“Good morning, how may I help you today?” a guy greeted Hunter, while he was picking his order, “If you can’t choose, then, I’d like to offer you some of our best seller,”

Hunter’s brow furrowed, then nodded eventually, “Thanks, so, what can you offer for me, with less cream or milk,”

“You can have our avocado escape, or reales pocho, it both contains fifteen percent milk, ten percent sugar, and fifty percent coffee,”

Hunter handed the cashier his card, “I’ll get that both, thanks,”

“Thank you, here’s your card sir, and this,” he handed Hunter a buzzer, “We will let you know once your order is ready, for the meantime, you can sit over there,” Hunter nodded and settle himself to a sofa near the counter.

He just went back, after a month of staying home, he came back to the place where he was shamed, and belittled, Hunter’s father let him decide, to whatever he plans to do, and he want to start at the very place where he though, he would start a new.

“Omg, is this real?!” Hunter looked up when he notice a pair of stiletto in front of him, there he saw a woman, wearing a silk orange dress, “You’re Olivia’s fiance, right?” her voice was too loud, that other costumers were looking at them.

“And who must be you, miss?” Hunter’s voice has traces of both annoyance and rage, he doesn’t want to be associated with his ex-fiance anymore.

“I’m one of her friends, I heard Olivia didn’t showed up to your wedding? I told her you’re not worth her life, our friends had been telling her to stop patronizing you, and do charity work,” she smirked, “I guess, she listen to us, looking at you, trying to act classy and normal after that shameful day,”

“Miss, I came here for coffee, just go, and don’t associate me with that woman anymore, I no longer need her,” Hunter said.

“Oh, come on,” The woman didn’t even have any decency, and sat in front of Hunter, smiling, “Hunter, I heard you are willing to change your surname to hers? My god, you really want to simp, you stoop so low, and wants to adapt their family name,” Hunter aggressively gritted his teeth, “Anyway, you must be looking for a job?” the woman pull out her wallet and handed him her business card, “I’m the general manager of Imperial Company, you can apply there, and just said that you know me, I’ll let you use my name for once,” the woman chuckled, “Were in need of cleaners,”

Hunter grabbed the business card, the woman smirked at him, feeling like she slapped him with the fact of how low he is, compare to Olivia, and her friends. He pulled off his phone from his inner pocket, and dialed a number, it didn’t ring twice, and answered.

“Edgar, how are you?” Hunter’s has a hint of humor, when he saw Alison—the woman who’s shaming him, forehead’s creased.

“I’m doing good, sir, I didn’t expect your call, I’m so glad I heard from you,” the man, who’s name is Edgar, wanted to partner with Hunter for a very long time, “I’m uh, yeah, uh, when do we start from here?” Hunter chuckled upon hearing.

“No pressure, anyway, I have a good deal for you,”

The man’s face on the other line brightens up, Edgar will profit a lot if Hunter approve his offer, and he has been trying for five years, “Anything, sir,”

“Okay, I will set an appointment for us to meet and hear your pitch, in exchange,” Alison was now looking at him, curious of who he was talking, she was fight her mind, that the Edgar he was talking to, is different from the Edgar she knew, “I want you to fire your general manager—Alison Ford,” Alison’s eyes widen, “Is that a deal?”

Hunter bid his goodbye, “Don’t be a baby, and don’t hoax me, Hunter. I won’t fall for that, but nice try, anyway,” Alison laugh, disregarding her thoughts earlier, but in no less than a minute, Alison’s phone vibrating, indicating someone was calling him, Alison almost forgot breathing, when she saw who’s on the caller log.

She is hesitant in answering the call, and looked at Hunter, who’s armed crossed on his chest, and looking at her. He face is pale, and her hands were shaking.

“Why don’t you answer it? I bet it’s your boss,”

Hunter didn’t wait for Alison to answer, since he knew where it will end, his buzzer lights up, indicating that his order is ready, he went to the cashier, and the barista gave him his order.

“Thank you for stopping by, you have a great day!” he said enthusiastically, “Come again!”

