"Shameless brat," Drakon cursed, feeling the urge to kick open the door and go in to beat the hell out of that boy.

He did not need anyone to tell him. He already knew this was the doing of Liam, Morgana's annoying younger brother.

Drakon clenched his fist tightly. If this were his own house, he wouldn’t tolerate such nonsense for a second.

But sadly, he no longer even owned a place of his own.

This was Morgana’s house and with her mother and brother staying with them, he couldn't speak against it.

He walked past the room in quick steps. The more he heard that rubbish sound coming from there, the more irritated he became.

Now standing in front of their room, the smile on his face brightened, not allowing the earlier incident to spoil his mood.

"Here I come," he whispered as he carefully fixed the flower bouquet in his hand to look neater.

As his hand reached the doorknob, his heart started to beat faster. A warm sensation surged through his chest.

Nervousness took hold of him as he gently pushed the door open, unable to contain the overwhelming excitement building inside him any longer.

"SURPRISE!" he shouted loudly into the room, his tone and face radiating so much joy.

Just then, his expression changed to a strange one, too complicated to understand.

The smile on his face vanished in an instant.

"..." He opened his mouth several times, but words failed to come out.

His heart quaked with pain. It felt as though a sharp blade had been stabbed straight into it.

On their matrimonial bed, two fully naked bodies could be seen, deeply engrossed in each other.

They were so lost in it that they didn’t even notice another presence entering the room despite his voice.

He stood there frozen on the spot, his eyes unblinking, glued to the bodies entangled with each other.

Everything around him seemed to stop.

The only sounds that could be heard were the movement of the bed, the rhythm of skin against skin, and the low moans of a woman.

Right there on the bed was a beautiful woman, none other than Morgana, his wife, being devoured by another man.

Thud!

The flowers and shopping bags slipped from his shaking hands and hit the floor.

At that moment, his head and mind went blank. "Morgana!" He didn’t know when he subconsciously screamed her name.

As though struck by lightning, the two who were so engrossed in each other immediately separated in shock, turning their heads simultaneously toward the direction of the voice.

"Dra... Drakon…" she stammered, clearly shocked, not knowing what to say.

Soon, the shock on her face faded away as if she didn’t care she had been caught.

Then, looking at the man beside her, she asked, "I thought you locked the door?"

"Oh, my bad, don’t blame me. You should know I was too carried away with you and your killer body," the man replied with a sneer, licking his lips as his eyes shamelessly roamed over her naked body, eager to continue from where he stopped without minding Drakon’s presence.

"Morgana, why? Why?" Drakon said in a low voice, his heart and body trembling, tears already starting to fall from his eyes.

He still couldn’t believe it. It felt like a nightmare. His wife in bed with another man?!

Never in his wildest imagination would he have thought of her doing such a thing to him, yet here was the undeniable reality before his eyes.

"Why are you questioning me, huh?" she fired back harshly, without an iota of remorse in her eyes. "Is this not my house? I can do whatever I want."

At her words, his heart shattered. The woman he loved so dearly, the one who had treated him with love and supported him even when everyone looked down on him—

—was the same woman now speaking to him coldly, without denying her actions or showing any guilt.

Suddenly, Drakon burst into laughter like someone who had gone insane.

"To think I was a fool to trust you! Morgana, I loved you with all my heart and did everything to satisfy you. Here you are, not just cheating but doing it openly in our matrimonial bed."

"We’ve been married for four... four good years. Tell me, where did I ever go wrong?"

So broken, he couldn’t stop unleashing everything inside him with tears dropping from his eyes.

Morgana was lost for words. Her brow twitched as her body trembled slightly after hearing him speak in such a state but she quickly regained herself, pushing away any rising emotions that will make her feel guilty.

"Our matrimonial bed?" she repeated with a cold laugh. "Drakon, wake up. This isn't your house. I own everything here. It’s all mine."

As if she were on a mission to break him even more, she continued,

"So what if you love me? What can love do? Does love pay the bills? Will love get me the life I deserve? The luxurious lifestyle? Vacations? Jewelry? Can love make me look as beautiful as other women?"

She pointed to the fallen shopping bags.

"For three years, all you’ve gotten me are cheap accessories and worthless gifts that aren’t even worth a thousand dollars. Probably the same trash you brought today and you dare call that love? If that is your way of showing love then go out there and showered it on another lady not me. I don’t want it," she said emotionlessly.

The man on the bed remained silent, watching them with a dark smile.

Drakon was taken aback. So that was it? This bitch had been hiding her true self all along? So for the past three years, she had always had that thought?

How did I not see it? How did I let myself get played by her?! He thought of everything.

In just a single minute, the past three years flashed through his mind.

"Is that the foolish excuse you want to give?!" His fist clenched and unclenched again and again.

Then he burst into loud, crazy laughter.
