Chapter 5

His face was immediately lightened up as he saw Kim Morris.

"Lord Edward Morris, where was this beauty all these years?!"

Jose Claude's voice was laced with happiness and emotions as he just couldn't remove his gaze from Kim Morris.

The whole family of the Morris's immediately stood up and bowed before Jose Claude.

Jose Claude's family was one of the top and most influential families in all of Oakville and his father, Lord Claude was a dreaded man because of his vast network and connections in and across the whole country.

"Jose Claude, that is Kim Morris, she has finally been healed of her burns and scars."

Lord Edward Morris immediately replied as she stood before Jose Claude.

"Well now that she is healed, I want to marry her!"

"Lord Edward Morris, call off any marriage arrangement that Kim Morris has and I will help your family get access to Hector's global group!"

Jose Claude's voice was laced with a mixture of authority and determination.

He had hit Lord Edward Morris, Lady Barbara Morris and the whole Morris family right where it hurt them.

Lord Edward Morris gasped immediately.

"Are you sure you will do that…for us?"

Lord Edward Morris's voice was laced with a mixture of bewilderment and curiosity.

The Hectors global group is one of the most prestigious groups in the whole of the country.

No one could even get access to them by any chance.

You only get to them by invitation when you are deemed worthy by Lord Hector, his two sons, Seth and Shane Hector and his board of trustees.

Lord Edward Morris, Lady Barbara Morris and the whole Morris family had been trying since forever to get access to Hector's global group but all their efforts had ended in futility.

Striking a deal with Hector's global group had been one of Lord Hector's top priorities for a long time, he had even tried to incentivize some of his children and grandchildren into landing just a three billion dollar contract and none of them had ever crossed the gates of Hector's global group not to talk of seeing their receptionist.

Jose Claude's proposal had really struck a chord with the whole of Morris's family.

The situation was intense and palpable as everyone glared at each other back and forth.

Cough! Cough!

Kim Morris finally broke the awkward silence that was already covering the voyeur.

"So sorry to disappoint you…Jose Claude, but I'm married already and I can't divorce Danny Allen."

Kim Morris's voice was laced with a mixture of confusion and bewilderment as she stared at the faces of Lord Edward Morris and Lady Barbara Morris who now looked as if they were contemplating Jose Claude's offer.

"Kim, will you keep quiet?!"

"What the hell do you even know about getting married!"

"We married you to offer that poor nobody who has no family name all because of your condition at the moment."

"Now that you are okay and super attractive, I also want you to leave Danny Allen or whatever you say his name is!"

"Even the least of us here can afford to pay him back the useless two million dollars that he had paid for your auction!"

Mrs Tamara Morris immediately added, her voice laced with a mixture of annoyance and bewilderment as she walked towards the door and pulled Kim Morris away from the door.

She had never liked Danny Allen and had always thought that he was just a poor gold digger who had just borrowed money to impress them and get their family name attached to himself.

"Mom, you are hurting my hand!"

Kim Morris yelled as she immediately yanked Mrs Tamara Morris' hands off her wrist.

"Kim, have you lost your mind?!"

"That dude is a gold digger, I bet he is only here to plunder our family's wealth."

"Can't you see his worn-out shoes?”

"Analysis shows that you can tell a person's social class level by just looking at their shoes and I can tell that Danny Allen has no class at all!"

Mrs Tamara Morris' voice was laced with a mixture of anger and frustration.

Immediately Mr Kenneth Morris began, he had never wanted to meddle in his daughter's choice of man but he and his family had been ridiculed for too long because of Kim Morris's previous condition.

So he saw Jose Claude's interest in his now beautiful daughter as an opportunity to really take his family to the next level.

"Kim, you have to listen to your mother, she wants the best for you and our family at large."

"You can call off the wedding engagement with Danny Allen and go for Jose Claude."

"I bet he is a better man than Danny Allen, he is from one of the top elite families."

Mr Kenneth Morris' voice was laced with a little bit of reason but Kim Morris wasn't here to banter words about marrying Danny Allen.

For all she cares, her parents, Mr Kenneth and Mrs Tamara Morris, her grandparents, Lord Edward Morris and Lady Barbara Morris and all her four cousins had been one of the reasons she had hated her life and had wanted to just die off when her body was still disfigured.

At one time, she had told one of the doctors attending to her to just inject her with a lethal poison so that she would just die off but she disagreed.

"Dad, you can't force me to divorce Danny Allen and marry Jose Claude!"

Kim Morris' voice was now laced with a mixture of anger and determination.

Her fist was clenched in vexation, she gritted her teeth in annoyance as she stared at Mr Kenneth Morris.

The situation was intense and palpable as Lady Barbara Morris immediately walked over to Kim Morris slowly.

Danny Allen and Jefferson were still outside and weren't aware of what was even happening in the Morris's family Villa.

"Kim, Listen to your parents, imagine living in a penthouse and enjoying the sky view from the most luxurious of places, that's the kind of life you get if you divorce that wretch you call a man and marry Jose Claude."

"Please, don't let your beautiful body be a waste to yourself and our family."

"We have been trying so hard to get the notice of Hector's global group, please don't mess up this one in a billion chance."

Lady Barbara Morris' voice was a bit above whispers as she held Kim Morris's hand.

Kim Morris immediately had tears welling down her eyes as she remembered all the sorrows and disdain that all her family members had heaved upon her during her days of predicament.
