Dante frowned at Leon’s reaction to his question and immediately threw a book at him. “Oh, come on! Wipe that face off. I know possession isn’t real. I’m just trying to make sense of whatever sorcery you pulled back there.”

Leon raised a brow, and blinked in realization. ‘Oh, it was a joke. He thinks it’s a joke. That’s… convenient.’

“Let’s just say I’ve been occupied,” Leon said, voice calm, unbothered. “I need power. I need wealth. And in this world, I need to understand how to take it.”

Dante chuckled, shaking his head. “Wow… I see. No wonder. The way I see it, you’re already on the right track. I mean, you have fifty million now, Leon. Fifty. In a single day, you’ve become a millionaire, and that’s beyond insane. With this new skills of yours, Leon, I think you can have all the wealth in the world.”

“Healing skills?” Leon furrowed his brows. “It’s a great deal here, huh?”

Dante laughed. “Are you kidding? Today, you cured an illness that should have been impossible with a touch. An

“I told you to keep your eyes on Zane Jones,” Jarvis said with a measured tone edged with intensity. “I’m extremely curious about that town. There’s something about it that doesn’t sit right with me.”Kane nodded in agreement. “You’re not wrong, Mr. Grave. Scorchfield is… unsettling. My men said it’s hard to stay there for long. The atmosphere alone feels wrong. As for Zane…” he paused briefly, then continued, “he’s dead.”Jarvis froze. “Dead?”“Yes,” Kane confirmed. “Unfortunately, we don’t know how it happened. All we could uncover is that he was hiding from someone… or something.”Jarvis leaned back into his chair, his brows knitting together as his thoughts spiraled. “Scorchfield,” he murmured. “A lawless town beyond order. I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of secrets buried in a place like that.” He straightened slightly and looked at Kane. “Proceed carefully. Be subtle. I have a feeling whatever is hidden there is dangerous… something beyond ordinary human understanding.”

The next day, Alanah left Leon’s home without informing him. When Leon eventually noticed her absence, he immediately instructed someone to make sure she arrived safely on her journey back home. After that, he prepared himself and headed straight to Diane’s residence. When he arrived, he knocked softly on the door.Inside, Diane was already fully dressed and ready to leave for her plans with Sophia, plans she needed to carry out quickly since time was not on her side.“Didn’t you hear a car pull up?” Donald Lancaster asked as he walked over to the window. A moment later, he frowned slightly. “That’s a black Rolls Royce… Diane?”Another knock sounded, drawing everyone’s attention back to the door.“It looks like you have a visitor, Diane,” Abigail said excitedly. “I bet it’s Leon.”Diane blinked, her mind flashing back to her last meeting with Leon, him offering her the keys to a new house, and her turning him down. She hadn’t told her parents a single word about that encounter. She si

“I do love you, Isabella,” he murmured to himself, eyes fixed on her as she stood waiting for her driver, completely unaware that she was being watched. “But not enough. You were never more than a prize to be taken… and I don’t lose what I’ve claimed so easily.”A bitter chuckle slipped from his lips. “Isabella, Isabella… you’re lucky you’re not the one I’m checking off my list tonight.”Moments later, her driver arrived. She stepped into the car, the door closed, and the vehicle pulled away, disappearing down the street.Victor let out a slow breath and turned his gaze elsewhere, remaining where he was.Less than thirty minutes passed before the person he had been waiting for finally appeared. A low chuckle escaped him as he stepped out from the corner where he had kept himself hidden.“Hey, Julian.”Julian rolled his eyes at the sound of the familiar voice and turned toward him. “You’re still here,” he said flatly, irritation clear in his tone.Victor walked closer, nodding once. “Y

“Oh, that’s good,” Julian Hayes said into his phone, nodding once in clear satisfaction before ending the call. The private suite was dimly lit, washed in warm amber light that reflected off glass walls overlooking the city below. Leather couches curved around a low marble table with half-empty bottles, crystal tumblers, and melting ice.Brianna was curled comfortably against Julian on the couch, one leg draped over his lap as she traced lazy circles on his arm. “What was that about?” she asked, tilting her head up to look at him.Julian’s expression darkened slightly as he set his phone down. “Victor.”Isabella, seated across from them with a glass of sparkling water in hand, stiffened. Her eyes widened almost imperceptibly. “Victor?” she repeated. “Why? Oh God, don’t tell me he’s still in the group chat.”Julian let out a short scoff as he leaned forward to grab a beer from the ice bucket beside the table. He popped it open. “Of course he is. That’s the whole point. Let him watch.

It was late in the evening… Victor Marston arrived at Empire, the upscale bar he used to treat like his personal playground back when he still had money, status, and a last name that commanded respect. This was the meeting spot he saw in the group chat, and he knew the guys were already upstairs in one of the VIP rooms. He straightened his shoulders and walked inside, trying to act like nothing had changed But the second he stepped in, eyes turned because they all knew him. Two girls near the bar whispered behind their glasses. “That’s Victor Marston, right?” “Mm-hmm. The one who used to throw drinks at waiters?” “Did you see the news? His family went bankrupt in just hours all thanks to Azrael.” “Good for him. Karma always loops back.” Victor felt the sting of their voices but kept walking, jaw tight. A group of guys spotted him next and one nudged another. “Yo, isn’t that the idiot who tried to get the bouncer fired last year?” “Let him try that now. Hey, I'm pretty sure

“Subordinates?” Vance repeated, a displeased frown cutting across his face. “I don’t think you have the slightest idea what you’re talking about, Mr. Ash… or Azrael, whatever you claim to be.” They were currently in his private courtyard, a quiet, open-air space behind the residence. A rectangular blackstone table sat at the center of the courtyard, its surface smooth enough to mirror the half moon in the sky. Leon sat at the head of the table, relaxed against the chair while Vance sat opposite him with Levi and Harry standing tall behind him. “I’m not being… ridiculous here, Mr Calenne,” Leon said calmly. “And I know exactly what I’m talking about.” Vance exhaled slowly and shook his head. “No, you don’t. I am an Olyndra ambassador on official mission here in Velmaria. That is the extent of my mandate.” Leon bobbed his head in understanding, unfazed by his attitude. “Exactly why I want you to work for me instead.” Levi and Harry exchanged a quick glance, both intrigued.
