoped they can cleanse the whole realm of the aliens and reunite the fragments again. Earth was united under one goal, and that was to exterminate the Xollantes. Well, the Xollante cared less about any of the faith humanity has in reuniting Earth. They only want to dominate and exploit Earth's resources.

By mass, Earth was bigger than Xo. And by resources, Earth also has abundance of it. And this has infuriated the aliens the more. They came to Earth for the resources and now that they've destroyed the South with their nuclear weapons, they can only have little of the resources there.

So, after 10 years, the Xollantes had attacked Northern Earth.

And that was when planet Luxus intervened...

Apparently, they have been travelling fast to Earth for about 20 years, after getting the idea that the Xollantes are going to attack Earth. Many beings from Luxus are supernatural, and they have tried to send messages to Earth with means faster than their space ships but there has been no luck with that. It was a devastating blow to the Luxus army when they saw that Earth has been conquered and almost destroyed completely. They blamed this disaster on their technology that seemed substandard to the Xollantes'. If only they had communicated well with someone from Earth with the uncommon interstellar communication quirk. Well, they had but it was a small boy who didn't know what to do. Hence, Earth's doom.

The connection Luxus has with Earth started Millions of years ago. Luxus was an uninhabited planet before the first space explorers from Earth discovered it. They found that life forms from Earth could reproduce well on the planet, and instantly the first men landed there. But what these explorers didn't know was that the planet Luxus has mutation attributes. After a while, the humans on the planet started showing strange signs of superhuman abilities. One of them was the space communication quirk.

Others show superhuman strength, while others just got unexplainable upgrades to their natural human abilities. Someone that has a good sense of smell as a human can suddenly smell things from miles away. Runners got speed upgrades. Loud people got destructive voices. Overall, humans found these new development of abilities desirable. So, they sent more men into the planet to get power upgrades and breed children with even better quirks. Humans found this could help the planet when aliens come attacking Earth. Superhumans could be the missing piece Earth needs all these while.

But the humans of Luxus never returned to Earth. Why? Earth's atmosphere suddenly became poisonous to them. This was the history between Earth and Luxus.

But after Xollante has conquered Earth and wanted to take over the Northern Earth again, Luxus intervened. Luxus has finally discovered an aid that allows them breath in Earth's air without dying. They then became Earth's last saviour... The main reason they were bred on Luxus.

And so, Luxus beings stopped Xollante from taking over the North. Their technology isn't equal to the Xollante's yet, but they had the number to subdue the Xollante army. And now, they are camped on Northern Earth with the humans, as the Earth's Avengers.
