Kane clamped his hand like a vice.

“If you dare slap her again, you're going to regret your existence. I swear!" He said, his voice cutting across the hall like a bullet.

Meanwhile, across the room, Gabriel halted. He whirled, eyes squinting on the scene. His jaw tightened.

Mr. Magnus, the manager turned. He looked Kane up and down. It doesn't look like he's an ordinary person judging from how rich essembles.

“Who the heck are you!? Let go of me!" He panicked, fear clawing his heart, seeing the cold and lethal gaze in Kane's eyes.

Kane shoved him. Mr. Magnus stumbled but he caught himself at the last minute before he could hit his back against the wall.

Kane walked to the woman and squatted in her front. She sat still on the floor, her frayed blouse wrinkled, tear blurred her eyes and the marks from the first slap was fully registered on her face like a tribal mark.

“Are you okay, ma'am?" Kane asked, concern laced in his voice.

The woman sniffed and nodded twice.
