CHAPTER 70.

Steve was sitting at the store man's desk with a laptop open in front of him. His eyes were fixed on the list of names that the store owner had given him earlier that day, trying to find any leads on who could have purchased the missing jewellery. As he scanned, the store owner called his attention to the name attached to the purchase of the jewellery.

And without hesitating, Steve checked, but then, his eyes suddenly widened in surprise.

"Winfield!" he said out with, disbelief etched on his face.

"You know him?" The store owner was pushed to ask, but then Steve never said a word .

Instead, he read the name again, just to make sure he wasn't mistaken. "It can't be."

But the name remained the same, and Steve's mind raced with the possibilities. Truly, they had found the necklace with Winfield, but he still doubted it.
