Everyone present was shocked by what had just happened. Meanwhile, Helena lightly applauded.

Harris felt utterly humiliated. His body still hurt from being thrown by Owen, but he immediately got back to his feet.

“How dare this bastard! Do you really have no idea who I am?”

“I don't know, and I don't care,” Owen replied immediately.

Harris's anger grew even worse. With a furious shout, he charged straight at Owen. He was determined to take the man down and make him beg for mercy.

Owen didn't even need to move from his spot. As Harris attacked, Owen effortlessly deflected his strike. Then, with a swift kick, he sent Harris crashing to the ground.

“Ah, can't you even walk properly?” Owen asked in a mocking tone.

Harris's face turned bright red. He had never been humiliated like this in his entire life. Just as he was about to attack again, Helena was already standing beside Owen.

“Look at you. You're even pathetic when it comes to strength. You're completely useless.” She scoffed.

“Helena!” he shouted, trying to get Helena to look at him.

But the woman had already called several restaurant security guards and pointed at Harris.

“Throw him out, and make sure he never comes back here again.”

Helena's order was immediately carried out by the three security guards. They grabbed Harris and restrained him, making it difficult for him to move.

“Get your hands off me! You can't treat a customer like this! And you, Helena—you shouldn't be acting like this. Just who do you think you are?”

The man no longer cared about trying to win Helena over.

“Who?” Helena sneered. “I'm a Lockwood. And I'm also the owner of this restaurant.”

Her attitude remained completely casual, but her words immediately silenced Harris.

Once the man was finally dragged out of the restaurant, peace was restored.

Owen and Helena sat down again. The two looked at each other.

“Don't you believe that this restaurant belongs to me?” Helena asked.

Owen shook his head, his expression calm.

“You're a Lockwood. Of course you could own plenty of restaurants like this.”

Helena laughed out loud, clearly amused by Owen's response.

However, Owen's attention was focused on what appeared in front of him. A new notification had just arrived.

[Mission completed. A positive relationship has been established.]

[You have received one lottery card.]

Owen's eyes widened. He hadn't expected to receive a reward like this.

Before he could say anything, a small black card suddenly appeared in his hand.

“What is that?” Helena's voice startled him.

Owen immediately looked up. Clearly, Helena could see the card in his hand.

“Oh, this? It's a card from a friend of mine.” Owen quickly made up an excuse and slipped the card into his wallet.

He would scratch the card later, when he was alone.

Elsewhere, Sarah sat with several people in front of her, all of them wearing grim expressions.

“I told you from the beginning that we should get rid of him as soon as possible. You kept delaying it, and now we're the ones in trouble,” Anne said.

“Mom, if we rush into it, we won't be able to get rid of the evidence,” Reinard replied. His expression looked just as grim.

“Ugh! Look at what's happening now! That man has changed, so how are we supposed to get any more money from him?” Anne snapped, refusing to accept her son's reasoning.

This time, Sarah stepped forward. She had been thinking about it the entire time, and she couldn't shake the uneasy feeling in her chest.

“Mom is right. If we leave things like this, that bastard will only become more troublesome for us.” Sarah stared sharply at Reinard.

Anne fell silent for a moment before speaking.

“We have to do it tonight. We need to silence him for good.”

“Are you serious, Mom?” Reinard asked.

His expression was both firm and anxious.

Anne nodded, then motioned for the two of them to come closer. She lowered her voice before speaking.

“We know the layout of his house, so it’ll be easy for us to sneak in.”

Hearing that, the other two smiled.

“I have the back door key. So we can get in from behind and then kill him. Besides, no one else will come looking for him, right?” Anne’s wide grin made the others smile as well.

The plan sounded perfectly reasonable to them. Their spirits rose again, and they immediately began preparing for their mission.

In the quiet of midnight, three masked figures had just entered through the back door. They immediately crept toward Owen’s bedroom.

The door slowly opened, and Reinard, who was holding a pillow, suddenly leaped onto the bed and covered Owen’s face with it.

“Die,” he whispered, the veins in his neck bulging with tension.

