Tely and Molt exchanged a glance, and in that moment, both reached the same grim conclusion: kill the girl and flee Frostmoon territory before word could spread. They both got down from the horses and took out the sword from their sheath.
Maria’s expression darkened. She had gambled everything by revealing her identity. If before they had wanted to capture her, now they would surely try to silence her permanently. But just as the situation reached its breaking point, an arrow whistled through the air. It struck Tely squarely in the head, dropping him instantly. Molt barely had time to react before a second arrow flew toward him. He twisted instinctively, avoiding a fatal blow, but the arrow still pierced his shoulder, sending him reeling. Aaron, calm and focused, nocked another arrow and let it fly. This time, it struck Molt directly in the chest, puncturing through bone and flesh. The bandit collapsed with a grunt, his sword clattering to the ground. Silence fell over the clearing. Aaron descended from the tree with practiced ease, his bow still in hand. He walked toward Maria, his eyes scanning her for injuries before meeting her gaze. "Miss Maria," he said, voice steady, "My name is Aaron, a pioneering knight." Maria looked at Aaron with a slightly dazed expression. The person who had saved her, was a young pioneering knight. Despite her exhaustion and torn clothes, her noble upbringing surfaced. She dismounted gracefully, bowed her head with quiet dignity, and said, "Thank you, Aaron." Her voice was soft but sincere, carrying the weight of gratitude and relief. Aaron nodded, his expression calm. "You're safe now, Miss Maria. But we should leave this place before more trouble finds us." Maria nodded and replied softly, "Indeed." She paused, then asked with a hint of curiosity, "So... where shall we go?" Now that the immediate danger had passed, she allowed herself to relax. Her guard lowered slightly, and her attention shifted to Aaron, not just as her savior, but as someone who might know what to do next. Aaron turned to her and asked, "Miss Maria, do you know the route out of the Dark Forest?" Maria shook her head. "I don’t," she admitted. "But I can say this, it's been barely an hour or so since I entered the forest." Aaron felt a wave of relief. That meant they hadn’t ventured too deep. With the horses, they could likely retrace her path and exit the forest before nightfall. He glanced at Elly, Maria’s white horse, then at the bandits’ steeds. "If we ride swiftly, we can be out of here before the forest turns dangerous." Aaron nodded thoughtfully, then asked, "Miss Maria, do you know anything about a bandit named Spider?" Maria shook her head, her expression uncertain. "Nope. This is the first time I’ve left the Raven Shore on my own. It hasn’t even been two hours, and I was already being chased by a group of bandits." Aaron’s eyes narrowed slightly. "Miss Maria... you said a group of bandits. Doesn’t that mean there were more than just the two we encountered?" Maria’s face paled as realization dawned. "Yes... there were more. I saw at least five when they first ambushed me. But only two chased me into the forest. The others might still be nearby, or waiting somewhere ahead." Aaron subconsciously opened the map and scanned the area. The red dots, had vanished from view, likely out of range. But he knew that once they left the Dark Forest, the chances of encountering them again were high. Still, with his map’s detection radius extending up to a kilometer, he felt reassured. "As long as I stay alert, they won’t catch us off guard." Just then, a soft sound broke the silence. "Grrr..." Aaron turned toward Maria, who immediately blushed, her face turning a shade redder than the setting sun. Her stomach had betrayed her. She looked away, clearly embarrassed. She hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast, and after being chased through the forest all day, her body was finally demanding nourishment. Hearing Maria’s stomach rumble, Aaron couldn’t help but feel his own hunger stir. He glanced at her and said, "Miss Maria, I’m going to hunt some prey. Would you prefer to stay here or follow me?" Maria’s eyes widened in panic. "Hey, don’t abandon me!" she blurted out, stepping closer. "I’ll follow you. Don’t worry, I won’t make a sound." Aaron nodded and said calmly, "Then please follow behind." With that, he walked over to the corpses of the fallen bandits and retrieved the arrows he had fired. Inspecting the arrowheads, he found them still intact. He wiped the blood off with a broad leaf, then returned them to his quiver with practiced ease. His gaze shifted to the two horses still standing nearby, their reins loose and their eyes calm. Without hesitation, he mounted one and turned to Maria. "Miss Maria, please follow behind me." The previous owner of his body had learned horseback riding at a young age. Though the terrain was uneven and the ride bumpy, Aaron handled it with ease. His posture remained steady, his focus sharp. Maria quickly mounted Elly and followed behind. As they rode through the forest, Aaron glanced over his shoulder and asked, "Miss Maria, what’s the closest town or village near the Dark Forest?" His voice was calm, but inside, his thoughts were tangled. Most of the information in his mind was a mess, fragments of his previous life, scattered memories from the body he now inhabited, and little else. The only thing he remembered clearly was that he had left Grey Town four months ago. Maria looked thoughtful for a moment before replying, "I’m not entirely sure. This is my first time venturing out of Raven Shore alone. But I think there’s a small village called Brindle Hollow somewhere near the forest’s edge. I’ve only heard about it from the servants." Aaron nodded slowly. "Brindle Hollow... that might be our best bet."Latest Chapter

