"Give me that woman now!" the burly man bellowed, his eyes ablaze.

The woman behind Dave clutched his shirt even tighter, trembling with fear.

Dave sighed. He looked at the burly man with a flat gaze. "Before I hand her over," Dave said, his voice calm, "I want to know what's really going on here. Why is she running in fear?"

The burly man laughed, a mocking sound. "None of your business!" He didn't want to waste time with pleasantries. This was his business. His. "Hand her over or I'll make you regret it!"

Before Dave could respond, the burly man lunged. He swung a powerful punch towards Dave's face. Dave dodged swiftly. He didn't want a fight here, but he had no choice. The woman behind him shrieked in terror.

Moments later, three other men emerged from the shattered doorway. All were big and tattooed, their faces contorted with rage. They must have been the burly man's associates. They saw the woman behind Dave, and without a second thought, they ganged up on Dave.

A bright morning. Serena had already arrived at the cafe, ten minutes ahead of their appointment. She chose a table in the corner, by the window, from where she could watch the entrance. The clock hit precisely nine. Serena held her breath. Would the weird guy who'd stalked her last night dare to be late? Or would he show up right on time? The cafe door opened. Dave walked in, and beside him, Milla strode in cheerfully. Serena couldn't hide her irritation. She wanted to meet Dave alone, not with this noisy girl.Dave saw Serena, then gave a faint smile. "Morning, Serena."Serena just nodded, her expression flat, as if she wasn't in the mood for small talk.Milla, sensing the tension, immediately bowed her head, respectfully greeting Serena. She then extended her hand, her smile friendly. "Hi, Serena. I'm Milla. Mr. Dave's friend."Serena was surprised by Milla's politeness. She hadn't expected Milla to act this way. This time, with the situation a bit different, Serena accepted the ha

Before Serena could even throw a slap, Dave suddenly pulled out a small notebook and a pen from his pocket. Quickly, he started writing. Dave's hand moved fast, jotting down a few herbal plant names and brief instructions, as if completely unfazed by Serena's anger.Serena was shocked to see Dave writing a recipe instead. "What the hell is this?!" She pulled her shirt down, covering her stomach area. "What are you writing?!"Dave didn't answer. He finished writing, tore off the page, and handed it to Serena. "Drink this," Dave said, his tone casual. "It's a natural recipe for your constipation."Serena's eyes went wide. She read the writing on the paper. "For constipation?! Are you insulting me?! I don't have constipation!" Her face flushed with embarrassment and anger. How could this weird guy, after all he'd done, just write a recipe for constipation?! It was a total insult.Milla, who had been watching the drama unfold, stepped forward. She knew Dave wouldn't do something without a

Serena wasted no time. She rushed out of the room, past Max, who was still standing silently. The shock and turmoil in her heart were too immense to process. She had to get out of there. Right now.She didn't care about Dave or anyone else anymore. She just wanted to get away from Matteo, from those two weird women, and from the stench of degradation clinging to her.Once outside the building, Serena immediately pulled out her phone, her hands trembling. Quickly, she dialed her most trusted colleague."Jimmy! Pick up! Pick up!' Serena mumbled, anxious.A few rings later, Jimmy's voice came through. "Serena?! Where are you?! We've been panicking! Why did you disappear?!""Jimmy! Listen to me!" Serena cut him off, her voice hoarse, but firm. "I've got a lot of intel! Super important stuff! I'm on A Street, near the fast-food place."Jimmy, knowing this was no time for jokes, immediately replied. "Okay! I'm on my way! Don't move!"Serena breathed a sigh of relief. She walked a little fur

Matteo snarled. His anger boiled over. He felt humiliated, toyed with, and openly disrespected. Even worse, how could his body respond so completely out of his control? Those two strange women, whose looks were utterly outside Matteo's beauty standards—even leaning towards terrifying—were able to tempt him this far? This was the deepest humiliation for Matteo Anderson. He couldn't resist, even though rage burned through every inch of his nerves.Dave remained calm, holding his phone, recording every detail of the scene. A thin, triumphant smile never left his lips. He knew the effect of the drug he'd blown wouldn't wear off. There was no antidote. Matteo would remain under its influence until Dave got what he wanted."Tell me where Serena Miller is," Dave said, his voice calm yet carrying an undeniable command. "Then all this will end."Matteo snarled. His eyes bulged, yet even as he continued to indulge the two strange women, it was clear he was under an invisible compulsion. He tri

Dave and Milla pulled up to the towering skyscraper, the headquarters of Matteo Corporation. The building was grand and modern, clearly showcasing Matteo's enormous, legitimate-looking front. But behind all that flash, Dave knew there was some truly disgusting dirty business happening. They stopped right in front of the lobby. Dave looked at Milla. "You know the drill, right?"Milla nodded. "Oh, absolutely, Sir. This is my favorite part." A sly grin played on her lips.Milla hopped out of the car first. She strode gracefully into the lobby, radiating the aura of a confident, professional career woman. Her new look, from her clothes to her hair, completely transformed her. She looked high-class and totally not to be messed with.Dave waited in the car, keeping an eye on things from a distance. The two odd characters who'd been waiting for them at the apartment lobby were now in position, just as Dave had instructed. They weren't bodyguards, though... they were something else.Milla wal

This morning, Dave took Milla somewhere, not bothering to explain where they were headed."Sir, where are we going?" Milla asked, a little confused.Dave just gave a faint smile. "Somewhere before we make our move."A few minutes later, the taxi pulled up in front of a luxury car dealership. Its massive windows showcased gleaming rows of cars from every brand imaginable. Milla frowned."A car? You're buying a car?" Milla asked, totally skeptical and a little shocked. Dave was loaded, for sure. But he wasn't the type to flash his cash, especially not with some flashy ride.Dave just nodded."Wait, seriously? You're actually buying a car?" Milla was baffled. "Don't you usually prefer to walk everywhere? You said it's easier to blend in, or to get a better read on the situation. This..." She gestured to the dealership in front of them. "This isn't your style at all."Dave got out of the taxi. "This time, I need a car," he said curtly, offering no further explanation. His expression was s
