FUTURE OF ZEN

ch 35 A DEMON WHAT ?

Zen was standing in front of the gate and was thinking about all the things that stand in his way and his future that awaits him.

He had made his mind and was going to aim for the top.

With this thinking he entered the Main gate and was ready to give the examination.

As he entered the gate, he heard someone calling his name from a side the right side.

He looked toward the right and saw a girl running toward him as he have no idea who she was, he thought she might be calling for someone else but he saw noone who gave her any attention.

So he asked Venda if she knew the girl was, As Venda took a good look and searched through the memories of Zen.

She found out that the girl was the daughter of their family friend.

The girl was Nina, she is the same age as Zen and have studied with him for a while in the same school but they had to live somewhere else and due to that she had to leave the school too.

Zen knew her from when he was little until the age of 10.

As the Nina was standing right in front of now but was trying to catch her breath as she looked at Zen with a smile on her face.

Venda in Zen's mind said

' Don't get fooled by her looks, she might look beautiful to you but in actual Zen never liked her due to her being mean to him all the time.'

As just he looked at her he did realise that she was actually quite beautiful and had a good figure too.

Nina looking at Zen said

' why are you looking at me like that, don't tell me you forgot who i am.

We have been friends for so long and now are meeting after almost 7 years and this is your reaction.

I don't like it '

As Zen tried to convince her

' No, actually i was just admiring how much beautiful you have become Nina.

Nothing else, i am so happy to meet you after this much time.

After you left it was sure lonely around but now you are back so it will be great. '

As Venda said in his mind

' i guess that was going to far, being lonely and stuff '

Zen replied to her

' its not like she care about it anyway, you told me already that she was mean to me to so it will be fine. '

As Nina looked at Zen with sparkling eyes with a little embarrassed face and said

' you don't have to say all that to me, i mean i didn't did anything special to my looks like that you know.

Anyway, what are you even doing here.

If i remember you didn't had any gear, so what are you doing here at the day of the entrance exam.

Are you hear to cheer someone?'

As made a poker face at her and didn't said anything.

He was asking in his mind to venda what should he tell her, but she told him that its his problem not hers and he should solve it on his own.

That resulted in his look as Nina looked at him and said

' don't tell me if you don't want to, i am not curious to know about it anymore.

You will see me in the tournament when i will get that license, from the hands of the others.  '

As Zen asked her what was the tournament she was talking about.

As she replied

' you don't know about the tournament, well i will tell you but before that you have to tell me what you are doing here. '

As Zen turned his face sideways and was thinking what he should tell her as he was not prepared for meeting someone who might already know who he was from Zen's past.

As he turned his head sideways he saw someone coming from the gate inside the academy.

As he looked at him he felt his aura, he immediately knew that the person was strong as he walked past him.

Nina also got aware as the person passed them and she said

' He is Renji,one of the examiners this year.He will be taking our physical exam.

i have heard that he had failed many people before just because they couldn't keep up with his test.

Many people just wish that he doesn't become the examiner, as the examiner is declared right before the day of examination but the forms can be filled anytime so it becomes a choice if they want to take the exam or not.

I am sure many people will just forfeit the exam and many won't even come to take the exam due to him being the examiner.

This is my third try, i have given the exam twice before and on my second try he was the examiner for physical exam.

He told me to break a wall, i did break it as the wall just collapsed and many pieces were left attached but it was broken.

I thought it was enough but he failed me.

After the test i got to know that i was suppose to break the whole wall and leave nothing attached.

How do hell i was suppose to do that, i cried the whole day just because of him giving me a task that can't be done.

Lets hope he goes a little easy this time.'

As Zen kept looking at Renji as he went inside the building.

She yelled at him and said

' are you even listening to me ? '

As Zen turned her way and said

' yeah, i am listening.

Breaking a wall to nothing is sure difficult but it can be done.

You just have to touch the wall and just through concentration you can separate the particle of the wall from each other.

This way the wall will collapse in one blow and every single brick will be separated. '

As Nina thought about it and realised that he had made a point, but she didn't felt it right coming from Zen.

So she again said

' but how you know about it, you don't eve....'

As Zen starts to walk toward the camp which was set where the people who take the registration form were sitting.

As they both went there and Nina was still going on about him leaving her talking and coming here.

As they both gave them their registration and went inside the building where the written exam was set to be taken.

They both got there seat numbers and set down on their alloted seat numbers saying "all the best " each other.

As Zen sat down, he started to analyse people around him using his dhyaan.

Though Linda had told him to not use it but he was so curious to know how much strong people were sitting around him.

He found out just few were strong but not as much as him or Linda.

After checking it, he saw the examiner enter the room.

As she came inside he also tried to check her aura but he wasn't able to do so.

Which made him felt strange toward her, but he got his answer right away why he wasn't able to identify it.

As the examiner said

' Don't try to use this on me, i am more then capable of using it better then you.

So stop it now or it will be your last time here. '

Zen got his warning and stopped his Dhyaan right away without making any attention toward him from the the others around him.

As he was sitting there waiting for the exam paper, the examiner came to him herself to give the paper.

As she came close to put the paper and said

' you better be careful not to use it from now on or you will be failed right away. '

Zen didn't said anything as he sat there and looked at the exam paper.

Just as he looked at it he doesn't understand anything what he have to right in it.

He asks Venda for help but she yells at him for asking her to help him cheat.

But she helps him just enough that he understand what he have to write down and makes him able enough to pass it.

He stands up and gives the paper to the examiner and leaves the room with a frustrated look.

Not because he was not able to get more to score on the paper but because Venda ate his whole mind while she was helping him cheat.

She kept yelling at him for whatever he did and it was almost impossible for him to finish the test paper.

After giving the paper he came out of the building and tried to get some fresh air when he saw someone he wasn't meant to see.

He saw a person standing behind a bush, he didn't gave him much attention before but as the person was emitting an unsettling aura he tried to look at who he was and why his aura felt so strange.

As he went toward him with a little circling around to see his face.

He was able to see who he was but didn't understood how it was possible.

It was a person without a head.

It was like a ghost, he looked at him for a second and turned his face to the other side right away as he looked at him. 

the ghost was able to know that he saw him, so he came toward him and said

' you can see me, right? '

Zen replied with awful look

' No, i can't see anyone.

I am blind. '

So the ghost said

' you can not just see me but also can hear me, thats new for a human.

Only demons can tell me that i am here.

That means you are.

No you can't be.

Anyway i am headless, a demon familiar.

Who are you? '
