Isaiah stood up from the bed, still quiet, and was about to step out the door.

"What do you want to do now?" Luke asked, trailing behind him, alongsideJackson. He got no reply.

"Apologize, bro," Jackson whispered to Luke, loudly enough that he did not have to go too close to his ears just so they could hear him.

Luke had become strangely timid, which was unlike his usual self. Apologies had never been his strong and he knew that even if he did apologize, it would not change a thing of what had happened. But atleast, it was what was expected of him as a friend.

Why? He really couldn't tell. Why were apologies so important? What symbolic message did they pass across that was so valued, especially when they don't fix broken things or possess the power to rewind time to a moment before the mistake was made?

His heart beat faster and faster... until he was incapable of holding himself anymore.

"I'm sorry, Isaiah," he said. "Hey, I really did not know what's in your mind right now, and I

Strangely, Isaiah had the impression that Elena was just telling him exactly the same things the system had been telling him over and over. He thought about the odds of it being a coincidence or not."We're here," Elena said suddenly, pushing the thought in Isaiah's head to one side of his mind. He looked outside. There was a house, a wooden shack in the middle of nowhere. Solitary and seemingly empty, so he thought."Where is this place?" Isaiah's question was a rhetorical question. "It is a house in the middle of nowhere," Elena responded, knowing quite well that he wasn't really talking to her. "This is the place where the ancient scroll of the Mohicans is kept."Wait." Isaiah was about to come down from the car."Don't go down..." Elena holding his arm. "It's not as it looks. It's dangerous if you go down there.""Dangerous? It doesn't look so. It's a wooden shack in the middle of nowhere; how can you say that?"The house looked old. Around it was a wooden fence, made by plank

The car drove far, across the city. It went on for such a long time until light from the sun was beginning to beam from the east side of town."The sun is coming up, Elena," Isaiah said. "Where is this place exactly?"Elena, who was now becoming slightly annoyed at Isaiah inquisitive nature, stared at him with a slight frown. "It's not in this city. It's outside of it. Almost a three-hour drive away from school."For some reason you did not tell me that," Isaiah observed. "Why did you not tell me that? Is there anything you would want to add?"The car stopped. Elena's eyes were glued to the fore. Isaiah wondered why the car stopped so abruptly. "What do you want me to tell you now, Isaiah?""Nothing... Just drive," he said at last, considering that perhaps his questions might be getting out of hand, even though deep down he actually thought it wise to ask questions like that. He did not know where he was going in the first place."Take this," Elena said, dumping a fold of paper on Is

It was all silent in the middle of the night, when the buzzing of his phone right on his body, jerked Isaiah awake. "What's happening?" He mumbled, half asleep, head hanging between his shoulder's as that of a drunk man. He looked at the phone that had waken him up by buzzing, and saw that it was not the low tech phone but his normal android. He grew relieved but drew the phone in to check what had sent it abuzz. There was a message on the screen from Elena. "COME TO THE SCHOOL GATE, NOW!" it said."What do you mean?" He asked himself, staring at the time. "It's 2, o'clock in the morning Elena. Why am I going to be doing by the gate at this time of the morning."But then as he grumbled, wondering what exactly Elena was up to, a thought came up in his mind. "What the hell is Elena doing at the gate in this time of the night?" He asked, his voice barely louder than a whisper.By this time of the morning, the entrance to the dormitories would have already been sealed shut, and there was

The door rings and Kate walks towards it. She peeks through the spyhole in the door and sees Elena right outside. There came a satisfied look on her face, and at once, she opened the door."Welcome, my lady, Elena," she says, bowing down.Elena passes by, exasperated to a considerable degree. She fell right into the couch and lounged on it, eyes straying to the ceiling. "Oh, I wish I could use my powers as soon as possible," she said. "Do you imagine how it felt for me to stand outside the door ringing a bell when I could quite literally just teleport inside the house? It's as terrible as hell, and I have seen the dimension of hell.""Of course, my lady." Kate bowed again. "I sympathize with you. Not using our powers because of the Organization following our trail has made things extremely slow, but we will get right on track soon enough when we make Isaiah into who he is supposed to be.""Yeah, there's also that," Elena mused, bored, hands tracing the air as though she was trying t

Once more, Walter found himself at the losing side of the barrel of the gun. What was it, he thought, that Isaiah had that he did not have? But he was not ready to go down the path of the loser without putting up a fight.Alan winked at him, and again he felt more of a loser than he could ever feel."What is this?" He asked solemnly, raising his head one last time for the rising moon to bless him with light. "Is this some kind of union of losers?""You're still calling us losers, eh?" Isaiah pointed out. "I can tell you still have some fight in you. What else do you have to say?"Walter thought very hard about his predicament, but for obvious reasons he was incapable of thinking very far about it. "You've been moving around with very dangerous people," he managed to say. "It's no wonder your friends are being targeted one by one. As for you, Alan... you think you are on the winning side of this; you have no idea what is coming for you. Isaiah is a criminal, and I can prove it by makin

What came afterwards was the exchange of looks, from Alan to Isaiah, and then to Jackson and Luke. All of them stained with the breath of anxiousness upon their faces."Did you not hear what I just said?" Walter asked, ever so proudly confrontational.Alan remained quiet. He wondered if Isaiah and the rest had heard what Walter had said and watched their reaction. They had, actually, just as he suspected and were only watching what moves Alan would make and what words of denial he would pull out of his mouth to defend himself this time from something that had become exceedingly obvious."I will get there, Walter," Alan said. "Just wait. Where can I meet up with you?""You dipshit," Walter snorted through the phone. "Is that why you took so long answering? Just get to the usual meeting spot, will you?""Okay," Alan said, switching off the phone."That was a very charming conversation you had there," Luke teased. "Care to tell us where this special meeting place is now, Alan?"Alan was
