NUCLEUS PART. 3

Monday stood up.

“Babe what happened?”,

“I have to really go right now.”,. Monday stopped immediately he saw her frown. He walked up to her and held her shoulders. “I promise I will be back very soon. I just gotta take care of something really important.”

Jummy glared at him in grave silence for a while, his pleading eye trying to convince her was a waste of effort. “So now what....”, she broke the silence. “...you are a business man? who has something veryyyy important to handle.”

”Loo--”

“You promised me you wouldn't leave, at least not now... are you seriously planning on going back on your words?”

“Babe... I said, I will be back before midnight. I promise.”

“Another promise.”, she didn't say anything after that, she walked pass him and dropped the pizza then laid on the couch.

“Go.”, her words came suddenly as Monday nearly lost hope.

Monday gasped as he heard her, his heart skipped for a moment, he wanted to ask her again but he heard her snap. “Go... just go.”

Monday got joyed by this, he wanted to hug her or something but she declined. He didn't mind, he immediately existed the building as fast as possible.

Made sure no one was looking before he took of into the night sky.

𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐖 𝐇𝐐

“The thing already reached Greenland Streets.”, the latter alarmed. Az got on the mainframe, his eyes popped open,. “The cops are on their way.”

“Forget the cops Taiwo. Their firepower is totally useless against this guy. He literally blew up a fucking factory. They shouldn't be here, they are all going to die.”

“Well it going to get more cruel...look.”

Five police cars with two armored van. Armed forces stormed out of the vehicles and held the being at gun point. Coming out of one of the Van was. Commissioner Watson, strapped in black vest with a black combat outfit. Her blonde hair remained still beside both her cheeks, her blue eyes glaring at the danger ahead.

“Watson is down there.”,

“Yeah I know.”, Az zoomed in. “Pretty sure she's thinking Monday is going to arrive anytime soon and save the day---”

Beep!

Az checked the other screen. A red blinking light had emerged. “Monday...”

“How is that possible? I thought you couldn't reach him. ”

Az sighed. “Forget that... what matters is that he's here.” He faced the other mainframe. “Now let's see that man get his ass kicked!.”

𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐇𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐄. . .

Sirens wailed across the city. Monday soared through the sky and lengthens his vision down the city and follows up with the police cars as they reached their destination. He spots the burning man.

“Crap!.”

A sonic boom occurs in the dark sky, alarming the cops and the burning man in the process.

Thud!.

Monday makes his dramatic entrance without hesitation and stood up straight. He looked back at the police force. “You guys go , I got this.”

He then turned back to the burning man and slowly approached him. “Alright, start talking. . .what do you want.”

“How about you step out of my way and bring me. . . Qualcom.”

“Qualcom?”,. Monday muttered.

“Yes... you heard me. . . Bring me Qualcom!.”, The burning man roared and shot a stream of nuclear energy at Monday's direction.

Monday eyes widened a little bit. He shot forward immediately with his hands crossed, blocking the energy beam but it stroke him backwards.

“And who are you...”, Fire reeled with his voice. “Where is he? because it seems I am going to burn this whole city down in his absence!.”

“Not. . . a. . . chance!.”

Monday shot himself forward with superhuman speed. Clashing with the burning man which only lead to an explosion that covers few perimeters but luckily the cops weren't hurt.

A resounding hit alarms the cops. Immediately, Monday comes bulleting out of the smoke like a missile and crashes into police van, demolishing it in the process.

Fire!.”,. Watson ordered while she ran to aid Monday.

Gunshots spread across the perimeters , the burning man makes his appearance known. The bullets sinks into him, doing no effect whatsoever but the burning man felt a nourishing feeling come over him.

He grinned devilishly at them and still walked forward without haste.

“Hey! are you okay?”, Watson worriedly said as she got to Monday.

He was groaning before he sat up and held his cheek. He was pain, but it vanished soon enough but it was like 4 he could still feel a little of it soar though him.

“What the hell was that, felt like I got it by my dad!.”, Monday groaned.

“You’ve been hit by your dad before?”, She helped him back ok his feet.

”No... I have witnessed some crazy things to know how crazy he is. Wow! that guy really packs a punch!.”

“This isn't time for that. You need to get him out of here.”

Monday nodded as he looked at her.

Boom!

A sonic boom fractured and Monday dashes pass the cops and straight towards the burning man. Time dilates as he approached the burning man.

