Instantly, Aiden felt his world come crashing to the floor. Everything was over in just how many minutes.

It was not even up to an hour, yet he was doomed.

First, he was fired for no reason and was also accused of stealing money he didn't know about. Then his girlfriend also broke up with him.

Now his sister's health was declining rapidly. What was he going to do?

How was he going to be able to pay for her treatment? No one would be willing to borrow a penniless man like him money. How was he going to do it?

"Alright sir, I'll be there soon," Aiden responded and then ended the call.

At the moment, he was at a dead end and didn't know what else he was going to do.

The world was already against him and he had nothing else again. How was he going to survive this?

A voice rang in Aiden's head before he could do anything.

"Huh? What's that?" Aiden muttered and looked around, not knowing what else to do.

"Activation complete, launching System." The voice rang once again.

"Aren't I going to be a little bit crazy?" Aiden muttered, his gaze darting around for the source of the voice, but he couldn't find anything.

There was no one around, so it meant that no one was playing a trick on him.

Before Aiden could think too much, the voice sounded again.

"Launching System."

"Welcome to the Empire Building System. Dedicated to creating the largest Empire ever seen."

Aiden froze, not Knowing what to do. What the heck was this? He had to be dreaming, there was no way this was real.

Raising his hand, Aiden hit himself, he believed he was in a bad dream and thus wanted to wake up.

"Ouch!" He yelped as he realized that it was real.

He was not dreaming. Looking back at the transparent screen in front of him, Aiden didn't know what to do and just stared blankly.

His heart pumped against its chest as if it were trying to find a way out of his chest at all costs.

"Ding! New mission alert" The mechanical voice rang in Aiden's head, and the next moment, a screen appeared.

"Be a company owner in the next twenty-four hours.

Penalty: Death.

The screen read and Aiden's eyes almost popped due to shock as he couldn't believe his eyes. How the heck was he supposed to buy a company when he didn't have any funds?

And the penalty was even death? Though he didn't want to believe in this mysterious thing, he knew that there was nothing he could do about it; he didn't want to die yet.

Many thoughts rang in Aiden's head and soon, he heard the mechanical voice again.

"Ding! The host has received a hundred Million."

Aiden's eyes widened in shock as he couldn't believe his ears. Hundred Million? Who the heck was this mysterious thing kidding?

He was going to eat shit If that was the case.

"Beep!" A loud sound suddenly jolted Aiden out of his thoughts and he looked at his phone with a frown.

"Dear customer, you've received the sum of one hundred Million dollars, from account 24343xxxxx. Your account balance is now 100,000,000."

The message read, and Aiden's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets due to shock as he couldn't believe his eyes.

What the heck was happening? This was too good to be true. There was no way he was going to believe this.

Thinking about this, Aiden looked around and saw an ATM in the distance.

Without thinking, he ran forward, and with shaking hands, he inserted his card into the machine.

Nervously, he pressed five thousand and the next moment, the money came out of the machine.

Aiden froze looking at the money hung on the machine. His heart beating rapidly. He could feel his breath suffocating and he didn't know what to do.

What the heck was happening? This was too good to be true. He had to wake up from this nightmare.

There was no way he would have such an amount of money in his account. After all, he was penniless and the only money in his account was just about five hundred dollars.

What kind of technology was that? What should he do? Aiden wondered. All he could think of was just how he had gotten this strange stuff.

Walking away from the ATM to avoid suspicion, Aiden kept the money in his pocket with trembling hands.

The strange thing called itself Empire Building System.

Also, it tasked him with purchasing a company. What company was he going to purchase? Who was going to sell a company to him in Oakridge City?

The system had said that he was going to die if he didn't purchase a company in twenty-four hours. He was not ready to lose his life, at least not yet.

This was a dangerous situation, how was he going to scale it? Aiden sighed and pushed all thoughts to the back of his mind.

First, he was going to have to save his sister. Since he had the money, he would be a fool if he didn't pay for his sister's operation. Then he was going to use the rest to purchase a company.

He didn't care what kind of Company it was going to be.

Thinking about this, Aiden flagged down a taxi and got in heading to the hospital.
