Collecting Herb

The room was lack of light. Only a moonlight through the windows lighted the room. On the chair, a man was holding a glassful of wine. Two athletic men guarded both sides of this person.

His eyes were glazing at the three kneeled persons. Suddenly, he threw the wine to the floor. A sprinkling of water was wetting those three persons.

"So, how you could explain this to me?" The man's deep sound was reverberating inside the room.

One of the kneeled persons spoke up. He stuttered, "W-we will find that girl as soon as possible. Mr. Jean Moore, please give us a few days."

Jean Moore stood. He walked slowly to the three. He squatted and grabbed the chin of the only woman in those three kneeled persons.

"One week. I will give you one week to find that girl. If you fail, your tiny gang will be destroyed."

He stood again and added, "You can go now."

Then, the three kneeled persons went out of the room as soon as possible. After that, Jean Moore was looking outside through the window.

"Mage in this city supposed to those three persons only. Is that you, Kieran? No no, it was impossible that guy became a mage. Does another mage arrive in this city?"

Jean furrowed his forehead and suggested who was taking the high-priced Kitsune that he bought.

On the other place. Kieran and Mio, who wore Kieran’s coat to hide her identity, walked in the forest.

Ray of morning light was coming out through the dense tree. The fresh air of nature cooled the forest.

"Why we should be here? I am not used to doing this," Mio protested. She expanded her cheeks and glazed Kieran with annoyed eyes.

"We need to collect the herbs, so I could make a herbal and sell it. then we will have money to buy food. If you want to eat, just shut up and help me," Kieran replied.

"If you want me to help you, break! this! chains!" Mio was showing the chains that bind her hands.

"So? if you think it's hard to use your hands. Just use your tail," Kieran shrugged.

Mio protested again, but Kieran ignored her. Besides the herb, Kieran went to the forest to try his skill. Amantha city wasn't the right place to try his skill.

After walking for around 30 minutes, Kieran dan Mio arrived at the place where herbs were sprouting there. Kieran crouched down and pick one herb. "Look, you must collect this kind of herb. Put all of that in the bag."

Mio picked the herb from Kieran’s hand and look it carefully. "It looks like same as other plants. By the way, where you will go?"

"I will hunt some animal for breakfast. You might not eat for a long time, right?" Kieran said.

Mio shook her hand, "I don't eat for 5 days."

"Sit there and collect the herbs. I'll come back for 15 minutes."

After that, Kieran went from that place to hunt some animals. This forest was an usual place for the population of Amantha City to hunt. There was various kind of animal that live in this forest. Neither monsters nor beasts lived in this forest, at least, the people didn't find it for 30 years or more.

Kieran muttered, "Mage is a general term for people that could use the skill. As far as I know, there are 7 types of skills. buff and debuff, conjuration, enchanting, healing, summoning, illusion, and the last is energy blast."

Kieran felt warm mana spreading over his body. After that, he could sense that his body was stronger than before. Suddenly, Kieran was running. The silent and tranquil forest became noisy with Kieran’s activities. Kieran jumped, punched the tree, and do other actions. After 5 minutes, Kieran stopped.

Kieran activated the third skill. In a second, the view was changing into darkness. He couldn't see anything, but he was able to sense everything in the doom. Kieran was trying to punch the tree. He could sense the punch was more powerful than before.

After 20 seconds, the skill was inactive. He saw that his intelligence decreased again to 1.6/2.4, which means that Night Doom cost 0.5 Intelligent for one use. It was a high cost for one skill. Kieran realized that he must increase his statistic, especially his Intelligent.

"The first and third of my skill is buff type skill, and the second skill is conjuration type skill."

Conjuration skill was a skill that could create something out of nothingness. This kind of skill usually will be good or no based on how the mage used it. His 2nd skill

The most common thing to increase intelligence was meditation. The problem was every religion had unique meditation which was different from others. Kieran who was finding the scriptures didn't have someone who could teach him about Asmodeus Believer meditation.

Kieran snapped his fingers, "Huh, I almost forget about breakfast."

In this forest, the most common animal that you could find was a wild rabbit. Kieran was hunting in this forest almost every day. He was experienced to hunt wild rabbits. Usually, he used a trap, but this time he directly attacked the rabbit. Kieran used [Asmodeus Bless] to catch the rabbit. After 3 minutes, he catches 4 rabbits. Despite the rabbit, he took the number of fresh fruits.

Then, Kieran went to Mio's place. He saw Mio sleeping using the full of herb bag as her pillow. The coat and her Kimono looked messy which make Kieran could see Mio's white pants.

Kieran turned his face away. He walked approaching Mio and kicked her body softly. "Oy, fox girl! Don't use that as your pillow," Kieran rebuked.

"Ngh~" Mio stretched her hands widely. Then she pushed her body to the sit position. She opened her eyes widely and looked at Kieran with a smile, "Good Morning."

Kieran threw an apple toward her face.

"Aw!" Mio would be angry, but she saw what Kieran threw was an apple. So, she grabbed the apple and bit it.