Aaron’s eyes narrowed when he heard about the mermen. “Why are those sea creatures occupying the land?” he asked.Ronta replied thoughtfully, “I don’t know for certain. But they appeared ten years ago, likely searching for someone. The good thing is they can’t stray more than ten kilometers from water sources. Konkon Island itself is home to Demi‑humans, and there’s been constant fighting there for the past decade.”Aaron touched his chin. “Is there any mission for clearing the mermen?”Ronta shook his head. “I can’t check those missions, Lord Aaron. My star rating is only two stars.”Aaron opened his Smart Bracelet. “Is there a way to filter missions related to Konkon Island?”Ronta nodded. “Yes, Lord Aaron. You can search the destination from the top right corner.”Following the instructions, Aaron quickly found the listing-- 4‑Star Task - Mission Details: Konkon Island has been invaded by mermen. Eliminate them. - Strength Required: Grand Master Wizard and above. - Task Re
Donto Island Hunt
Half an hour later, the spaceship slowed to a halt. Ronta turned to Aaron and said, “Lord Aaron, we’ve reached the location.”Aaron stepped forward, gazing at the vast island below. Towering trees stretched toward the sky, colorful flowers bloomed in abundance, and flocks of birds soared gracefully overhead. The sheer size of the island stunned him, it was far larger than he had imagined.Ronta explained, “This is Donto Island. Its size is nearly 100,000 square kilometers, and it’s home to countless species of monsters.”He added, “Once you finish your task, send me a message directly. I’ll return to pick you up.”Aaron nodded, then leapt from the spaceship, descending into the wilderness. Immediately, he began to sense the differences in the environment. The air was richer, as though the oxygen content was higher than on his previous planet. The gravity, too, was heavier, about 1.5 times that of Kellar Planet. All around him, new species thrived: exotic plants, vibrant birds, strange
Task
Aaron scrolled through the list of available tasks, surprised to discover that he had the privilege to accept missions up to five‑star difficulty. The classification system stunned him, but the special permission granted eased his mind somewhat.Taking a deep breath, he shifted his focus to the redeemable items. The list was vast, potions, herbs, ores, materials, spells, and even spaceships. His eyes lit up at the thought of owning a spaceship. Though he had reached the Saint Realm in both Wizardry and Knight cultivation, his speed across planets still couldn’t compare to the efficiency of interstellar travel.Checking the requirements, he saw that a spaceship cost 100,000 contribution points. The price was steep. He also searched for Law Stones, crucial for advancing from Grand Master Wizard to Saint Wizard, but they weren’t listed. He realized such resources were tightly controlled. Still, he reassured himself, once he helped Kellar ascend, he could obtain Law Stones through her.Fo
Lucia's Talent
Stella gazed at the potion she had just finished brewing, satisfaction glowing on her face. Her attention shifted toward Hilda’s room, where faint mana fluctuations rippled through the air. Stella was startled, Hilda was breaking through. It had taken Stella three months to reach Wizard level herself, and though her knowledge was shallow, she knew how difficult the process was. To see Hilda advancing so quickly left her stunned.“Five‑star talent is indeed remarkable,” she murmured. Her thoughts drifted back to the day Aaron’s friends, Torvald and Edrin, had their talents tested. Torvald had been revealed as a four‑star talent, while Edrin only two stars. Yet Edrin had shown astonishing progress in Knight training, already reaching the Knight Realm.Stella also recalled others, Kelly, another four‑star talent, and the Rose Guards Aaron had recruited. She had provided them with the Plant Breathing Technique up to Legendary Realm, ensuring they signed contracts. She believed they would

Just then, Aaron heard the system’s voice echo in his mind, “HOST, GET READY TO RECEIVE ALCHEMIST KNOWLEDGE UP TO TIER 7.”Before he could respond, his consciousness was pulled into a mysterious state. He found himself in a vast hall filled with countless books and scrolls, each radiating the aura of alchemy.Without warning, a scroll flew toward him, transformed into a ray of light, and entered his mind. Instantly, he gained knowledge of the Ancient Refining Technique. But that was only the beginning. One by one, scrolls and books soared into him, flooding his mind with endless streams of alchemical wisdom.By the time it ended, Aaron was utterly exhausted. Even with the consciousness of a Saint Tier, he fainted under the overwhelming influx of knowledge. When he finally awoke, his head throbbed painfully. The sheer volume of information he had absorbed was staggering. Yet, he realized he now possessed mastery over herbs up to Tier 7. With a single glance, he could discern their prop
Wizard Level 61
On top of a burning mountain, rivers of lava flowed brightly, casting a crimson glow across the land. At its peak stood a massive castle, blackened by fire yet unyielding. Demons of all shapes and sizes roamed the grounds, but most wore expressions of fear as they gazed at the towering figure before them.He was Norua ten meters tall, with four eyes, one mouth, six arms, and two legs. A single horn jutted from his forehead, glowing blood‑red.Norua’s gaze swept across the trembling demons, most of them low‑tier. His voice thundered, “Have any of you found a way to open the portal to the Northern Universe?”Silence. None dared meet his eyes. Finally, a trembling imp fluttered forward. “Lord Norua, I found one… but I lost contact with them only minutes ago.”Norua’s hand shot out. In an instant, the imp was crushed in his grip. He tossed it into his mouth and chewed, muttering, “Trash.”His gaze turned back to the crowd. “You have one more chance. Use any means necessary to open the por
