"Sir, sign here," The doctor pointed at a place on the paper asking Aiden to sign.

"Also here," He continued after Aiden signed the papers pointing at another spot.

"Thank you very much, we'll commence with the operation soon," The doctor smiled and then walked away quickly to arrange for the operation.

Aiden sighed and walked to his sister's ward. Looking at the weak and skinny girl on the bed, he couldn't help but shake his head and his eyes became red.

"Brother." A weak voice called just as Aiden reached his sister's side.

"Kayla, " Aiden forced a smile holding his sister's bony hands while caressing them slowly.

His sister had been sick since she was little and their parents were not rich enough to afford the operation. After they had passed away in the ghastly accident, the task of taking care of her had fallen upon him.

Her condition had gotten worse and she had been hospitalized. Because he couldn't afford the money for a full treatment, the hospital could only help give just a minimal treatment.

Also, he had no other choice but to work overtime most times just to be able to make ends meet.

"You'll be fine, Kayla." Aiden consoled, looking at his sister. He had already paid for her surgery and had also made arrangements for her ward to be changed after everything.

"But brother..." Kayla called Aiden, her eyes red as tears threatened to flow down from them.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine." Aiden interrupted, caressing her hands.

He knew what she was thinking, but he didn't say anything. After all, he also didn't know the origin of the system.

After a while, the doctors soon came and wheeled Kayla into the theater room while Aiden watched.

Heaving a sigh, Aiden shook his head and walked away. There was no need for him to stay any longer. He still needed to buy a company.

He had spent just five million dollars out of a hundred Million dollars and was still left with ninety-five million.

He didn't know where to start. He was just as confused as ever. How was he going to buy a company?

He had to think of a way, but no matter how much he racked his brain, he just couldn't come up with a solution.

Aiden panicked, but there was nothing he could do. His time was running out and he needed to buy a company, but he couldn't see a company out for sale.

"Take a deep breath." He muttered under his breath and brought out his phone.

Aiden then searched the number of companies that were up for sale. Scrolling through G****e, Aiden was discouraged. What the heck was he seeing?

All the companies he was seeing were over a hundred million. How the heck was he supposed to be able to buy a company?

Aiden stood on the stop and wouldn't stop scrolling. He knew he was doomed if he didn't find something suitable.

In a flash, an hour was gone, and Aiden was still scrolling through G****e, trying to find a company up for sale, but he couldn't find even a single one, and this made him depressed.

He was not ready to die yet, so he had to find a company, no matter what it was going to take.

After a while, Aiden still couldn't find a company. The least company he could find was a hundred million dollars, and he had already spent some of the money to care for his sister.

It seemed like he was going to have to die because he didn't know what to do next. After that, he was a little bit helpless and had no idea what to do next.

Just as Aiden was about to stop searching, his eyes suddenly caught something and he froze.

"The Snack Shack Company is up for sale at the price of fifty Million Dollars," The advertisement by the side read.

Seeing this, Aiden was immediately interested; after all, he had been looking for a company, so he clicked on it.

The page loaded and it took him to a different site where it read. For more information, contact the number below.

Then there was a number right under it making Aiden smile widely.

There was no way he was going to give up on this. He was going to get this company.

After all, he didn't want to die. As for what the company produced or what it was all about, he didn't care and just wanted to buy the company for the sake of avoiding death.

After all, he was going to die in the next twenty-four hours if he didn't buy a company.

Copying the number, he proceeded to call the other party, and soon the call went through, and it was picked.

"Hello, who's this?" A hoarse voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Hi, I saw the advertisement for the sale of The Snack Shack company and would like to purchase it," Aiden replied, he could feel his heart pounding against his chest.

"Text me your location; I will come to pick you up. I'm just an agent and don't own the company, I'll take you to the owner of the company." The hoarse voice replied.

"Sure." Aiden nodded and then ended the call.

Then he texted the other party his location while he waited. He was not afraid of being scammed.

He was not a fool and knew well what he was doing, so there was no way he was going to follow the other party blindly.

Soon, an old scooter, driven by a tall, lanky man who had a rugged look on his face, stopped in front of Aiden.

"Are you Aiden Sinclair?" The man asked, gazing at Aiden with a frown on his face.

"Yes, I am." Aiden nodded without any hesitation.

The man looked at Aiden for a while scrunching his brows as he looked at him, but after a while, he said,

"Hop on, I'll take you to the owner of the company." The man said.

