What the fuck?!

Vivian couldn't believe what she heard.

She couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

"Your company? Do you know that Apex Z Group is valued at 50 billion, and ranks 1st in Apple City? I bet a loser like you have no idea!”

Vivian sneered loudly.

“Ben, did you hear that? Louis thinks he owns Apex Z Group! That's funny!"

Ben laughed too.

"Wow, Louis. You're crazier than I thought. What's next? Are you going to say you're the king of Apple City?"

Vivian looked disgusted.

"I can't believe I was married to someone so stupid and boastful. You can't even tell what's real and what's not."

"Maybe we should simply call security," Ben suggested playfully.

"They'd love to meet the 'owner' of Apex Z Group. Want to give them a good laugh, Vivian?"

Louis didn't say anything.

He didn't look upset or angry.

Their words didn't bother him at all.

Louis moved to walk past Vivian and Ben, his face a mask of indifference.

His didn’t want to waste another second on these two arrogant fools.

But Vivian stepped in front of him, her eyes blazing with anger because of Louis’s indifferent attitude.

"Not so fast," she spat.

"We're not done here."

Louis raised an eyebrow.

"I believe we concluded our business this morning."

Vivian laughed bitterly.

"Oh, you wish. Did you think you'd get off that easily? I want compensation, Louis. For emotional distress during our marriage."

Louis's expression remained neutral.

"Compensation? After your infidelity?"

"Infidelity?"

Vivian scoffed.

"That's rich, coming from a pervert like you. Fabricating all those ridiculous stories about knowing important people. It makes me sick just thinking about it."

Louis was taken aback for a second.

But then, he quickly recalled the personal items he had left at the villa ...

... and realized one thing.

Vivian must have seen those cards.

If that was so, then she must have discovered the doll too, then.

How come she was so unmoved?

Although quite impatient, Louis still tried to explain.

"Those weren't fabrications," Louis said quietly.

Vivian rolled her eyes.

"Please. As if someone like you could ever attract attention from the upper class. It's laughable and really sucks."

“Do you think you’re a prince or what? His Highness or Majesties?”

“How on earth could princesses and royal ladies confess to you or invite you to parties?”

“Have you ever looked into the mirror and realize how lowly you are?”

“Oh, Merlin! Is that true, Vivian?”

Ben chimed in, his voice dripping with disbelief and disdain.

"A hundred percent true, Ben. You just can’t imagine how insane and disgusting he can be. He even stole a girl’s doll. Can you imagine that?”

“Blimey! That’s really unbelievable.”

Ben laughed, inevitably shaking back and forth.

"That's a new low, even for you, Louis."

Louis's eyes narrowed slightly.

“Vivian, why can’t we divorce in peace? Why are you so eager to slander me?”

“I slandered you? Oh, come on! Aren’t you the one who did all these shameful things? Why can’t you admit it? You coward!”

Vivian sneered with disgust.

Louis sighed, his patience wearing thin.

His expression unreadable and his voice cold.

"I want to reiterate that those cards are not face. And that doll—wasn't it yours?"

Vivian looked confused for a moment, then sneered.

“Bullshit!”

"My doll is safe at home, you creep. What, did you think you could use that as leverage?"

BOOM!

Louis stood very still, his mind racing, like a rocket at full speed.

A look of shock passed over his face, quickly replaced by his usual calm demeanor.

But inside, a realization was dawning - one that shook him to his core.

"I see," he said softly, more to himself than to Vivian or Ben.

"All this time... I might have been mistaken, haven’t I?"
