FEDERICK'S POV

I don't know how I was supposed to feel about walking again. The thought of having to share the process with someone who was a cripple too was uncalled for, but it was what the system wanted.

I looked at the wall clock, which doesn't seem to slow down, right in front of me. I have called Georgia for the fifth time, and she was not picking up my calls.

What do I do?

The thought of accepting my fate as a cripple gnawed at me. I picked up my phone and called Georgia's number again, and it kept ringing without being picked.

I felt scared for her.

What if Damian got to her?

Or is it Richard?

I was not sure of what to think anymore. I called Garry's line. "Can you get down here, dude? I need your help." I said firmly over the call.

"Give me thirty minutes." Garry said back.

I looked at the clock. "Thirty minutes? I don't have much time, Garry. If you don't want to get here and see my corpse, I suggest that you start coming now."

"Fine, I will be on my way.

FREDERICK'S POV I looked at both Garry and Georgia. I could see that they were scared. Not that Georgia was here but by the fact that we both were healed. "What did you do?" Garry asked again. "Can we forget about that for now and concentrate on what is on the ground? The new kid at school. Have you seen his face?" I looked at Garry. "I told you I am working on it with Marcus." Garry replied, looking at my legs. "Knock it off, man. You need to stop this." I said, walking away from him. I could see Georgia beaming with a smile. I knew she was grateful and happy, but still, she wanted to know how I made it happen. The system hasn't sent a congratulatory message to me. I was actually expecting that and waiting for my next mission. I can't wait to show the students that I was back on my feet. "Sasha. Do you know anything about her?" I turned my gaze to meet Garry. "Sasha? What about her?" Garry stepped closer towards me. "Do you think she has something to d

FEDERICK'S POV Georgia stood frozen, the weight of our revelation sinking in. Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out. The idea that Damian might have a twin—someone who had been working in the shadows, causing chaos—was too insane to digest at once. Finally, she whispered, “A twin… Why would no one know about that? All this while, are you saying Damian has successfully fooled everyone?"Yes," I replied. “Because they’ve been careful,” Garry said, stepping beside me. “They’ve been playing the game for years, switching places, covering for each other, manipulating everything from teachers to students. And now—Fred nearly died because of it.”“We nearly died,” I corrected him sharply. “I don't know why none of the students saw into this, or maybe they just didn't want to."Georgia turned toward me. “You mentioned a woman… The one who had the video. Are you saying she died because of that?”I nodded, jaw clenched. “She was going to leak the footage. It showed more than just the

FEDERICK'S POV The school bubbled with different activities. Things were a bit quiet down except for the fact that I and Damian still bear the grudges against each other. Richard was trying to claw his way to the top while Damian was trying to remain the kingpin of the school. And me, I don't even know what I was anymore. A lot of kids were signing up for different school curriculum activities, and not to mention, it was going to be Xmas in less than two weeks. The examination was also around the corner too. For a moment, I think everyone forgot about me and were focused on their lives. The main reason why they all were in school. I have received a few texts from Marcus telling me he was still trying to find Zed's killer, and he later found out that he was right at Austin University.Although I wanted to do things my way. I was done leaving it to Garry and Marcus. I think they can't do this without me getting involved. I was still going to be a cripple, and I was going to keep f

DAMAIN'S POV The thought of Dully starting schooling gnawed at me. I had tried to convince Father about it, but he said it was not something he had control over. I knew Fred was getting up to something. He had been too quiet ever since he got back. I tried intimidating him a few times, but he looked like he finally knew his place. Ethan and Aiden are no longer answering to me but him. Some of the students are also talking about the masked guy. Most of them wanted to be friends with him, and I was slowly losing my touch once more. Not to Fred but to my own brother. My flesh and blood. The thought of having us fight over power at school was more annoying and irritating to me, but then I was going to fight if that was what it took to make Dully fear me. I was here before him; he doesn't get to come and parade himself like he is the king in here. My thought was stopped when I saw Mandy walking towards me. She got closer and kissed me on the cheek. "You look like you have somethin

