This was supposed to be a peaceful lunch. But the moment the man appeared, Helena’s expression immediately changed.

Based on her past experiences, dealing with Harris was never pleasant. He came from one of the wealthy families and had a habit of looking down on women.

“If you wanted to eat here, you should’ve told me. I could have arranged everything to make it more romantic.” Harris pulled out a chair and sat down, blocking Owen’s view of Helena.

But things didn’t go the way he expected when someone suddenly pulled his chair backward.

“It’s extremely rude to interrupt someone else’s lunch,” Owen said.

Now he found himself staring directly at Harris.

All his life, Harris had always tried to assert his authority and make others listen to him. Yet just now, a man he didn’t even know had casually pulled his chair away. It had bruised his pride and infuriated him.

“Someone insignificant like you should just leave.” Harris waved his hand dismissively toward Owen before turning his attention back to Helena.

Harris didn’t want another man interfering with his time with her. Having the chance to spend time alone with Helena was far too valuable.

“How about going shopping with me after lunch? I’ll buy you plenty of jewelry.” His voice softened as he gave Helena a playful wink.

“You know, I’m not lacking money at all, and you’re being extremely rude.” Helena sneered as she glanced at Owen.

She was quite impressed by Owen’s strength and calm demeanor. The way he had handled Harris had already left a strong impression on her.

Harris suppressed his anger. If he hadn’t remembered that Helena came from the Lockwood family and could potentially help him become the heir to his own family, he wouldn’t have hesitated to lash out at her.

Harris’s jaw tightened.

“I know, but I’m the right man for you. The two of us could make an incredible couple.” He confidently extended his hand.

Helena sighed. This kind of thing happened to her all the time—having to listen to men she had no interest in rambling on.

She looked at Owen.

“Unfortunately, I already have a fiancé.” She gestured toward Owen. “Let me introduce you. This is my fiancé, Owen.”

Harris’s expression immediately changed. He looked Owen up and down, noticing that his clothes looked fairly ordinary and nowhere near as expensive as his own.

His jaw tightened further.

“How could a beggar like him possibly be your fiancé?” he said loudly. “If you’re looking for a husband, you should choose someone better and more refined. Someone like me.”

Harris continued to emphasize the difference between himself and Owen, convinced that he was far superior.

Helena suddenly laughed at his words.

“You think you’re worthy of me?”

Harris looked at her.

“Yes, I’m worthy of being with you. Together, we would become even more powerful.”

Helena’s gaze grew colder than before. She crossed her arms, releasing a suffocating aura that made it clear he had seriously overstepped his bounds.

“No. You’re not worthy of being with me. You only want to take advantage of the power I have. Now get out of here.”

This time, she spoke more firmly and harshly than usual. Helena normally came up with other excuses to avoid being with this man, but having to deal with his repeated harassment had become extremely annoying.

To Harris, her words were a humiliation. Naturally, he couldn’t accept them. He turned his sharp gaze toward Owen again.

“Him? He’s poorer than I am. He doesn’t even look like he comes from a respectable family.” He suddenly grabbed Owen by the collar. “You’re only after Helena’s wealth.”

But things didn’t go as easily as Harris had expected. The moment Owen grabbed his wrist, Harris immediately felt a sharp pain.

“Get lost.”

Owen spoke in a low, cold voice before sending Harris crashing to the floor. His backside hurt from the fall, and he quickly rubbed it several times.

“Damn it… damn it… You’re really challenging me.”

He quickly got back to his feet.

“Are you really Helena’s boyfriend?”

Owen was just about to respond when a notification appeared in front of him.

[Develop your relationship with Helena Lockwood and unlock another divine bloodline]

Owen’s brow furrowed slightly as he read the message. So far, he had two divine bloodlines, and it was surprising to learn that he apparently possessed the bloodline of another god as well.

He swallowed.

“Yes. Helena is my girlfriend.”

Helena was actually quite surprised by Owen’s firm declaration, but she remained composed.

“He’s my boyfriend. Now leave and stop bothering us.” Helena felt that this unimportant guest had already wasted far too much of their time.

When Harris looked back toward their table, he became even more furious. He kicked Owen’s chair.

“I don’t believe this. You’re nothing but a coward who has nothing.” He then took off the brooch he was wearing.

“You know what this is? It’s worth one million dollars. You’ll be rich if you take it. As long as you leave this place, I’ll give it to you.” He looked at Owen triumphantly.

“Now take it.”

He tossed the brooch onto the floor.

Harris thought the man in front of him would chase after the diamond brooch he had thrown like a dog.

His eyes immediately lit up with satisfaction when he saw Owen stand up from his seat.

But contrary to his expectations, Owen grabbed him by the collar and threw him toward the brooch.

“Pick it up yourself.”
