FEDERICK'S POV

[ Blaring Alarm! ]

[System message : Dark system detected. Neutralize it!

My face went pale as the noise engulfed me. "What is the system talking about, and what does it mean by the dark system?

[System task income: Find the host and unfuse the system.]

[System reward: Meet the owner of the system.]

Meet the system owner.

My eyes darted toward the VIP seat.

The man who had been paying attention to my fighting skills. Was he the owner of the system after all?

And who was fused with the system?

I heard a soft gasp from the spectators, and I walked forward. The crowds paved the way for me only to see Axle knocked out on the cold metal.

His eyes were shut closed, and I wonder who could have done that. I looked around and saw no one.

Not even Damian.

"Who knocked him out?" I asked someone standing by.

"The man you fought." He said, staring back at me.

I know there was no way Damain could knock Axle down. Axle was nicely built with nice body features.

I knew Damain wouldn't t

Damain's POV I laughed seeing the look on his face. I could see that he was not expecting to see me. "How did you find me here?" I said, slowly walking forward towards my twin brother. "I am not really bothered about that." Dully replied. "It was a matter of time, actually. I knew you were going to come knocking. Took you long enough," he said, grabbing his things. "I see you are now friends with the same kid we tried to take down. Should I be worried?" I asked, taking a seat in front of Dully. "Why do I need to answer any of your questions? Why are you really here, Damian?" Duly asked, he said, arching his eyebrows. "I am here because you are here. We are inseparable, remember?" Dummy let out a long laugh, making me wonder why he was laughing. "So, do you mind telling me what is funny?" I asked, getting a bit pissed. "You are funny, brother. You know, I had always thought I was the villain. The devil's incarnate, but all this while, it has been you. You have been the on

DULLY’S POVFred’s question settled in the air like smoke—thick, choking, impossible to ignore. I stood in that dim, sweat-stained gym with the rain still pounding against the roof like war drums, and I realized I didn’t have an answer. What would I do with power?Kill Damian? Reclaim my reputation? Rewrite the past?Fred's eyes locked on mine like he was waiting for a confession. But I had none to give. Not yet.“What kind of power are we talking about?” I finally asked, my voice low, rough.Fred smiled again, but it wasn’t the warm, crooked grin I remembered from our training days. This one was... sharp. Cold.“The kind that changes the rules of the game,” he said. “The kind that rewrites reality itself. You think Damian’s strong? You think that video scared you?” He shook his head, laughing bitterly. “That was just a glimpse, Dully. A taste of what's really happening.”My jaw tightened. “Then explain it to me. Stop talking in riddles. What the hell are you into?”Fred sighed. “ I

Dully’s POV Adriane's words got to me. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I knew she was right. I began to develop a kind of cold feet. I and Damian had left things bad. What if he decides to attack me? Would I be able to take him alone? I know the best way to get around this, but will it work? I looked at the video again, and I saw it was Axle that was knocked to the ground. If I could get him to work for me to take down Damain, then everything would be all in place. I immediately picked up my phone and texted Fred, asking him to meet up. I knew he was going to try and tell me a lie, but I was ready to get to the bottom of it all. I was never the kind of man to chase ghosts. But as I sat in my car with the flash drive burning a hole in my jacket pocket, I felt like a man about to walk into a haunted house—with no idea if he’d be coming back out. The engine purred beneath me, the city around humming its own familiar lullaby. Horns blared. Rain pelted the windshield in

Dully's pov The video of Damain's knock out was everywhere. The blogs, the newspapers and even the magazines couldn't stop tweaking about it. I was a bit frustrated as I threw the magazine I was holding to the white polish table in front of me. " You are letting this get to you,Dully " Araindne said from behind. I turned slowly and met her gaze. " How long have you been standing there for?" " Enough to see how pained and angry you are." She replied walking to my front. " I am not pained. I just hated the fact that..." " He is living your life..." Ariadne chipped in. I smirked. " There is nothing special about what he did you know. I have done more and even better than that." I said boasting " I know what you have done, Dully. You don't need to remind me of that but hae you taken your time to look at the video from a different angle?" Araindne said moving closer to me. She sat beside me and handed her phone to me. " I think you need to rewatch it." Araindne handed me the ph

DAMIAN'S POV Fred launched at me with raw speed and fury, his body propelled by that blasted system of his. But I was ready. It was as if I could see clearly. [Dark System Engaged] A low hum coursed through my veins. The world slowed, as though time itself knew better than to rush a war between two forces it couldn’t contain. I smiled darkly, stepping aside just as Fred came in with his first strike. His blow cut through the air like a blade, missing me by inches. Too slow. It was almost as if I had all the time to calculate his moves. Was this what he had been doing all this time? Was Fred actually better than me or was it the system playing the super hero all this while?I grabbed his arm mid-swing and twisted hard. The crack of bone echoed down the hallway as Fred grunted in pain, but he didn’t falter. The system inside him tried to counter, sending another punch my way.The dark system within me laughed seeing how far he asked willing to go just to prove dominance. I blo

FEDERICK'S POV I knew this was it. The highest of it. If Damain was possessed by the system, I knew it was going to be a tug of war between us both. The thought of how I feel about going to protect the things I hold dear was all I could think about. I knew the best way to get back at me was to ask to go after Georgia. That was the only way to flip my switch. This was the time I needed my team. Marcus. Garry. But they were on their own doing these things. I knew Marcus was still mad at me. Things would have been different if Zee hadn't died. My phone buzzed, and I saw it was a message from Dully. But right now, I don't even think I need him anymore. If Damian was having the backing of a dark, mysterious message, then there was no one who could stop him aside from me. "We need to see and talk." I dipped my phone back into my pocket. We had a deal. Damian was supposed to have been sent out of the school. We had a deal. I went into the dean's office, and I
