"Host now has a company." The mechanical voice came again and Aiden couldn't help but breathe in a sigh of relief.

He didn't know he was going to be able to tell the System that the company was given to him.

But it seemed like that was none of the System's problem, and it just counted it directly.

"Host has received ten million dollars and a skill." The mechanical voice sounded again and the next moment, Aiden's phone beeped.

Checking, he saw the alert of the ten million and couldn't help but smile.

"Skill would be uploaded into the host memory." The mechanical voice came again, and the next moment, a light screen appeared in front of Aiden reading.

"Skill uploading...."

In front of it was a percentage bar which read 2% out of a hundred.

Soon, the percentage bar got to a hundred and the mechanical voice sounded.

"Skill uploaded."

Aiden felt a warm stream of energy flow into his head. Instantly, information poured in like a flowing stream.

After a while, the stream of information stopped and Aiden had his mouth open. Even an egg could fit in at this moment.

"Sir, what's wrong?" Dominic's concerned voice came, pulling Aiden out of his thoughts.

"Nothing.." Aiden shook his head, a smile playing out on his lips.

At the moment, he could be said to be the best food expert in the world.

What the system had given him was the process and formula for different kinds of food and snacks.

Some of them even had healing properties. Some could cure certain levels of diseases and many others.

The formula was so much that if he was to sit and begin to write It down, he was not going to finish writing all of the formula even if he was to spend the entire day on it.

There were even some that he was sure wouldn't be able to find the ingredients easily. It would most likely cost a fortune.

Well, this was good, there was no need to panic. With the ten million the System had given him and the remaining money from the last mission, he was sure that he would be able to do something reasonable.

"I don't think this place is the right place to talk; let's head in," Dominic suggested, and Aiden agreed.

He couldn't wait to try out the formulas and see what was going to happen.

"Sir, who's that?" A feminine voice sounded just as they stepped into the company.

"You can address him as Mr. Aiden, he's the new owner of the company." Dominic smiled, introducing Aiden to the lady who was sitting at the desk.

"New owner?" The lady looked at Dominic and then at Aiden. The disbelief in her eyes was well written and she looked like she was about to tell Dominic that he was lying.

"Anyways, you'll get to know him better later, there's a lot we need to do." Dominic chuckled, seeing that the lady was unable to snap out of her shock.

"That's the receptionist of the company," Dominic stated as he walked into his office.

"But I thought you said that you laid off all the workers?" Aiden was stunned and looked at Dominic.

He had thought that maybe she was someone related to him or so. But hearing that she was the company's receptionist, he couldn't hide his amazement.

"Well, when I was laying off the others and compensating them after the incident. She was the only one that refused to leave, saying it was until I sold it off before she would quit completely." Dominic chuckled, sounding rather helpless.

"If that's the case, are you paying her?" Aiden narrowed his brows.

"Nope, I've not been paying her and she never for once asked me to pay." Dominic shook his head, gratitude all over his voice.

"Tell her I would like her to be my assistant." Aiden thought for a while and then said before collapsing on the sofa.

"Huh?" Dominic was stunned as he couldn't believe his ears.

"But..."

"You don't have to worry. I can see the reason why she chose to stay," Aiden waved his hands, interrupting Dominic.

"If it was not for her, then this place wouldn't be as clean as this. Or would I say, she's now a cleaner and is working for free."

Dominic nodded hearing what Aiden said. Though the lady was not able to keep all of the company clean, she was able to make the first floor, which he had turned into his office, clean.

He had in mind to look for a way to repay her, but he wasn't expecting Aiden to say she should be his assistant.

Though he wasn't sure if Aiden was a second rich generation or not, from the way the latter was, he was not like the others he had met.

But he was sure of one thing. Her life was about to become better and that was a good thing

"Old man, you're zoning out, that's not what we need to discuss." Aiden's chuckle sounded as he snapped his fingers, bringing back Dominic to his senses.

"Sorry about that." Dominic forced a smile and looked at Aiden wondering what he wanted to say.

He still wasn't sure how the latter wanted to do it. He knew the ones who were responsible for the downfall of his company, but he was too powerless to do anything to them.

Also, he had deliberately kept it from Aiden and yet he didn't ask about it.

Even if he had asked, there was no way he was going to tell him. If he was going to tell Aiden, then at least, he wanted to see a chance of success in fighting back should they be attacked again.

But that was going too far; how were they going to be able to get court approval to reopen the company?

"What are the things we need if we want to bring the company back into business?" Aiden's voice tore through the thick silence, pulling out Dominic of his thoughts.

