Aiden nodded and got onto the scooter and the man drove away. The man driving the scooter had a frown on his face.
Though he couldn't believe that Aiden was going to have the money to buy the company, it was none of his business. He had already called the owner and told him that he had gotten a buyer. He had already been paid, so he couldn't care less if the other party was going to be able to buy the company. Soon, the two arrived at a rather magnificent building. The building looked huge and one of the most beautiful in the area. Aiden was shocked in his heart seeing this. All he thought was that the company he was about to buy was just a small company. He didn't expect the company to be this huge. What the heck was happening? He wasn't going to care anyway. All he wanted was to acquire a company. Stopping the scooter, the man alighted from it and so did Aiden. Just by the gate of the huge building was a medium-height figure in a Tang suit looking like he had been waiting for the two. "Mr. Dominic, this is the man who wants to buy the company." The man introduced himself and then continued. "I'll be taking my leave." He then turned around and walked away even before Dominic was able to say anything. "Good afternoon Mr. Dominic." Aiden greeted, stretching his hands forward for a handshake. Dominic narrowed his brows as he stared at Aiden for a while. At first, he thought that it was a second rich generation who was willing to buy the company just for fun. But after seeing it was Aiden and how the latter was dressed, he realized that it might not be the case, and thus, he felt reluctant. It was not as though he didn't want to sell the company, but there were underlying issues with it. "Young man, are you sure you want to pursue the company?" Dominic narrowed his brows as he looked at Aiden. Aiden was a little bit confused hearing what Dominic said. If he didn't want to purchase the company, he wouldn't be here in the first place. "Yes I would like to," Aiden answered, sounding rather impatient. Dominic felt a little bit confused hearing Aiden's tone. He could tell that the latter was rather impatient as if he couldn't wait to buy the company straight away. He wondered why the latter was in a hurry and he couldn't help but take a second look at Aiden. "But..." "Isn't the company up for sale?" Aiden interrupted Dominic, his brows narrowing into a thin line. "Yes, it is." Dominic was shocked in his heart wondering why Aiden was sounding impatient. "Then we can begin the process." Aiden nodded, feeling rather unsatisfied with Dominic. "I know you're rather in a hurry, but there's something I would like to tell you first." Dominic sighed, feeling rather helpless. He couldn't understand what was wrong with Aiden and why the latter sounded so impatient. "Then get on with it," Aiden scoffed, his voice turning cold as he was getting rather impatient. He didn't mean to be rude, but the other party was delaying him. If they knew that they didn't want to sell the company to him, then they should have just said it. There was no need to waste his time. He only had twenty-four hours and he couldn't afford to waste it. "Fine." Dominic agreed and began. "I have to tell you, about ten years ago, this company was the number one snack company in the whole of Oakridge, and it was worth over five hundred million." "But then we invented a new snack and then it went wrong. We don't know where the product went wrong, but the snack happened to cause the death of many, and as a result, we were forced to close down." Dominic sighed. Aiden frowned after hearing this. Some years ago, he heard about this incident, but since it had nothing to do with him, he didn't take it seriously. It turned out that this was the company. But still, he couldn't care less about it and wanted the company anyway. After all, his life depended on it. "I'm sure we were plotted against, as many of our staff took the snack, and nothing happened to them. But we were not able to beat the allegations." Dominic continued. "We were forced to stop the production of the snack resulting in a huge loss. At the same time, the rest of our products were sabotaged and there was nothing we could do about it. That's why we are in this state." "So young man I'm afraid you'll just be wasting your money if you are to buy the company. So I'd advise you to go to another place." Dominic concluded. Aiden narrowed his brows as he looked at Dominic, though he was rather shocked when he heard this. He couldn't care less about it. He still wanted the company. "Even the owner of the company has forsaken the company and asked me to put it up for sale." Dominic sighed, observing Aiden's expression as he spoke. "It would be better if you don't dabble your hands into stuff you might not be able to handle." "After all, the people behind the fall of the company are not ordinary, so I think It would be safe not to buy it," Dominic added. "I understand your concerns. But I think I'm interested in the fall of the company and what happened, so I'm still willing to purchase the company." Aiden forced a smile. Though he was interested, he was still running for his life, so he didn't care. "I...." "Mr Dominic, I'm afraid that you won't be able to change my mind. So I think you should just give up." Aiden interrupted Dominic. Dominic sighed seeing that he was not able to convince Aiden. Since that was the case, he was going to have no other choice but to listen to the other party. "Alright, I'll sell the company to you." "Congratulations Mr. Aiden, the company is now yours." Dominic smiled, stretching his hands forward for a handshake. "But I have not paid for the company?" Aiden was a little confused, so he looked at Dominic. "You don't have to worry about that." Dominic shook his head. "Though all I said was not a lie, I'm the owner of the company, and I'm not willing to let the company go down, so I'd like to work with you." "Don't worry, I won't blame you if you were not able to revive the company," Dominic added. "I see," Aiden muttered, not wanting to agree, but he had no other choice. "Fine then, I agree with it." He forced a smile and took the handshake. "Ding!" "Mission Accomplished. The Snack Shack company is now the Hosts'' " The mechanical voice of the System rang just immediately after Aiden agreed.Latest Chapter
