Awakening Optimus

"Is that really Gabriel Gray my boy?" Mr. Wyman asked the moment he saw Gabriel walk into his shop. He left the buyer he was talking to and went to meet Gabriel because it's been three weeks since he last saw Gabriel. Mr. Wyman loves Gabriel a lot he somehow believed that Gabriel would succeed him inasmuch he has passion for robotics and has shown great interest in learning than anyone of his students. Mr. Wyman had trained about seven students but none of them really wanted to learn than Gabriel who never even had to enroll in the lessons: they were all after the certificate from Wyman's company. 

"Yes, uncle Wyman. Good morning. I came to see you for something very urgent and important." Gabriel started talking before Mr. Wyman embraced him. 

"What is it? You look troubled, I can tell." He examined Gabriel immediately after embracing him, whilst his hands was still on his nephew's shoulders. 

"I need you to tell me what to do to stop the spark I normally experience whenever I am about launching my own robot. 

"Your own robot? Do you mean to tell me that you have successfully been able to create one?" His uncle asked with an obviously cheerful look...

"Yes, uncle... I..." Gab stuttered knowing he was finally made him know what he has been keeping a secret from him, but his uncle's responses were quite surprising to him... 

"You created a robot and you have not said anything about it? Gosh, I am so proud of you. Forget about trying to stop it from sparking... I'm going to show you how to keep it alive. Come with me. You should have told me all along, I would have asked that you join the rest of the students who are currently running the advance program. Nevermind, I am going to let you join them from now on."

"No, Uncle. I won't be having the time to join them. You can show me how you do it, I will be able to grasp everything in no time. Time is not on my side, Mr. Wyman." Gabriel sputtered, disagreeing with him absolutely. 

Mr. Wyman halted and briefly looked at him all over again. He was startled by how much confidence Gabriel was able to put up, he said, 

"Impressive. I don't know what you are up to, but please do me a favor by letting me know the outcome and preinforming me on time should anything go wrong contrary to expectations. I wasn't wrong when I decided to let you hang around all these years I've been training students, I wasn't making the wrong decisions afterall. Come, I am going to show you five easy steps but the only challenge I see is that you won't be able to afford the materials needed to execute whatever you have in mind." Mr. Wyman asserted poignantly and led him into one of the training rooms in the shop. Gabriel smiled as he followed behind Wyman, being fully persuaded that he was going to be able to afford whatever he wanted. 

It took six hours of learning, from past ten o'clock in the morning, to finally equip him with all the knowledge he needed, and when he — Mr. Wyman — was done teaching him, he gave him some device with which he could use in getting Optimus up. Gabriel appreciated him immensely before leaving the shop and when he had left, he went straight to LuxPine where Wyman said he purchases everything he has in his shop from. Gabriel went for the most advanced tools needed and he bought the costliest multi-meter, oscilloscope, LED... And when he went for the silver and gold titanium alloys, the man who owns the company came out of his office to see the buyer because those were special and rare that even millionaire's don't go for them. 

"Sir, the price of everything you have selected amounts to $,1.3 billion. Are you sure you can pay for all that?" The owner of LuxPine asked the moment he saw Gabriel. He could not believe Gabriel's response, knowing quite well that this guy should still be a teenager.

"Oh yeah, I have already made the transfer to your system. Please check for confirmation." Gabriel replied and turned to the employee who has been attending to him on the logistics for confirmation of transfered fund and the lady on the desk nodded without hesitation, saying,

"Yes sir, payment confirmed."

The boss of the company looked at Gabriel again and with a respectful look in his eyes, he declared immediately,  "Our staffs are going to help you in the shipping process, no shipping cost is required. We will love to be at your service whenever you need us." 

Gabriel smiled as they shook hands before he left. On his way out, while two male staffs in LuxPine helped him to move his goods, his phone starting vibrating in his pocket, he had to take it out and quickly answered the call, 

"Yeah, Mrs. Finn. How may I..."

"Sir, I'm calling to inform you of a transfer done on your bank account and would love to know if you initiated this transfer because the money is quite a huge sum." Mrs. Finn informed. 

" Yes, I did. I just purchased some materiels to be used in the execution of the project from LuxPine, that's if you have an idea where the company is located." Gabriel uttered hastily while watching them load the things he bought into the trunk of his car. 

"I'd love to look it up. I hope I am not interrupting your day?" She asked in conclusion. 

"No, you are not. I understand you are doing your job. I value your services and shall come over to see you in person by tomorrow. Bye for now." Gabriel asserted while starting his car engine, ready to be on his way back him. 

"Okay, bye." Mrs. Finn said and dropped the call.

Offloading was difficult for Gabriel because the products were weighty in the boxes they were packaged, most especially the titanium alloys which were for the exoskeletal designs and for suiting up Optimus. It was dark already and his father was still not back from work. At first he was worried about his Dad, but when he recalled he said he might be back the following day, he became glad to be home alone at that point in time. The night was even to his advantage that nobody in the neighborhood saw him offload and the street was quiet at past nine that evening: it was as though someone had instructed that people should stay indoors.