(The Next Day)The sound of a phone ringing forced Aiden to open his eyes, interrupting his Cultivation. He had been cultivating all night and had made quite a progress. He was now at the middle-stage Golden Core Realm, which was all thanks to the Qi-gathering Array he had set up.It was quite helpful, so Aiden was happy.Glancing at the Caller's ID, he realized it was Dominic."Good morning, sir," Dominic's harsh voice came from the other end of the phone the moment Aiden answered the call."Morning, old man, how are you doing?""I'm fine, sir," Dominic answered then continued,"Sir, we have quite a few orders from some retailers and wholesalers," Dominic reported, stating the real purpose he had called. There was no need to talk about other things. He knew Aiden didn't like wasting time on stuff like that and just went straight to the point."How many boxes?" Aiden asked after a while,"They requested thirty boxes each.""That's quite a lot," Aiden muttered, taken aback with the qua

  • Elena's Call

"Finally done," Aiden breathed a sigh of relief, collapsing on the sofa while wiping away the sweat on his forehead. He had been working nonstop since morning. First, he arranged an Array at Snack Shack, and then at the farm. The Array he arranged at the farm was more complex. The range of the farm was wider, so there was no way he could make a simple Qi gathering Array. That wouldn't work, right? After that, he headed to Benjamin's house and placed one there; then he visited Dominic's place and also added another there. Finally, he headed back home and arranged another one. But that was not the end of his job. Apart from the Qi gathering Array, he also had to set up the time accelerating Array in a chosen spot where he wanted to cultivate some herbs.Setting up the time accelerating Array was far more tedious, and even though the men had helped out during the process, he was still very tired. But then, everything was completed; all he needed now was to start planting the herbs, and i

  • Brother You're Hopeless

Hours later Aiden and Kayla laid on the hard, while Scar and Doc sat on the hard concrete, all panting heavily. They were all covered in sweat as they tried to catch their breath. The sun also slowly rose from the horizon, illuminating everywhere and dispelling the cold in the air."Kayla, go get ready, you'll be starting school today," Aiden announced, standing up from where he was laying walking over to Scar and Doc unsealing their Cultivations."But brother...." Kayla pouted, sitting up, feeling rather unwilling. She was comfortable staying at home because she didn't want to go anywhere."You're tired right?" Aiden chuckled, stopping before Kayla and squatting as he stared at her."Exactly, brother," Kayla nodded hurriedly, her eyes brightened,"You see brother, we just finished training, so I'm really tired, you too need to take some rest, we can discuss this some other time," "Isn't that right?" Kayla blinked, staring at Aiden who wore a smile."That seems like a valid argument

  • Training

(The Next Day)"Brother, why do you have to wake me up so early, what did I ever do to you," Kayla mumbled, puffing her cheeks walking out of her room, dressed in nightgowns, rubbing her messy hair."Who asked you to sleep late the night before," Aiden scoffed, rolling his eyes at his spoiled sister before tossing her a leather bag."Get dressed, we are going to start training with Scar today," Aiden announced, his voice leaving no room for any refusal."But brother, didn't you say I would only start training when I advance to the Core Formation Realm I'm yet to break through," Kayla pouted, trying to give a reason."Really?" Aiden broke out into a smile staring at his sister. When it came to Cultivation, he was the last person she would want to lie to. Apart from the fact that he was stronger than her and could see through her realm, even if she had surpassed him, he would have been able to tell her realm without much problem."Yes brother," Kayla grinned, nodding hurriedly."Then wh

(Thompson Family Villa)"Cheers,"Inside the sitting room sat Jake, his face filled with smiles as he raised his glass at Lucas who was sitting across him."We've finally gotten rid of that menace," Jake chuckled loudly, his eyes flashing with a glint as he downed the contents of his glass."Soon, we'll let everyone in Oakridge know that we are not to be crossed," Lucas chipped in, nodding at Jake's words. That night at the bar, he and Jake surprisingly hit off. Their level of enmity against Aiden was so much that they couldn't think of any way to get back at him other than to end his petty life..This was what they thought and they acted on it. With resources at their disposal, they hired an assassin. Now, all they were waiting for was a call from the Assassin to inform them of his success. They were sure Aiden would now be chilling with the Lord of the underworld at the moment."And that bitch called Elsa," Jake gritted his teeth, clenching the wine glass in his hands tightly."You

  • The Culprits

Elsa whispered as she looked at Doc who was sitting beside her, his eyes darting around."He seemed to have found the person who shot the gun and went after them," Doc answered, also wondering where Aiden went."But that's dangerous?" Elsa said, as she still curled up like a ball hoping Aiden was safe.He should have let them run away. Why did he try to go after the killer? Also, who did he offend that made them want to end him. With all of these summing up, she believed firmly he was a second rich generation. After all, according to her view, he was not supposed to have any enemies yet. Even if he were to have enemies, it would still take some time as Snack Shack was yet to launch her products."Don't worry, Sir Aiden would be fine," Doc reassured, still high in alert. With Aiden's strength, he was sure it would be a piece of cake for him to take care of the assassin."Doc," Aiden's voice suddenly came, followed by a knock on the door.Immediately, Doc unlocked the d
