Ria turned back to her friends, folding her arms like a Queen overseeing her kingdom.
“Don’t worry, girls. Terry is going to get this scoundrel out of here. Who knows, he would want to get into our party using force?” Ron almost rolled his eyes at Ria, but he controlled himself. There was no use talking brain-rot with someone like her. And now, he was concerned about Elena who hadn't stepped out of the house ever since. Did she notice Ria or was she just taking too long? So, he turned around, wanting to go back in to find her. Of course, he wouldn't let Ria see her. All he wanted to do was make sure she was safe. But as soon as he stepped back, Ria came barreling toward him. “Where are you going? Are you trying to run away before the guards get here?” She yelled, her voice echoing through the open air of the estate. Ron stared at her, his brows creased, “You know, if the guards were to come here, you would be the one thrown out, right?” “Really? Do you even have the power to call the guards over? No one knows you here.” Ria sneered. “I see you also don’t have the power to…” Ron chuckled, his eyes going over her friends who were watching them like hawks. “Why don’t you tell your friends the guards ignored you?” “It would save you the stress.” Ria shook, hot blood running through her veins. She was also embarrassed, thinking Ron had heard her conversation earlier. She thought she had been discreet. She breathed heavily, her friends quickly crowded around her, wondering if he was telling the truth as Ron strolled back into his house. Ria shook her head, not allowing them to believe Ron’s misleading words. The minute they knew she had no real power, they would leave her in the dumps. She didn't want that. She enjoyed the attention they served her. She enjoyed being the center of attraction too. To her favor, her eyes caught the burly guards sent by Terry approaching, and she smiled, “Not so fast, Ron!” She rushed forward and yanked him by his collar, dragging him back almost to the car bonnet. However, Ron’s eyes dimmed and he spun his body around, catching her wrist. His grip tightened around her wrist, sucking up the blood beneath her skin. “Don’t you dare touch me! Ever!” He warned before flinging her away like paper. “Scram!” He yelled at her, the veins in his head bulging. Ria’s butt hit the floor with a loud thud, sitting just before her friends who all stared at the raging Ron in disbelief. They could feel the shiver that ran down their spine and even Ria almost peed her pants when she saw the sheer wickedness and hate in Ron’s eyes. He looked like the god of death, with the way he breathed heavily with his fists tight. He was ready to take her soul because she touched him. “Ria!” Terry’s voice echoed in the air and she saw him running behind the guards. She quickly stood up, hot tears falling down her cheeks in seconds. “Babe…” She cried, running to embrace him. “Look what he did to me.” She stretched her bruised wrist forward which had now turned blue. Terry seethed, his eyes going dark as he stared at Ron, “You bastard!” He rushed forward, his fists clenching, wanting to deal a hit on Ron. But just a few steps away from Ron, he stopped, goosebumps lining his skin. One look from Ron and he felt like his soul was leaving his body. This was almost the same feeling he had on his wedding when Ron appeared. Just who was this man who could halt him with just his gaze? Ron was now daring him to come closer, but he knew if he did, he would get his soul sucked out. But how could he lose face before these pretty girls and his wife? Never! So, he rushed in, his fist aiming for Ron’s nose. He could see his target, close and unattainable but suddenly, everything turned black. Bang! His body hit the floor, blood dripping from his nose like a dam and Ria screaming. “Terry! Are you okay?” She knelt beside him, holding his broken nose so it wouldn’t fall off. “That…that murderer…” Terry pointed shakily as tears ran down his face. “What…what kind of power is that?” Ria pursed her lips, also crying and she looked at Ron who stood innocently, like he hadn't just dealt a fatal blow to her husband. “This is why I hate you, Ron. You don’t know when to stop.” She seethed. “I don’t want you to like me, anyway. It’s all good.” He shrugged and turned around, dusting his hands like he had just finished a job. Ria detested seeing him leave. She stared at the guards with a sharp gaze, “Aren’t you all going to get him?” The guards looked at each other, their gaze fearful. They didn't dare step forward, after all, they had seen the tattoo on Ron’s arm when they arrived. “Ma’am, I think we have to take our leave now.” They bowed sharply and before Ria could say anything, they rushed back, abandoning their duties to stay by Terry’s side. “Come back here! You bastards!” She screamed but they didn't dare look back. Ron walked into the house, but it was silent as if there was no one there. Elena should have been dressed and waiting. He waited a few minutes at her door before knocking on it gently. However, the door was unlocked and it pushed open slightly. The room was scattered, the window which had been safely secured was now ajar. She was gone.

Elena Is Our Enemy
Ron’s jaw clenched as he calmly shut the door to Elena’s room. There was no use running after her and her sudden escape had only confirmed something he had been suspecting. Elena wasn’t pretending. She knew exactly what she was doing and she knew Hera was her daughter. She may have been weak when she stood before Nathan West, but ever since they got back to the house, Ron had noticed how sharp and attentive she was. Her movements were quick and swift and her words piercing. She didn't seem like a normal maid. It was also commendable that she was able to escape under his watch. “What are you hiding, Elena?” He whispered to himself as he went back to his room. He took the small ziplog bag he had in his bedside drawer, raising it in the air to inspect it. For the years he had spent in prison, he had learned to never trust what he saw and he would always have a backup plan. The bag contained Elena’s hair which he had secretly taken when she was not looking and now, whether she liked

What About Elena?
Ron pursed his lips as he looked from the phone and back to Ria, “Why should I answer you?” “What?” Ria gasped. “Who gave you the balls to be so defiant?” “Defiant?” He shrugged. “I just don't answer to you, that’s it.” “But you must answer to this, Ron.” Ria snarled. “Why were you with Mr. Hunter and even Nathan West was bowing to you! Is there something you are hiding from me?” Ron couldn't help but see Ria for who she was now. She thought she had the world under her feet and she had control over everything. But then, he decided to test her, to push her over the edge to confirm his suspicion. “I don’t know Hunter.” He said. “But I went there to see Nathan West specifically. After all, you told me Elena was with the West family.” “Elena?” Her friends gasped, looking at each other fearfully. Ron quickly caught their expressions and was about to ask questions when Ria cut in. “What…what about Elena? Did you find her?” Her eyes darted around nervously. Ron studied her express

“What do you mean?” Ron frowned. “You know Ria, right? I used to be Ria’s boyfriend.” “I…I don’t know what you are talking about.” Elena shook her head, her eyes darting to look away. Ron pursed his lips, looking from Hera to Elena. Yes, Hera had some similar features with Ria but looking at Elena, she could see how they looked so much alike. He was convinced Elena was Ria’s mother. But it didn't seem like Elena was faking her words. She didn't even bat an eye when she spoke in Hera’s face. “Don’t you see the resemblance—”“Look, Mr. Ron…” Elena took a deep breath, her fists clenching beside her. “I appreciate that you bought me off like a commodity but you can’t force an identity on me.” “I am not anyone’s sister or mother and I certainly do not know you.”As soon as she was done speaking, she walked past Ron but he quickly caught her by the arm. “Where are you going?” He raised a brow at her. “You can’t step into that house anymore.”“Why? Because you bought me?” Elena sneered