Why Should He Have It
"Yes...yes ma'am, that's the case," the soldier stuttered, nodding, not daring to say the truth. There was no way he would dare say the truth after witnessing Aiden's skills. Well, that was if he didn't want his life."Good, good," Scarlett grinned, walking forward and patting the soldier's shoulders.Though she didn't know how he had done it, she assumed he had caught them off guard and thus everything was easy. The others seemed to think like this and thus didn't ask any questions.Well, they would have nearly lost their mind if they knew what really happened. At the moment, Justin had quite a scowl on his face but didn't say anything. The credit had been taken away by someone under him, this was unacceptable.Though he was still going to get some of it, but it was still not going to be as much as that of the soldier, after all, Scarlett and Scott were not going to let him change the narrative."Let's step outside and let the soldiers search the building," Scarlett commanded, turni
Giving Credit
The five men approaching instantly opened fire on Aiden the moment he dashed forward.Aiden grinned and continued to move. He couldn't be bothered to shield his body with Qi. He was now impervious to knives and bullets. Only a higher range of fire power could harm him.Well, that would last until he got to the Nascent Soul Realm. Once he was in that Realm, nothing would be able to harm him.The men watched in horror as the bullets bounced off Aiden's skin. Before they could recover, Aiden had already gotten to them.Grabbing the nearest one, he pulled him closer and with an uppercut, he sent him flying. He then moved, arriving instantly before the second one and elbowed his jaws before grabbing his gun and hitting him on the head.By now, the remaining three had come back to their senses and began to shoot at Aiden again spradoically. Now, he was in a closer range, so they didn't believe the bullets wouldn't be able to pierce him.But that was all their imagination. The moment the bul
Don't Act
The soldier wasted no time and spun to his right, accurately shooting the criminal."Another behind me," Aiden continued, pointing behind him.And sure enough, there seemed to be a small passage, and there was a man slowly approaching as though to catch Aiden, who was sitting off guard."To your left," Aiden said again, even before the soldier to rest easy.At this point, the soldier stopped doubting Aiden and began to follow his orders. Though he didn't know how Aiden was able to identify their location. He didn't care and continued to take them down with Aiden instructing him. It was as though Aiden had eyes all around and was able to see through. After a while, Aiden finally stopped giving orders, which made the soldier breathe in a sigh of relief. The criminals were starting to get much, and with only him, he wasn't sure if he would be able to keep up."Let's go, I've spotted the leader," Aiden suddenly stood, preparing to leave."Huh?" The soldier froze, not believing his ears."
Ask Less Questions
"Hey, Stinky doctor," One of the special force soldiers waved at Aiden the moment he alighted from the sir."Sir..." Scott swallowed, feeling rather helpless at the situation, hoping Aiden wouldn't take it to heart."You don't have to worry, I won't react rashly," Aiden chuckled, putting his hands into his pockets while walking towards the soldiers.Hearing this, Scott breathed in a sigh of relief, then rushed towards Scarlett waiting for him.The plan was to seal off all escape routes, then have Alexander and Justin go into the house with Scott and Scarlett backing them up.The special force soldiers would come in, in groups advancing slowly and in case of a shootout, they would be able to directly help the others. The plan was simple but effective.Aiden, on the other hand, walked towards the soldiers who seemed to have a mocking smile all over their faces.Saying he was not going to act rashly didn't mean he wasn't going to teach them a lesson. He would teach them a full-blown less
Julius
Minutes later the taxi pulled up before a police station. Paying the driver, Aiden alighted from the taxi and stared at the building.Just right outside the station were three vans. Special force officers stood beside the van, fully armed, prepared to get into the van.By the side were four distinct figures: Scarlett, Scott, Alexander, and one other man whom Aiden didn't recognize."Do we have to wait for that stinky doctor?""Do you realize we would be punished if those criminals escape right under our noses all because you all are waiting for a stinky brat?" The man, Julius, whom Aiden didn't recognize, suddenly spoke, sounding rather impatient."I..." Scott wanted to explain, when he raised his head and saw Aiden approaching them.Seeing them, he shook his head and smiled bitterly. He was sure the latter heard this and could only hope he was not annoyed."Dr. Aiden," Scott called quickly, hoping Julius would stop his arrogant remark.Well, that didn't work as Julius stepped forward
Scott's Call
(The Next Day)The sound of a phone ringing forced Aiden to open his eyes, interrupting his Cultivation. He had been cultivating all night and had made quite a progress. He was now at the middle-stage Golden Core Realm, which was all thanks to the Qi-gathering Array he had set up.It was quite helpful, so Aiden was happy.Glancing at the Caller's ID, he realized it was Dominic."Good morning, sir," Dominic's harsh voice came from the other end of the phone the moment Aiden answered the call."Morning, old man, how are you doing?""I'm fine, sir," Dominic answered then continued,"Sir, we have quite a few orders from some retailers and wholesalers," Dominic reported, stating the real purpose he had called. There was no need to talk about other things. He knew Aiden didn't like wasting time on stuff like that and just went straight to the point."How many boxes?" Aiden asked after a while,"They requested thirty boxes each.""That's quite a lot," Aiden muttered, taken aback with the qua