A thundering blow scatters across the burning man face, time resumes back to it normalcy; the burning man is sent flying away from the cops. Monday flew after the burning man as he crashed through the running streams that green land city was situated upon.

Monday came berating the burning man with his thundering blows that were overwhelming his opposition.

The ocean cried at the immense powerful blows. Each blow broke the winds movement. Soon Monday's eyes were becoming crimson with rage.

Immediately, he delivers another punch, the burning man tries to stop it but it too late. Monday was loosing his cool.

Another and another. Monday grabbed his head and flung him and across the oceans and beyond the atmosphere.

Rain... lightning... thunder.... three forces of nature comes to play as the burning man finds himself across the night sky. Only to create an uproar, with his body glowing extremely bright , it radiance made him shine as if he was the sun, although, a bit of it and then...

...a loud explosion in the dark sky takes place.

Monday who was still recovering from the sudden rage that came over him felt the force of the explosion rush him into the ocean.

Greenland City felt the force of the explosion. The cops were shaken. Everyone was on their feet when the effect of the explosion died down.

“ What just happened?”, one of the cops asked.

Commissioner Watson heaved a sigh before looking at the sky again , witnessing the nature take it course after the blast.

“Everyone head back to GCPD. . . now.”

As instructed, everyone bothered their vehicles and exist the scene.

𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐖 𝐇𝐐

The elevator dings and slides open with commissioner Watson walking her way in. “Monday.”, She immediately ran to hug the latter who was standing there across the mainframe. “I thought something bad had happened!.” Watson said as she broke the hug.

“Turns out our guy a.k.a nucleus is one of Monday's dad formal villains. A crazy experiment made with the nuclear generator. ”, Az chipped In with his findings. “And we also got bigger problem.”

“Which is?”, Taiwo asked.

“Nucleus can't be stopped using physical form of attack.”

Monday stepped away from the commissioner. ”What do you mean? so my attack on him led to that explosion...”

“Something like that...”,

“He did mention he wanted your dad... isn't it?”,. Watson added. “Since he's your dad foe, he must have been Stopped one way or the other.”

“Yeah... but how was he Stopped? that's the big question we are all looking at here.”, Az walked back to the huge board that stood in the room with pictures of the burning man in a red crimson armor. “ I found this at GCPD...well online records...”

“How did you get into GCPD database?”, Watson fired. “Woah easy there commissioner... everyone got their own secrets and beside I wasn't thinking you were going to hand them over.”

“Says who.”

“Enough... no need to argue, let's get on with it. What do you got?”

“You see this armor... it belongs to Nucleus.”

“Yeah...it locked away, I don't know where exactly, my dad didn't really give me an info on that. he prolly thought I was better of without getting involved in the league of supervillain stuff. ”

Monday sighed. “Do you know what the armor does?”

“Well from my research, it protects burning man here from getting drained of his energy or being contained, also protects him from a lotta attacks but the armor doesn't stop the amplification he gets from physical attacks.”

“Nucleus might still be out there.”, Monday thought. “He made he first impression already. “He might go for his armor next. We just have to find it. ”

Az nodded “I will see if I can make us of Aurelius satellite to search for any other familiar energy signature around , the armor is still bound to still have the same energy it previous possessor owned.”

“I will head back to GCPD to see what info I can get from there. ”,

“Alright then. Let's find this guy and stop him before he nukes Greenland. ”, Monday declared with his eyes focused on the high profiled supervillain.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐖𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍

Everywhere is in it ruins. Debbie is seen laying unconscious in a distance, Jakes demolished car right behind her.

Jake and Katherine is no where to be seen. The compound grieved in silence, hours passed on and on till a sudden shift in the gates occurred.

Someone had entered the compound.

“Oh my gosh... what happened here.”

She thought as she advanced further into the deranged environment.

Walking with caution was what she did but all that ended when she found Debbie lying on the ground.

“Oh no! Debbie!.”,Her heart thumped at what her eyes saw. She wasted no time and ran to help her. She got there and rallied to help Debbie get up on her feet.

But before she could do anything, her eyes grasped the sight of the huge writings that were on the wall of the mansion...

Decorated in different parts of the wall, terrifying the lady as she read them, fear nutured her as she read. Her mind thinking all sort of things that she forbade with every second she used in reading it...