(The Next Day)"Brother, why do you have to wake me up so early, what did I ever do to you," Kayla mumbled, puffing her cheeks walking out of her room, dressed in nightgowns, rubbing her messy hair."Who asked you to sleep late the night before," Aiden scoffed, rolling his eyes at his spoiled sister before tossing her a leather bag."Get dressed, we are going to start training with Scar today," Aiden announced, his voice leaving no room for any refusal."But brother, didn't you say I would only start training when I advance to the Core Formation Realm I'm yet to break through," Kayla pouted, trying to give a reason."Really?" Aiden broke out into a smile staring at his sister. When it came to Cultivation, he was the last person she would want to lie to. Apart from the fact that he was stronger than her and could see through her realm, even if she had surpassed him, he would have been able to tell her realm without much problem."Yes brother," Kayla grinned, nodding hurriedly."Then wh

(Thompson Family Villa)"Cheers,"Inside the sitting room sat Jake, his face filled with smiles as he raised his glass at Lucas who was sitting across him."We've finally gotten rid of that menace," Jake chuckled loudly, his eyes flashing with a glint as he downed the contents of his glass."Soon, we'll let everyone in Oakridge know that we are not to be crossed," Lucas chipped in, nodding at Jake's words. That night at the bar, he and Jake surprisingly hit off. Their level of enmity against Aiden was so much that they couldn't think of any way to get back at him other than to end his petty life..This was what they thought and they acted on it. With resources at their disposal, they hired an assassin. Now, all they were waiting for was a call from the Assassin to inform them of his success. They were sure Aiden would now be chilling with the Lord of the underworld at the moment."And that bitch called Elsa," Jake gritted his teeth, clenching the wine glass in his hands tightly."You

  • The Culprits

"Where's Aiden?" Elsa whispered as she looked at Doc who was sitting beside her, his eyes darting around."He seemed to have found the person who shot the gun and went after them," Doc answered, also wondering where Aiden went."But that's dangerous?" Elsa said, as she still curled up like a ball hoping Aiden was safe.He should have let them run away. Why did he try to go after the killer? Also, who did he offend that made them want to end him. With all of these summing up, she believed firmly he was a second rich generation. After all, according to her view, he was not supposed to have any enemies yet. Even if he were to have enemies, it would still take some time as Snack Shack was yet to launch her products."Don't worry, Sir Aiden would be fine," Doc reassured, still high in alert. With Aiden's strength, he was sure it would be a piece of cake for him to take care of the assassin."Doc," Aiden's voice suddenly came, followed by a knock on the door.Immediately, Doc unlocked the d

"Hehehehe," The man burst out into laughter there hearing what Aiden said, his eyes held in disgust as he looked down on Aiden."Do you really think I would believe your bluffs?" He scoffed, while still managing to laugh."We'll see about that," Aiden shrugged. He wasn't in a hurry to teach the man a lesson, not at all. After all, he had the upper hand, and when one had the upper hand, there was no need to squabble with someone like him."Where's the pain you were talking about?" The man scoffed, staring at Aiden seeing that there was no pain."You're in a rush ain't you?" Aiden grinned, patting the man's shoulder, at the same time, injecting a strand of his Qi into the man's body to stimulate the poison."I know you're a liar.....""Arghhhh!"A low guttural roar came from the man as he screamed harder than the first time, veins popping out of his head. The veins on his neck could be seen which was a testament of just how much he was yelling. The scream continued for about a minute or

Crash! The windscreen of the car came crashing the moment Aiden finished talking, the bullet lodged into the seat just right where Aiden's head was a few minutes ago showing whoever had shot the bullet had gone directly for a headshot. But Doc was a bit fast, and thus was able to react just as Aiden had commanded.Coupled with the fact that he had reduced the acceleration of the car, it was easier to stop the car and duck at the same time. The car came to a stop with a loud screeching sound. Since there were no cars on the road, the sudden stop of the car didn't cause any accidents."Doc, stay right here and protect Elsa, I'll be back soon," Aiden commanded, opening the door of the car, disappearing into the darkness.Seeing this, Doc instantly jumped to the back while Elsa made room for him, at the same time, he pulled out a blade, his eyes darting around like an owl looking for its prey.Aiden on the other hand moved quickly in the darkness, his eyes like a torch. • Doc, Duck!

Hawk and Knox watched as Aiden left the man. At the same time, they felt even greater respect for Aiden.Instead of maybe making the man pay by beating him up, he was making him help the farmers instead. That was really noble of him.The man on the other hand felt a wave of relief wash over him the moment Aiden turned around to leave. In his view, Aiden was far scarier than Hawk and Knox. He was the boss, so he was far stronger. Though he didn't look like it, at the moment, he believed Aiden was far stronger than he looked."Let's go," Knox growled, grabbing the man by the collar before dragging him away, not caring if the man was able to stand or not."Well done," Elsa gave Aiden a thumbs up the moment he walked into the factory.Though she didn't see when the man had tried to attack Aiden she saw how scared the man was and also faintly heard the threat Aiden made to the man."Well that was nothing, I just had to teach him a bit of a lesson," Aiden shrugged following Elsa to her offi