This was supposed to be a peaceful lunch. But the moment the man appeared, Helena’s expression immediately changed.Based on her past experiences, dealing with Harris was never pleasant. He came from one of the wealthy families and had a habit of looking down on women.“If you wanted to eat here, you should’ve told me. I could have arranged everything to make it more romantic.” Harris pulled out a chair and sat down, blocking Owen’s view of Helena. But things didn’t go the way he expected when someone suddenly pulled his chair backward.“It’s extremely rude to interrupt someone else’s lunch,” Owen said. Now he found himself staring directly at Harris. All his life, Harris had always tried to assert his authority and make others listen to him. Yet just now, a man he didn’t even know had casually pulled his chair away. It had bruised his pride and infuriated him.“Someone insignificant like you should just leave.” Harris waved his hand dismissively toward Owen before turning his attenti

Sarah had been standing in front of Owen’s house for twenty minutes. She had dressed herself up beautifully, hoping Owen would be impressed the moment he saw her.“Why is it taking him so long to open the door?” She nervously bit her fingernail.Ever since Owen had broken up with her and kicked her out, she had felt strange. Sarah couldn’t accept what had happened because she had lost her personal ATM. It was strange how their entire plan had suddenly fallen apart.Sarah looked toward the door again.“Is he not home?” she muttered with a groan.“No. No. There’s no way he’s with Helena Lockwood!” Sarah stomped her foot as she remembered what her brother had told her. After breaking up with him, there was no way Owen could possibly be with a woman from such an influential family.“He loves me so much. He’d do anything for me. I know what he’s doing now is just to make me jealous,” she muttered. At that exact moment, the door finally opened. Owen immediately saw her, and his expression t

“N-No… that’s impossible.” Wales stared at Helena in shock. He shook his head, lightly tugging at his own hair.“There’s no way a woman like you would want Owen. You must be lying.”Helena continued to hold Owen’s arm, a sweet smile on her face.“Owen is a kind and wonderful man. Anyone would want to be with him.”Everything about this was a surprise to Owen. He listened carefully to her words but never expected her to defend him. The two of them weren’t even in a relationship. This was the first time they had met.“I guess I’m lucky I broke up with Sarah,” Owen finally said.Wales was completely bewildered. He had never expected something like this to happen. Just a few days ago, he still remembered how Owen had apologized to his sister.Owen had been willing to do anything because he loved Sarah.Wales quickly realized that he was about to lose his source of money as well. Panic flashed across his eyes as he looked at Owen again.“You shouldn’t be acting so arrogant. If you keep thi

The introduction seemed to hang in the air, leaving Owen speechless. He remembered the name. The Lockwood family was quite famous in his city.Is she really that Lockwood? he wondered.Helena withdrew her hand and then took something from her bag.“This is my business card, and I’d like to give you a gift.”Owen took the business card in confusion. He looked at the details printed on it: Helena Lockwood, along with the name of her company, Saint Muse.Owen’s eyes widened as he looked at Helena. He was certain now that Helena truly came from the Lockwood family.“You really don’t need to give me a gift, Miss.” Owen remained polite.Helena shook her head. “No. I’m still going to give you a gift. Come to my company. I need to prepare the gift for you first.”Owen had no intention of refusing Helena again, but he was curious about why she was being so insistent.“I only returned your bag, Miss.”Helena finally let out a sigh. She was a polite and well-mannered woman despite being extremel

He had driven them out, but Owen knew very well that he wouldn’t be able to get rid of them that easily. Looking around his house, he realized there were still plenty of ways for them to cause trouble. The house might not have been particularly luxurious, but it was the only thing his parents had left behind, so Owen had decided to protect it.That afternoon, he put on his hoodie and quickly left the house, getting into the ride-hailing car he had booked.“We’ve arrived at Grand Sky Mall, sir,” the driver said several minutes later.Owen looked outside. The car had stopped, and he had arrived at the mall. After making the payment online, Owen immediately got out. He quickened his pace toward a place called Sentinel Security Center (SSC).A young man at the front desk looked at him.“How may I help you, sir?”Owen immediately explained what he wanted.“I want the best surveillance cameras you have, along with the most advanced security system.”The young man wrote down Owen’s request b