HUNTER spent his day, meeting with his business partners and investors. Some were shock on his return, but most of them were glad that he is back.

“It’s been a while, since we saw you, Mr. Dmitri, we’re very glad that you’re here again, I might lose another millions if you didn’t come back,”

The three other gentlemen laugh with Arnaldo’s snide remark, he is Hunter’s one of the many partners who didn’t ever lose, the moment they let Hunter drove their plans.

“Enough with that, Arnaldo, you’re flattering me too much, anyway, I’ve called you here to announce that I’m having my new branch,”

“That’s great, when will you start, sir? I can refer you to a dear friend of mine, who owns a construction firm,”

Hunter missed having business appoinment,  that he didn’t notice it was his last meeting for that day, he was meeting his business partner, for almost all his branch.

“Smith!” Hunter tapped Smith’s shoulder, upon entering the restaurant, “How have you been, it’s been a while,”

“You dumbass, you left me, without even saying anything, and you’ll act now, like a very good friend, how dare you?”

Hunter laugh, he never laugh hard for years, that’s when Hunter slowly realizing what he missed, for the past years, of trying to fit on Olivia’s standard.

“It just so happen, come on,” Hunter mumbled, followed by a laugh again, “I ordered while waiting, I’m famished, it’s been a long day for me,”

“I know you’ll always run to this restau, this is your favorite,” Smith said in a matter of fact tone.

“Of course, mom used to eat here with me, however, for some unknown fucking reason, the owner won’t let me buy this one,”

“Yeah, I mean, I won’t sell it to you too, you look—” Smith teasingly looked Hunter from head to feet, “Uh, a swindler?”

“Oh, you fucking fuck—”

“Mr. Philipps?” Hunter and Smith stopped teasing each other when someone called Smith, Hunter’s eye widen, but he immediately fixed himself, “OMG! What a coincidence, of all restaurant, glad to see you here!”

“Oh, Olivia, yes, I’m a regular here, with my buddy—Hunter, dude, this is Olivia, one of my employee,” Smith tried to act cool, when in fact,. He knew Hunter’s wherebouts, and he is just messing with Hunter.

Olivia look at Hunter, terrified, “Oh, you’re here too, William,”

“Mr. Philipps, what a pleasant surprise, you’re with a fr—” William’s brow furrowed, while looking at the man in front of him, and turned to Olivia, “Oli, isn’t he the man you’re supposed to marry?”

“Yes, uh, but uh, Mr. Smith, don’t let him deceive you, he deceived me once, and I almost marry him, he can be a great deceiver as that, he wants my family’s wealth,”

Hunter chuckled, when hearing Olivia, Smith stood up, “Olivia, why would he be needing your wealth? Are you that reach?”

“Well, our family, is a well off, my grandfather and my d—”

“Your dad, who’s almost near bankruptcy? Is that what you’re talking about?”

“No, we still have different business, and—”

“He’s a leech who will surely suck all your blood, Mr. Philipps, we’re just concern about you, that’s all, he’s a dangerous man, you can come with us, and we will talk about business,” Hunter can't help but to silently chuckled, William, disrespecting him.

“Both of you are fucking unbelievable,” Smith turn to Hunter’s who’s silently listening to them arguing, “Dude, how that fact did you stand living with this bitch?”

“Excuse me?!” Olivia’s unbelievably said, “What did you say?!”

“Why would he need your little money? For fuck sake, he’s a shipping magnate, a world class businessman, he’s basically perfect, he’s a billionaire, dumb woman!”

The early autumn air was crisp and fresh, with the leaves of the trees around the village beginning to show the first signs of turning golden. The days were getting shorter, and the nights cool and still. Lorelei and Hunter had settled into a rhythm, their days filled with work on the community projects, quiet evenings together, and the deep connection that had only grown stronger since their wedding. The village was thriving under Lorelei’s leadership, and Hunter was proud of everything they had accomplished together, but there was something else stirring within her that neither of them had expected—something they didn’t fully understand yet.It began one quiet evening, a few weeks after their wedding, when Lorelei had been feeling unusually tired. She had chalked it up to the long hours spent organizing projects, coordinating with builders for the school, and overseeing the development of the medical clinic. She’d been working relentlessly, pouring every ounce of her energy into the