DAMIAN'S POV My face went pale when the two of them pretended like I wasn't seen. Like I didn't matter. I knew many of the students saw that, but I let out a smile trying to mask my fear. I looked at Mandy. "Did you see what I was telling you?" I said, clenching my fist in anger. "Who is that guy? Do you even know him?" Mandy asked with her eyebrows arched. My heart beat fast at the question asked. I know it as Dully. I knew it was my brother, but then telling her would make her curious and want to know more. "I don't know who he is, but if he wants to steal my stuff, then he better be ready for a battle." I said, clenching my fist under the table. I know I can't fight Dully head-on. It was going to be stupid of me. I needed to build another army of loyal followers. If Aiden and Ethan won't bend to my will anymore, then someone else will. "I know how you feel, Damain. Why don't you focus more on the competition? Win it and gain back the face that was stolen. What do you thi

FEDERICK'S POV I looked at Mandy's face, and I saw she was more than willing to know the masked guy. "Did you tell her? Did you tell her you know who it was?" I said with a wide grin, enjoying taunting Damain even from where I sat down. "What is he saying, Damain? Do you really know who he is?" Mandy asked, staring at both him and me. "Are you listening to Fred now? Do you need to listen to the words coming from a rumbling idiot?" Damian lashed out at her. "You know, at first. I don't understand why you were always at two places at the same time, but then, you opened my eyes after you had me pushed off the edge of the library." I said again.Mandy's face went pale. "You do know that is a serious accusation, Fred? Can you own up to what you have said?" Mandy snapped. "Own up? I am going to give you evidence before Christmas and expose Damain for the fraud that he is." I said again with confidence. "Fraud? Did you just call me a fraud?" Damian looked at me and laughed. "Yes, that

Dully's POV We both stood before our father. A man that doesn't care what happens to either of us. All he cared about was his business and it growing. Well, I was the black sheep, the dark prince, but not anymore. Bernard looked at me before his eyes darted towards Damain. "You violated my instructions." He said, briefly looking at the magazine he had on his mahogany table. One thing I know about Bernard was that he doesn't take 'No' for an answer. I could say for myself that I don't either. That was something we had in common. "I asked you not to go to school and help your brother from the shadows, but you refused and defied my instructions." He said again, paused. I could see the grin on Damian's face. More like it anyways. Father was on his side again. I sometimes wonder if we haven't been twins. I wonder what would have been my fate if we were not twins. I clenched my hand in anger as I stared at his face. "Can you go straight to the point, Fatter?" The word c

DAMAIN'S POVI looked at Dully, and I saw his mind was made up. "Do you think all of this is going to blow over and you won't take the fall?" I said getting to my feet. "You did all of this, Dully!" I yelled at him. My fist clenched in anger. "The kills, the murderers. All of this is on you, and if you think I am going to take the blame for them, then you don't really know what I am capable of." Dully smirked, "And what exactly are you capable of? I remember you sulking to me each time you needed help. And what have you done in return for me? What have you given back for everything I have done? For every single drop of blood I have shed for you and our precious father? Nothing!" he said, staring at the both of them. "But rather, you want me to stay in here like a monster that needs to be caged." "Why do I spend so much money, then?" Bernard looked at Dully. "You had the best trainer train you, the best sportsman, and even I brought down masters just to make you into what you are t

FEDERICK'S POV – CHAPTER CONTINUESThe tension in the room could be sliced with a blade.Axel’s looming form shadowed Garry, whose clenched fists hinted at a barely contained fury. The boutique had gone silent, even the fashionists backing away like mice scurrying from a lion’s den. Shoppers paused, uncertain if this was a pre-scheduled show or the kind of drama that ends with broken glass and police sirens.I could feel the shift in Garry's body language. He was itching to throw a punch. He didn't fear Axel — he never feared anyone — but I knew him better than he thought. Garry wasn’t just angered by the taunt. He was burdened by the stakes. If anything happened here, it wouldn't just be a bruised face or broken pride. Everything we’d been working on could come crashing down.“Garry,” I called, my tone steady but low enough for only him to catch. “Not here.”Garry didn’t turn, but I saw the slight twitch in his jaw, the restraint fighting to take hold.“Looks like your little friend

" Yes, Mr Fred. They are Italians and if you want to try it on, we don't have a problem with that." One of the fashionist looking at me. " I would like to try everything on here." I said smiling happily. Garry looked at me, " I don't think we should be doing any of this, Fred. We need to get Damain in the act. What if he is unt us" he said staring at me.I burst into laughter making him more paranoid. " Is there something funny? Or did I say something funny?" Garry asked. " Not really but I think this is the first time you will actually be worried over something like this. You need to cook down as have some fun. Besides, Marcus and Sergeant James are going to be out backup in case anything go sideways." " You told them?" Garry looked at me. " They need to know, Fred. They can make sure things d

Damian’s POVThe voice on the other end of the line was gruff and cautious. “Who’s this?”“It doesn’t matter,” I replied calmly, still staring at his profile. His name was Axel. A third-year engineering student with a reputation for breaking bones and rules. Expelled once, readmitted after his father, a powerful politician, pulled strings. He was the kind of ally I needed—strong, feared, and without conscience.“What matters is what I can offer you,” I continued. “Money. Protection. Power. But we need to meet. Today.”There was a short pause, then a dark chuckle. “Meet me at the underground gym, ten o'clock tonight. Don’t be late. And don’t bring anyone.”The line went dead.My heart raced. I began to wonder if I had made the right call and if Axel was going to be able to protect me from Dully. The truth was that my twin brother was the only one I had always feared when it came to a duel.He was strong, fast and brutal. Also, he had a killer instinct, and he doesn't think twice before

My face bleeding from the severe beating To think that Dully would actually hurt me was something I had never thought of. I had never had the cause to fear him, but now all I have left over is fear. With the death of Richard, I was at his mercy. "And how do we do that? Do you think Father is stupid to give that to you?" Dully asked with a smirk on his face. "I don't want to take any chances. I can just kill you here and be done with it." He said it again, making my heart skip a bit. "I am going to get it. Can you give me some time to get it done?" I pleaded. The atmosphere was tense. He looked at me, "You know I can always make you disappear? If you think you can play smart with me, then I think you need to reconsider that because the next time we are going to be having this conversation, then you are definitely going to wish you we

I think you might have hit your head pretty hard." I replied.I know he was right about Damian being a twin but then, we need proof and not assumptions." What if we can prove it? FEDERICK'S POVThe hallway seemed to buzz with anticipation as the fashion crew approached. Every eye was on them, and yet, it felt like they were only looking at me. I sat still, my heart pounding loudly against my chest. I didn't understand what was happening. One of the women, dressed in an elegant black suit and dark sunglasses, stopped right in front of me. She smiled, but it wasn’t the kind of smile you gave a stranger — it was like she already knew me."Federick, right?" she said smoothly, her voice cutting through the excited murmurs around us."Y-Yes?" I stammered, feeling the pressure of a thousand stares. She handed me a sleek envelope embossed with a silver crest. I hesitated before taking it, feeling the weight of everyone's attention."You've been personally invited to the pre-launch event for Maison DeViere," she announced, loud enough for the students around me to hear. Gasps echoed down the hallway. "Maison DeViere," the biggest luxury fashion house in the country —

FEDERICK'S POVThe day of the competition was fast approaching. The joy of showing to the whole and all the students that I was no longer a cripple was all I could think about. My mind darted back towards Georgia and how she had told me she wanted us to be serious and move on from the next phase of being my contracted girlfriend.I got to school that morning, and I was shocked to hear about the death of Richard. At first, I tried calling Garry to see if he had heard anything about it too, but when I called him, no one was answering. I saw a lot of students bickering about how relieved they were that he died. At first, a part of me was too. I looked at the marked place on the floor. I looked up and saw he fell, just like I had too. Who might have pushed him?I knew he had engaged the masked guy. The thought of finally seeing his face was what gnawed at me. As I wheeled myself towards the hallway, my gaze met with Sasha, who had stood still looking at me. A part of me knew she knows

The clash was instant and brutal. Clark's men surged forward like unleashed wolves, each one trained for this moment—to bring Jason Carter to his knees and secure the legacy Clark had coveted his entire life. Raven stepped in front of Jason before he could react, he knives flashing from her boots and slicing the first two attackers down. Blood splattered across the dusty floor as more men poured in through the broken windows and side doors. Jason threw a punch into the chest of a soldier who got too close, then grabbed Claire by the wrist. “Stay behind me!” he shouted. But Claire didn’t listen. Her eyes were wide with terror, but there was also fire there. She grabbed a fallen gun from the ground and pointed it at the oncoming wave. “I can fight!” she screamed. “No!” Jason barked, trying to pull her back. Another blast erupted. Bullets tore through the room. Dust, screams, and the metallic scent of blood filled the air. Raven flipped a chair toward one of the men and slammed a