The morning of the wedding arrived, bathed in golden light, as if the universe itself was eager to celebrate the union of two souls destined to build a future together. The village, though small, was bustling with excitement.Every corner was adorned with vibrant flowers, and colorful ribbons hung from the trees, swaying gently in the early breeze. A long wooden arch, draped in ivy and blooms, stood proudly at the edge of the riverbank near Lorelei’s grandmother’s house, the place where so much of their love had blossomed. Today, the village would witness the beginning of a new chapter for two of its own—the woman who had long been the heart of the community and the man who had, against all odds, found his place among them. The Brotherhood had arrived earlier in the week, their presence a stark reminder of Hunter’s past, but it was a past he had long made peace with. Casper, Ezekiel, Alejandro, and Alamid were all in attendance, the familiar faces of his old comrades offering Hunter a

The village had become a sanctuary, a place where peace and purpose intertwined. The rolling hills that surrounded the small community seemed to cradle it in their embrace, a world away from the complexities of Hunter’s former life.It was here that he had found the stability he had long craved, and in Lorelei, he had found a partner whose heart matched the warmth of the village itself. Together, they had started something new—a future they both wanted to build from the ground up.Lorelei, ever the visionary, had begun taking charge of organizing community projects. The first priority was to address the village’s need for more accessible education and healthcare. The old schoolhouse was small and outdated, and the nearest clinic was miles away, an inconvenient distance for many of the elderly and young children. Lorelei, with her innate sense of purpose, immediately set her sights on transforming these challenges into opportunities for the village to thrive.Hunter supported her whole

The sun was setting over the village, casting a soft golden light that reflected off the surface of the river. The water flowed gently, a calming rhythm that seemed to match the peace Hunter had found in the small town. It was a stark contrast to the chaos and adrenaline of his previous life. Here, he was simply Hunter. Not the former soldier, not the Brotherhood leader—just a man who had found solace in the quiet beauty of this place, and in the woman standing beside him.Lorelei was standing by the riverbank, her silhouette outlined by the fading light. The breeze played with her hair, sending strands of it dancing around her face. She had always been beautiful to him, but it was in moments like this, in the stillness of the world around them, that he found her more breathtaking than ever. Her strength, her quiet determination, her kindness—they were all there, in the way she moved, in the way she looked at him.Hunter took a deep breath, feeling a rush of emotion swell in his chest

The morning sun gleamed through the large windows of Alamid’s sleek, modern office building. He stood in front of a crowd, a mix of reporters, philanthropists, and high-ranking officials, all gathered to witness what would be another milestone in his rapidly growing empire. His success as a businessman had always been a topic of admiration, but his transformation into a philanthropist was what truly set him apart. As the media cameras flashed, Alamid spoke with the same smooth confidence that had propelled him to the top of the corporate world, but his words today were focused on something more meaningful.“I am deeply honored to announce that, through the generosity of my company and its partners, we are launching a new initiative to support the recovery of survivors of human trafficking. This program will provide housing, education, and therapy for those affected, helping them rebuild their lives with the dignity and opportunity they deserve.”The room filled with applause, and Alam

Casper and Alamid stood in front of a high-rise building that loomed over the city, the glass windows reflecting the waning sunlight. It was a symbol of power, wealth, and corruption—a fitting location for the confrontation they were about to have. The corrupt politician, Eduardo Vasquez, had long been suspected of ties to international trafficking rings, but evidence had been scarce, and his influence was immense.Alamid adjusted his cufflinks, his eyes sharp as they scanned the surroundings. “This is it,” he muttered, more to himself than to Casper.“Yeah,” Casper replied, cracking his knuckles. “And I’ve waited a long time for this.”The two of them had gathered intelligence over the past few weeks, digging through Vasquez’s finances, connections, and business dealings. They knew they were walking into a storm. But they had no choice—Vasquez’s influence had kept the trafficking rings running smoothly, unchallenged, for too long. The time to strike was now. They walked into the buil
